First identify what “wrong page size” means
Browshot has separate settings for how much of a page to capture and the dimensions of the desktop browser window. Changing one does not substitute for the other.

Capture the full page instead of the viewport
Browshot’s default screen mode captures the browser screen. To include the full page, use size=page. The command-line guide shows this option for full-page screenshots: Browshot’s wget guide.
For example, add size=page to the parameters in your existing API request. Keep any other settings you need, such as the chosen browser instance. The size option controls capture extent; it does not set the desktop viewport dimensions.

Set the desktop browser dimensions
For a desktop browser, use screen_width and screen_height to set the browser-window dimensions. Browshot’s API documentation lists width values from 1 to 5000 and height values from 1 to 10000; it also says full-page screenshots can be up to 15,000 pixels high. These are documented limits, not a guarantee that a target page will render usefully at every extreme. Check the live API documentation if your request depends on a boundary value: Browshot API Documentation.
Make sure you are using a desktop instance when setting these dimensions. Browshot also offers virtual mobile devices and configurable screen resolutions, so the selected browser context can affect the resulting image. Some Browshot examples use screen=1024x768 as a resolution setting. The full screenshot API names the desktop browser-window controls screen_width and screen_height; use the parameter names appropriate to the API endpoint or tool you are calling.
Fix a full-page image that is missing content
A full-page request controls the capture extent, but it cannot guarantee that every part of a dynamic site is ready. JavaScript, lazy loading, and content triggered by scrolling may leave sections blank or absent when the capture occurs.

Allow more time after page load
Try a post-load delay when a page needs additional time for scripts or assets to appear. Browshot documents this setting, but the required wait depends on the target site; a delay is a diagnostic option, not a universal fix. See the API documentation for the current parameter details.
Scroll before taking the screenshot
For pages that load content as the visitor scrolls, Browshot’s JavaScript guide demonstrates scrolling down before capturing with size=page, together with a delay: Execute JavaScript before the screenshot. Adapt the example to the page and capture workflow you use. Scrolling may not trigger content inside every nested scroll area, and site-specific behavior can still prevent an element from loading.

Request a fresh capture when settings change
Browshot can reuse a prior screenshot of the same URL and instance during its cache interval. If you change the size, viewport, delay, or script and the output still looks unchanged, set cache=0 to request a new capture rather than reusing cached output. See the API documentation for cache behavior.
Troubleshoot in this order
- Only the visible screen is present: check whether the request omitted
size=page. Browshot defaults to screen capture. - Desktop width or height is wrong: check
screen_widthandscreen_height, and verify that the chosen instance is a desktop browser. - The full-page image omits dynamic content: try a suitable post-load
delay; if the page loads content on scroll, try a pre-capture scroll script. - Changed settings do not affect the result: request a fresh capture with
cache=0. - The page is still incomplete: confirm that the target site actually loads the missing content in the selected browser context, and check whether the content depends on a nested scroll area or another site-specific interaction. Neither a delay nor a scroll script guarantees that all page content will load.

Does size=page set the browser viewport dimensions?
No. It requests full-page capture. Use screen_width and screen_height for desktop browser-window dimensions.
Will adding a delay always make lazy-loaded content appear?
