Buccaneers linebacker Josiah Trotter went from limited participation Wednesday to a full practice Thursday while working back from a shoulder issue. After practicing fully again Friday, head coach Todd Bowles said Trotter was “good” for Tampa Bay’s Week 4 game against Green Bay.
Did Josiah Trotter practice Thursday?
Yes. Tampa Bay’s official Oct. 1 injury report listed Trotter as limited Wednesday and a full participant Thursday for a shoulder issue. The team’s status key defines FP as “Full Participation” and LP as “Limited Participation.”
Is Trotter playing against the Packers?
The later update is more encouraging than Thursday’s practice alone: Trotter also practiced fully Friday, and Bowles said he was “good” for the Week 4 contest, according to the Buccaneers’ Oct. 2 injury report and availability update. That is the coach’s availability assessment, not a guarantee of how Trotter will perform or how many snaps he will play.
CBS Sports/RotoWire’s Oct. 1 report said the shoulder issue had kept Trotter out of Tampa Bay’s Week 3 game against Minnesota and expected him to return to his starting inside-linebacker role against Green Bay. That role was an expectation in the report, not a confirmed snap count.

What a full practice does—and does not—establish
“Full” describes Trotter’s participation on the team’s practice report. It does not by itself establish that the shoulder was medically fully recovered or confirm his game-day workload. The clearest current availability signal in these reports is the combination of Friday’s full participation and Bowles’s statement that he was “good” for the game.
