Short answer: CameraFi Live and Streamlabs both document mobile tools for producing YouTube streams, but neither cited product documentation promises unattended 24/7 operation. Choose between them for their production features—not on the assumption that a phone app will keep a channel live continuously. If the requirement is uninterrupted playback of prerecorded videos, consider a purpose-built cloud workflow instead.
What CameraFi Live and Streamlabs are designed to do
The available product documentation describes mobile production workflows. That is useful for choosing how to capture and present a stream, but it does not establish that either app can run continuously without supervision.
CameraFi Live
CameraFi Live promotes streaming from a phone, mobile gameplay, overlays and widgets, and connections to external cameras. Its listed production tools include images, text, filters, video and audio options, and presets. Its official page lists YouTube, Facebook, and Twitch as supported platforms. These feature descriptions do not amount to a 24/7 uptime or unattended-restart guarantee.
Streamlabs
Streamlabs’ mobile documentation covers streaming from a phone camera or screen, with configurable output and audio settings. Its guides also describe scene and layout customization, resolution, frame rate, bitrate, and camera settings. Multistreaming is documented as an Ultra feature; check Streamlabs’ current plan terms before relying on it. The cited guides do not promise that a mobile stream can stay live unattended around the clock.

What YouTube requires before you go live
YouTube’s general live-stream guidance says the channel must be verified and must not have had a live-stream restriction in the preceding 90 days. First-time live-stream activation can take up to 24 hours. The general guidance states a minimum age of 16; requirements may vary by streaming method. Complete activation before planning a scheduled launch.

A 24-hour stream may not produce a complete replay
YouTube’s archive guidance says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived, but warns: “If your live stream exceeds 12 hours, it may not be captured at all.” Do not treat one continuous 24/7 broadcast as a guaranteed complete recording. If a complete replay matters, plan separate recordings or shorter sessions and verify the resulting archives.
Choose the workflow by the content source
The key decision is whether the channel needs a live camera feed or continuous playback of prerecorded video. A mobile app can fit a supervised, phone-based production; a 24/7 unattended requirement calls for a workflow whose continuous operation is specifically documented.

YouTube’s encoder directory identifies Gyre as a cloud-based option for continuous streams of prerecorded video. That differs from sending a live camera feed: the content is uploaded video played as a stream. The directory listing does not establish a head-to-head performance or price comparison with other services.

YouTube describes mobile streaming as suited to vlogging and quick updates, while encoder streaming can suit more advanced production and external equipment. These are workflow descriptions, not a categorical ban on using a mobile app for a long stream. However, the cited documentation does not settle the practical questions that matter for unattended use—such as heat, power, session limits, or recovery after a disconnect—so do not treat either app as a proven set-and-forget solution.

YouTube recommends continuously monitoring stream audio and video quality. Its streaming tips recommend bandwidth headroom of 20% above the total stream bitrate. Leave that margin available on the upload connection rather than budgeting the full upload capacity to the stream. For a genuinely continuous channel, arrange ongoing human or system oversight; the cited mobile app material does not establish unattended recovery.

Which should you choose?
- Choose CameraFi Live if its phone-production tools, overlays, gameplay workflow, or external-camera connections suit a stream you can supervise.
- Choose Streamlabs if its documented mobile camera/screen workflow and production controls suit your setup; check the current Ultra terms if you need multistreaming.
- For unattended continuous camera video, evaluate a camera-streaming workflow such as the CamStreamer option listed by YouTube.
- For continuous prerecorded playback, evaluate a purpose-built cloud option such as Gyre, which YouTube lists, or StreamNeo for uploaded-video looping. These listings do not establish comparative reliability or price.
