Choose Bluehost AI Website Builder if you want a guided, hosted WordPress site or store with a bundled domain, SSL, WooCommerce, Yoast SEO Premium and 24/7 human support. Choose Framer if visual control, responsive interactions, CMS-connected design and a polished canvas matter more than built-in commerce.
The platforms solve different problems. Bluehost is a business-launch workflow that happens to use AI; Framer is a design-first website canvas with AI assistance. The comparison below explains the cost snapshots, setup process, commerce and CMS differences, technical trade-offs and the type of team each platform fits best.
Bluehost AI Website Builder vs Framer at a glance
Both products can generate a site from prompts, but the starting assumptions are different. Bluehost begins with a guided WordPress setup for a small business. Framer begins with a visual project that you refine on a canvas.
| Decision point | Bluehost AI Website Builder | Framer |
|---|---|---|
| Primary audience | Nontechnical business owners, solopreneurs and entrepreneurs | Designers, agencies, startups and marketing teams |
| Initial workflow | Answer industry questions, add brand inputs and let AI create a WordPress site or store | Describe a site or page, receive an editable project, then refine it visually |
| Hosting | Bluehost hosting bundled with the paid plan | Framer hosting for paid publishing |
| Domain | First-year domain listed with the paid plan | First year included on yearly plans on the comparison page |
| Editing | Chat and inline AI, drag-and-drop and manual WordPress controls | Visual canvas, AI prompts, plugins and code components |
| CMS | WordPress ecosystem | Native CMS connected to the canvas and AI agents |
| SEO | Yoast SEO Premium included on the listed paid offer | Built-in SEO controls with more hands-on implementation |
| Commerce | WooCommerce included | No native WooCommerce feature is listed on the cited comparison |

| Code export | No full-code export listed | No full-code export listed on the comparison page |
What Bluehost AI Website Builder actually provides
Bluehost describes its product as an AI-powered way to create a fully hosted WordPress website without coding or prior WordPress knowledge. The guided flow can create either a non-commerce business site or an online store. After generation, you can continue with drag-and-drop controls, normal WordPress administration, chat-based edits or inline AI changes.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The onboarding is aimed at a fast first launch. Bluehost says the wizard asks industry-specific questions and accepts inputs such as a logo, photos and a reference URL. Those details give the generator context about your business and visual identity before it creates pages. The result is still a WordPress site, so you retain access to the broader WordPress ecosystem rather than being confined to a proprietary page format.
Bluehost’s help material says customers keep full ownership of their content and data with Bluehost Shared hosting. That is an important distinction for a business that expects to retain its copy, images and customer information while changing themes, plugins or hosting arrangements later. The documented audience is small-business owners, solopreneurs and entrepreneurs who want to launch quickly.
Bluehost also presents WordPress as powering 43% of the web. That figure is a Bluehost vendor claim, not an independent measurement supplied for this comparison, so treat it as context rather than a performance guarantee.

Framer positions itself as a visual website platform for agencies, CMS sites, landing pages, marketing sites, no-code websites, AI generation and Figma-to-website workflows. Its central object is a visual canvas: you arrange sections, typography, breakpoints and interactions directly, then publish through Framer hosting.
Framer’s AI page says you can describe the website, page or update you need and receive editable pages, sections, copy and visuals directly in the project. You can keep refining through conversation or take over on the canvas at any point. That combination is useful when the first generated layout is only a starting point and the final result must match a brand system precisely.

- 5-in-1 USB-C Hub: Experience comprehensive connectivity featuring a Power Delivery input, two USB-A 2.0 ports, a USB-A 3.0 port, and an HDMI port. (Note: The USB-C power delivery input port is only for connecting an external wall charger to power your laptop and cannot power peripheral devices.)
- 90W Pass-Through Charging: Achieve optimal charging with 90W pass-through power to your laptop, supported by a total input of 100W, with the hub reserving 10W for operational efficiency. (Note: Wall charger not included.)
- Quick Data Transfers: Accelerate your productivity with rapid data transfers using a high-speed 5Gbps USB 3.0 port and two 480Mbps USB 2.0 ports.
- 4K HDMI Display: Enhance your visual experience with a hub capable of delivering 4K resolution at 30Hz in both mirror and extend modes. Please note that this hub is compatible with MacBook (macOS 12 and newer), Windows 10 and 11, ChromeOS, and laptops equipped with DP Alt Mode and Power Delivery. Note: This device is not compatible with Linux.
- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (5-in-1, 4K HDMI), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
Framer also documents AI agents that work with CMS collections and content, build code components and review a project for contrast problems, typos, missing alt text, SEO gaps and inconsistent styles. Those capabilities make Framer more than a one-shot site generator: the AI can assist with content operations and quality checks after the initial build.
Pricing, trials and what the numbers mean
Price comparisons are complicated by different billing views and plan names. The figures below are snapshots from 2026 pages, not a promise of current checkout pricing. Confirm the exact plan, billing interval, region, included limits and renewal terms before paying.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →| Platform and offer | Published price snapshot | Included or stated benefits |
|---|---|---|
| Bluehost Get Online, monthly billing | $15.99 per month | Paid-plan features listed by Bluehost, including hosting, first-year domain, SSL, weekly backups, CDN, cPanel, 20 GB storage, WooCommerce and Yoast SEO Premium |
| Bluehost Get Online, one- or two-year term | $9.99 per month | Same listed paid-plan feature set; term pricing and renewal conditions should be checked at checkout |
| Bluehost trial | 14-day free trial | Trial availability and any restrictions should be confirmed during signup |
| Bluehost AI allowance | 30 tokens in the first month, then 20 tokens per month | Allowance described for the listed offer; token consumption rules are plan-specific |
| Framer Basic, annual comparison price | $10 per month | Price shown on Framer’s comparison page; annual billing applies |
| Framer Starter example | $29 per month | Example displayed on Framer’s current AI page; page-specific snapshot |
| Framer Professional example | $49 per month | Example displayed on Framer’s current AI page; page-specific snapshot |
The Framer figures are not directly interchangeable. A $10 monthly equivalent on an annual comparison page is a different commitment from a monthly figure shown for Starter or Professional. Likewise, Bluehost’s $9.99 figure requires a one- or two-year term, while $15.99 is the monthly-billing figure. Compare the total first-term payment, renewal rate, storage, traffic, CMS limits, collaborators and support—not only the headline monthly number.
How to build a site with Bluehost AI Website Builder
Bluehost is the more structured route when you want the system to make early decisions for you. Use this sequence to avoid generating a generic site and then rebuilding it.
- Choose the site type. Start the AI Website Builder flow and select a business site or online store. Selecting commerce at the beginning helps the setup account for product and checkout needs.
- Prepare your inputs. Have your business name, industry, service descriptions, logo, preferred photos, contact details and a reference URL ready. Specific information produces a more useful first draft than a one-line prompt.
- Answer the industry questions. Provide the location you serve, primary offer, audience and desired calls to action. These answers shape the page structure and initial copy.
- Review the generated WordPress site. Check the home page, navigation, contact path, legal pages, images and mobile layout before editing details. AI output is a draft, not proof that every business fact is correct.
- Edit with the available controls. Use chat or inline AI for targeted changes, then use drag-and-drop and WordPress controls for spacing, sections, menus and settings that need exact placement.
- Configure the essentials. Connect the included domain, verify SSL, set business contact information, configure backups and CDN options, and review the cPanel controls provided with the plan.
- Set up SEO and commerce where needed. Yoast SEO Premium is listed with the paid offer. For a store, configure WooCommerce products, payment methods, shipping, taxes, transactional email and refund information before accepting orders.
- Test before publishing. Submit the contact form, place a test order if applicable, inspect pages on a phone, confirm links and check that the business name and service claims are accurate.
The practical advantage is a single hosted stack with WordPress, commerce, backups and human help in the same purchase. The trade-off is that you work inside WordPress conventions and Bluehost’s AI allowance rather than a purely visual design environment.

- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)
- Double Up on Efficiency: The two USB-A 3.0 ports and a USB-C port support a fast 5Gbps data rate, significantly boosting your transfer speeds and improving productivity.

How to build a site with Framer
Framer gives you more control over composition, so define the design system early instead of treating every section as a separate decoration.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- Describe the project. Tell Framer’s AI what kind of site you need, who it serves, the pages required, the tone and the desired visual direction. Ask for a concrete sitemap and section structure rather than only “make it modern.”
- Inspect the editable result. Review generated pages, sections, copy and visuals on the canvas. Replace generic text and images with approved brand assets before polishing.
- Establish visual rules. Set type styles, color variables, spacing, buttons and responsive breakpoints. Reusing these rules prevents drift as more pages are added.
- Build interactions deliberately. Add hover states, transitions, scroll effects and component variants only where they improve comprehension or navigation. Excess animation can distract from a marketing message.
- Connect the CMS. Create collections for repeatable content such as articles, case studies, team profiles or locations. Framer’s documented AI agents can work with CMS collections and content, but you remain responsible for field structure and editorial accuracy.
- Use code components when necessary. Framer documents AI-assisted code-component creation for behavior that the visual controls do not cover. Keep components small and test them at each breakpoint.
- Run the review agents. Ask the documented agents to check contrast, typos, missing alt text, SEO gaps and inconsistent styles. Resolve each finding manually and confirm that automated suggestions fit your content.
- Publish and connect the domain. Choose the paid publishing plan that matches your traffic, CMS and collaboration needs, then verify the domain, metadata, redirects and forms on the live site.
This workflow suits a team that wants to see and adjust every visual decision. It demands more ownership of responsive behavior, content modeling and SEO implementation than the guided Bluehost path.
Commerce: when Bluehost is the safer default
Bluehost’s listed paid offer includes WooCommerce, so an online shop can use a mature WordPress commerce ecosystem for products, carts, checkout, shipping and extensions. You still need to configure payments, taxes, fulfillment, legal policies and order notifications; inclusion of WooCommerce does not complete those business decisions for you.
Framer’s comparison page does not list a native WooCommerce feature. Framer can be effective for a product landing page or a catalog-style marketing site, but a store requiring integrated carts, inventory and checkout should be evaluated for a separate commerce service and the resulting integration work. Do not assume that a visually polished Framer page supplies the operational functions of a full store.
Design control and learning curve
Choose Bluehost when guidance matters more than pixel precision
Bluehost’s questions, prompt gallery, brand inputs and WordPress defaults reduce the number of decisions required at launch. Someone who has never used WordPress can reach a working business site faster, then learn the underlying controls as needed. The cost of that convenience is less freedom to invent an unusual layout or interaction model without working against the site’s theme and WordPress structure.

Choose Framer when the canvas is the product
Framer is the better fit for a designer, agency or startup whose website is part of the brand experience. You can refine hierarchy, spacing, responsive layouts and interactions directly, import workflows associated with Figma, and create reusable components. No prior coding is required for ordinary pages, but design experience helps you make good decisions about grids, type scales, accessibility and motion.
CMS, SEO and content operations
Bluehost inherits WordPress’s broad ecosystem. Yoast SEO Premium is listed in the paid offer, giving a guided way to manage common on-page SEO tasks. WordPress also supports many content types and plugins, although every additional plugin introduces configuration and maintenance choices.
Framer’s native CMS keeps structured content connected to the visual canvas. Its AI agents can work with collections and review SEO gaps, alt text and style consistency. The platform therefore supports a clean design-to-content workflow, but the team must decide fields, templates, internal links, redirects and metadata rather than relying on a WordPress plugin’s established conventions.
Neither platform’s comparison material establishes independent search rankings, conversion rates or loading-speed results. Select based on workflow and required features, not on an unverified performance promise.
Hosting, support and ownership considerations
- Bluehost hosting: The paid offer bundles hosting, SSL, weekly backups, CDN, cPanel and 20 GB of storage. Bluehost advertises 24/7 human support for paid plans, which is useful when a domain, WordPress setting or store configuration blocks a launch.
- Framer hosting: Paid publishing uses Framer hosting. Documentation and higher-tier priority or dedicated support are described, but the cited material does not promise the same 24/7 human-support arrangement as Bluehost.
- Content ownership: Bluehost’s help page explicitly says customers keep full ownership of their content and data with Bluehost Shared hosting. Framer’s cited comparison does not provide an equivalent ownership statement, so review its current terms if portability is a deciding factor.
- Code portability: Neither comparison lists full code export. Plan for a rebuild or migration project if you later move to a different stack, and preserve original copy, images and structured data independently of the builder.
Which platform fits common projects?
| Project situation | Better starting choice | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Local service business needing a site this week | Bluehost | Guided questions, hosted WordPress, included domain and human support reduce setup friction |
| Small online shop | Bluehost | WooCommerce is included in the listed paid offer |
| Agency delivering highly art-directed marketing sites | Framer | Canvas control, reusable components, interactions and CMS workflows fit design-led production |
| Startup landing page with frequent visual experiments | Framer | AI-generated editable sections can be iterated directly on the canvas |
| Content-heavy WordPress publication | Bluehost | WordPress provides the underlying ecosystem and familiar editorial model |
| Portfolio where motion and responsive composition are central | Framer | Visual breakpoints and interaction controls are first-class parts of the workflow |
| Team with no design or WordPress experience | Bluehost | The guided flow and support are more prescriptive |
Requirements and checks before you commit
- Write down whether you need a store, recurring payments, bookings, memberships or only lead-generation forms.
- List the content types you will publish repeatedly: posts, products, case studies, locations or team profiles.
- Decide who owns design, copy, SEO, accessibility checks, updates and customer support after launch.
- Compare total first-term and renewal costs using the same billing interval; do not compare an annual equivalent with a monthly plan as if they were identical.
- Check domain terms, storage, traffic, CMS limits, collaborator seats, AI allowances and support level on the exact regional checkout page.
- Keep master copies of your text, images, logos and structured content so a future migration does not depend on an export feature that may not exist.
Common pitfalls and how to avoid them
Assuming AI copy is factually safe
Both products can generate copy and visuals. Verify prices, service areas, guarantees, testimonials, legal wording and product specifications yourself. Replace invented claims before publishing.
Best Value
- 5-in-1 Connectivity: Equipped with a 4K HDMI port, a 5 Gbps USB-C data port, two 5 Gbps USB-A ports, and a USB C 100W PD-IN port. Note: The USB C 100W PD-IN port supports only charging and does not support data transfer devices such as headphones or speakers.
- Powerful Pass-Through Charging: Supports up to 85W pass-through charging so you can power up your laptop while you use the hub. Note: Pass-through charging requires a charger (not included). Note: To achieve full power for iPad, we recommend using a 45W wall charger.
- Transfer Files in Seconds: Move files to and from your laptop at speeds of up to 5 Gbps via the USB-C and USB-A data ports. Note: The USB C 5Gbps Data port does not support video output.
- HD Display: Connect to the HDMI port to stream or mirror content to an external monitor in resolutions of up to 4K@30Hz. Note: The USB-C ports do not support video output.
- What You Get: Anker 332 USB-C Hub (5-in-1), welcome guide, our worry-free 18-month warranty, and friendly customer service.
Choosing from the cheapest headline alone
Bluehost’s $9.99 figure requires a one- or two-year term, while its monthly figure is $15.99. Framer’s $10 Basic figure is an annual comparison price, while Starter and Professional examples are shown at $29 and $49 per month. The billing commitment and included limits can matter more than the nominal monthly amount.
Launching a store without testing the transaction path
For Bluehost, run a complete test order and verify payment, tax, shipping, email and refund handling. For a Framer marketing site connected to an external commerce system, test every handoff between the landing page and checkout.
Ignoring accessibility and mobile behavior
Use Framer’s documented review checks for contrast and missing alt text where applicable, and perform your own keyboard and phone tests. In Bluehost, inspect the generated theme and every edited section at common screen widths; an AI-generated desktop layout is not proof of a usable mobile experience.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Expecting a builder to provide a business strategy
Neither platform chooses your offer, information architecture, analytics goals or conversion path. Define the primary action for each page, then use the builder’s AI to accelerate production rather than outsourcing those decisions.
Final decision
Bluehost AI Website Builder is the practical default for a small-business owner who wants a hosted WordPress site, an included domain and SSL, WooCommerce for commerce, Yoast SEO Premium, backups and access to human support in one guided package. It minimizes the number of technical decisions at launch.
Framer is the stronger choice for a designer, agency, startup or marketing team that values a visual canvas, precise responsive composition, interactions, CMS-connected content and AI agents that can create and review editable work. It gives you more design freedom, while asking you to take greater responsibility for content modeling, SEO details and integrations.
When the requirements are mixed, decide which constraint is non-negotiable: built-in WordPress commerce and guided operations point to Bluehost; visual authorship and interaction design point to Framer. Recheck the live plan pages and checkout before purchase because the prices and included limits cited here are 2026 snapshots and can change.
