Yes. A cloud service can send prerecorded videos to YouTube as a continuous encoder-based livestream, and you can set that YouTube stream to Unlisted. The service acts as a remote encoder: it sends your selected media and stream credentials to YouTube. YouTube does not turn an ordinary uploaded video into a livestream or provide a special “loop” switch for this.

How cloud looping and Unlisted visibility work

YouTube livestreams created with an encoder can be set to Public, Private, or Unlisted. A cloud looping service takes the place of an encoder running on your computer: you select prerecorded media, provide YouTube’s ingest details, and the service sends the continuing broadcast to YouTube.

Unlisted is a visibility setting, not a guarantee of secrecy. Anyone with the watch-page link may be able to watch, and the link can be shared. Handle it accordingly. YouTube’s encoder setup guidance explains the visibility choices and connection workflow.

Set up an unlisted cloud livestream

  1. Enable live streaming for your channel. YouTube says first-time enablement may take up to 24 hours.
  2. Create or schedule a stream in YouTube Studio. Set its visibility to Unlisted. Check the selected visibility on the stream itself rather than assuming a previous setting carried over.
  3. Copy the server URL and stream key from YouTube Studio. Enter them in the cloud service’s YouTube destination settings. Treat the stream key like a password: do not share it, and consult the provider’s current instructions for storage, rotation, or revocation. The cited provider description does not establish its key-security practices.
  4. Choose the media and playback order in the cloud service. Select a video or playlist and set the repeat or order behavior the service offers. For example, Looping Stream describes selecting one file or multiple videos in order and using a YouTube RTMP destination; that is the provider’s description of its workflow, not an independent verification.
  5. Start or schedule the cloud broadcast, then check YouTube Studio. Review the preview and stream health, and confirm the stream title and Unlisted visibility. Open the watch page and verify the actual viewing experience before sharing its link.
  6. Decide how the broadcast should end and whether you need an archive. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Its guidance does not promise a complete archive for a broadcast that runs longer than 12 hours.

Check ingest compatibility before relying on a service

YouTube recommends RTMPS, a secure extension of RTMP, for live ingest. Its encoder settings guidance lists H.264, H.265/HEVC, or AV1 video; AAC or MP3 audio; and constant bitrate encoding. The appropriate bitrate and other output settings depend on resolution and frame rate, so use YouTube’s current settings table together with the cloud provider’s supported output options instead of copying generic values.

YouTube’s verified-encoder directory lists Gyre as a cloud-based option for continuous prerecorded-video streaming and reproduces its claims about Full HD and 4K. Those are vendor descriptions in YouTube’s directory, not a guarantee of performance. The directory also lists AWS Elemental MediaLive as a software encoder; that listing alone does not establish a turnkey playlist-looping workflow.

What to check when choosing a cloud service

The evidence establishes that cloud looping is technically feasible, but it does not establish independent reliability, security, privacy behavior, or commercial terms for a particular provider. Before trusting a service with a continuous stream, verify these points directly:
