Valve’s review process checks controller input, display support and legibility, a seamless experience without compatibility warnings or unusable launchers, and system support such as Proton and middleware compatibility. Until a rating appears, performance, controls, text size, and startup behavior remain unconfirmed.

The separate Quiet Express: Cabin 909 Demo released on Steam on 16 October 2026. SteamDB records the demo as Windows-supported with full controller support and links it to the full game’s app. Those facts confirm a Windows preview and controller support in its listed configuration, but they do not establish Steam Deck compatibility.

A controller-support label is narrower than a Deck rating. It does not by itself confirm Proton startup, readable text, correct video playback, suspend-and-resume behavior, or a launcher-free experience. If you try the demo on a Deck, treat the result as an individual experiment rather than evidence that the 2027 full release will be Verified.
A cautious way to test the demo on a Deck
- Install the demo only if you accept that its store status is Windows-supported and the Deck result is unconfirmed.
- Keep the default compatibility settings initially so you can identify whether the game starts without modifications.
- Test the complete path: launch, reach gameplay, open every important menu, adjust settings, save or progress if the demo allows it, and exit back to Steam.
