Burning Sword: Death Sun is listed on Steam as Coming soon, with Windows PC minimum and recommended system requirements published. Steam Deck Compatibility is currently marked Unknown, so there is no displayed compatibility verdict or game-specific performance test to confirm how it runs on Deck.
What are the minimum system requirements?
Steam lists these as the minimum requirements for the unreleased Windows PC game. They are specifications, not a measured performance guarantee.
| Component | Minimum |
|---|---|
| Operating system | Windows 10 64-bit or newer |
| Processor | AMD Ryzen 5 2600X or Intel Core i5-8600 |
| Memory | 16 GB RAM |
| Graphics | AMD RX 5700 or “GTX 3060” |
| DirectX | Version 12 |
| Available storage | 50 GB |
| Additional storage note | “15GB SATA SSD” |
The graphics wording above reproduces Steam’s listing, including “GTX 3060”; the page does not clarify that model name. It also lists 50 GB of available space separately from the “15GB SATA SSD” note, without explaining how the figures relate. See the Steam store listing.
What are the recommended system requirements?
Steam’s recommended configuration is:
| Component | Recommended |
|---|---|
| Operating system | Windows 10 64-bit or newer |
| Processor | AMD Ryzen 5 5600X or Intel Core i5-11600K |
| Memory | 16 GB RAM |
| Graphics | Radeon RX 6700 XT or GeForce RTX 3070 |
| DirectX | Version 12 |
| Available storage | 50 GB |
| Additional storage note | “15GB SSD PCIe compatible” |
The separate “15GB SSD PCIe compatible” note is not explained by the store page, so it should not be treated as a stated install size or capacity recommendation. Meeting the listed recommended GPU alone does not establish that a PC meets the full recommended requirements.

Is Burning Sword: Death Sun compatible with Steam Deck?
Steam currently displays the game’s Steam Deck Compatibility as Unknown. That means the store page does not show an established rating; it is not a finding that the game either works or fails on Deck.
Steamworks says Deck review considers factors such as support for Deck’s physical controls and, for Windows games run through Proton, Proton-specific compatibility issues. Those general review criteria do not establish this game’s Deck performance. Although the store lists full controller support and recommends playing with a controller, controller support alone does not determine the Deck rating. See Steamworks’ Steam Deck compatibility review guidance.

There is also a limited historical data point: on July 7, 2025, a developer account replied in a Steam Community discussion about a player-reported demo loading or black-screen issue, saying the team did not then have a Steam Deck to check whether that issue had been resolved. That reply describes the team’s access at that time and in that issue’s context; it does not establish whether the game has since been tested or how the current game runs on Deck. The Steam Community discussion contains the dated exchange.

What to check before comparing your PC
- Compare your CPU and GPU with the corresponding minimum or recommended alternatives in the tables; matching one component does not prove the whole configuration meets a tier.
- Check that your PC has 16 GB RAM, Windows 10 64-bit or newer, DirectX 12, and the listed available storage.
- Do not infer an FPS estimate or Deck playability from these PC requirements. Neither is established by the Steam information cited here.
- Requirements, release status, and the Deck field may change. Revisit the Steam page for its current listing before buying or installing.
