For a sensible smooth-play target in NEXON’s global mobile version of Blue Archive, look for 6 GB of device memory, Android 9 or later or iOS 16, and about 30 GB of free storage. NEXON names the Galaxy Note 8 and iPhone 14 as phone references for those recommended tiers. These are publisher specifications, not a guarantee of a particular frame rate or proof that every model or used device with similar numbers will perform identically. A device that meets only the minimum may install and run the game but can still stutter.

What phone specs does Blue Archive recommend?

NEXON’s support FAQ recommends Android 9 or later with 6 GB RAM for Android, and iOS 16 with 6 GB memory for iPhone. It names a Galaxy Note 8 and an iPhone 14, respectively, as phone references. For the recommended tier, the FAQ lists 30 GB of required storage on either platform. The figures below reflect NEXON’s support guidance verified in 2026; they are specifications, not a publisher promise of constant frame rate.

Measure Android minimum Android recommended iPhone minimum iPhone recommended
Operating system Android 7 Android 9 or later iOS 15 iOS 16
NEXON phone reference Galaxy Note 5 Galaxy Note 8 iPhone XS iPhone 14
Device memory 4 GB RAM 6 GB RAM 4 GB 6 GB
Required free storage At least 15 GB 30 GB At least 15 GB 30 GB

NEXON’s FAQ supplies the four-column comparison; its Google Play description also gives the Android recommendation. The named phones are reference points, not a claim that every configuration, regional variant, or second-hand unit has been performance-certified. Check the actual device’s memory and condition rather than assuming a model name alone establishes suitability.

What should you buy or keep in mind?

If you are choosing between devices, use the recommended column as the target and the minimum column only as the lower compatibility boundary. The practical checklist is:

  • 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
  • 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
  • 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
  • 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
  • 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
  • OS: Android 9+ or iOS 16 is NEXON’s recommended tier; verify the actual device can run that version.
  • Memory: Aim for 6 GB of physical device memory. Do not confuse RAM with storage space.
  • Storage: Plan for 30 GB available at the recommended tier, not merely the size of the app-store listing.
  • Model and condition: Treat Note 8 and iPhone 14 as publisher references, then check the specific configuration and the condition of a used device.

When comparing two listings, compare these factors separately rather than relying on a single “gaming phone” label. Confirm the exact model and configuration, the OS it currently runs or can update to, its physical memory, and how much storage is actually free. For a used phone, seller condition matters too: a model name does not establish that a particular unit is in good working order. NEXON does not provide a chipset ranking or game-specific performance test for every device, so avoid treating a processor name or a similar-looking spec sheet as a guarantee.

What is the difference between minimum and recommended specs?

Minimum specs describe the publisher’s lower listed requirements; recommended specs are the more cautious target if smooth play is your aim. Meeting minimum requirements does not establish that gameplay will be stutter-free.

NEXON lists Android 7, a Galaxy Note 5 reference and 4 GB RAM for Android minimums. For iPhone, its minimum is iOS 15, an iPhone XS reference and 4 GB memory. The FAQ lists at least 15 GB of required storage for the minimum tier on either platform. Those numbers answer whether a device aligns with the stated minimum, not how well a particular device will perform during demanding scenes.

The distinction matters when comparing older or lower-memory devices. A phone can satisfy the OS requirement and still fall short of the recommended memory target; it can also have enough RAM but too little free storage. Check each requirement independently. NEXON announced the iOS minimum change to iPhone XS and 4 GB memory in October 2025, and said minimum requirements may change in the future. A device that qualifies today may not remain in the supported minimum tier indefinitely.

Put another way, “Can my phone run Blue Archive?” and “Will it play comfortably?” are not quite the same question. Compare your device with the minimums to gauge whether it meets NEXON’s lower listed threshold. For a more cautious purchase or upgrade target, compare it with the recommended column instead. Even a recommended-spec device is not promised to hold a specific frame rate in every situation, but the recommended figures are the better starting point if smoothness is your priority.

How much RAM and storage does Blue Archive need?

For a recommended-tier device, the publisher’s target is 6 GB of device memory and 30 GB of required storage; these measure different things. RAM is working memory used while the game and system are running. Free storage is room for the installation and game data.

Be careful with the word “size.” The live FAQ shows a 3 GB minimum download-capacity figure, while its required-storage figures are 15 GB at minimum and 30 GB recommended. NEXON’s February 2025 iOS recommendation notice instead gives 10 GB in a download-capacity row. Those download-related figures do not replace the FAQ’s storage planning figures, and the publisher materials do not present them as interchangeable. For device selection, use the FAQ’s required-storage amounts and leave enough space for the recommended 30 GB tier.

  • HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
  • BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.

  • INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.

The US App Store listing displayed a 446.9 MB package size when checked in 2026. That is the store listing’s app-package figure, not the full space requirement after game data is downloaded. A small listing number is therefore not evidence that a device with only a few gigabytes free has enough room for the game.

Storage requirements and store listings can change. Check the current support FAQ and your available—not nominal—space before installing. A device advertised with a certain storage capacity may already have much of that capacity occupied by its operating system, apps, photos or other data.

For a practical check, look at the device’s available storage in its settings rather than the storage number on the box or product page. If you are below the recommended 30 GB, the device does not match NEXON’s recommended storage figure, even if the app package itself appears small. The FAQ’s 15 GB minimum is a separate lower threshold, not a reason to treat 15 GB as the recommended amount.

Will Blue Archive play smoothly on a tablet?

Tablet compatibility and verified smooth performance are separate questions. The US App Store lists the game for iPad and specifies iPadOS 15 or later for installation, but NEXON’s recommended iOS phone reference is the iPhone 14; its FAQ does not name a recommended iPad model.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Apple’s list of iPadOS 16-capable iPads establishes that those iPads can run the operating system, not that they meet a game-specific performance guarantee. Use OS eligibility as one check, then assess the tablet’s memory and available storage. NEXON’s 6 GB recommended iOS memory target can serve as a cautious comparison point for an iPad, but it is not a tablet certification, and no particular iPad’s frame rate is established here.

For an Android tablet, Android 9 or later, at least 6 GB RAM and approximately 30 GB available space are sensible filters based on NEXON’s Android phone specifications. They remain phone-derived targets, not tablet-specific NEXON recommendations. Do not assume that a tablet with a compatible Android version is automatically equivalent to the named Galaxy phone reference.

So, “Will Blue Archive run on my iPad?” starts with the iPad’s supported iPadOS version and App Store compatibility, but that only answers whether the game is listed as installable. For a cautious smooth-play assessment, check available storage and memory too. The US listing’s iPadOS 15 installation requirement does not override the fact that NEXON’s recommended iPhone OS target is iOS 16, nor does it certify a particular iPad for smooth gameplay.

Why can the game lag on a phone that meets the requirements?

Published requirements are not a guarantee against stuttering. NEXON’s troubleshooting guidance points players to graphics quality, free storage, processor load and connection conditions; it does not supply a chipset-to-frame-rate chart or a list of devices guaranteed to sustain a particular FPS.

Lower graphics quality for skill-related stuttering

If stuttering happens during skills, NEXON’s prescribed setting path is Lobby Menu → Option → Graphics → Graphics Quality: Low. This is a first adjustment to try, not a way to turn an under-spec device into a recommended one. The publisher does not claim this setting will eliminate all lag.

Check space, load and connection

Confirm that the device still has adequate free storage, since the FAQ’s listed requirement is available storage rather than the device’s original capacity. Close or reduce other processor-intensive activity if the device is under heavy load, and check the connection environment if interruptions occur. NEXON says an internet connection is required to play, so offline play is not a fallback for a weak connection.

It also helps to separate symptoms: NEXON points to graphics quality for stuttering during skills, while it advises checking the connection environment for lag or interruptions. Those are troubleshooting checks, not proof of a single cause. A device can meet the listed OS and memory targets and still experience problems; the support guidance does not promise that a settings change or a better connection will resolve every case.

Do not treat an emulator as a performance fix

NEXON warns that Blue Archive is optimized for mobile devices and may have delays when run on an emulator. An emulator therefore is not an assured substitute for a compatible phone or tablet, particularly if the aim is consistent responsiveness.

How should you decide whether your current device is enough?

Compare the exact device against the publisher’s recommended column first, then use the minimum column to understand how far below that target it is. This is a compatibility-and-planning check, not an FPS prediction.

  1. Identify the platform and OS. Compare the installed or supported OS version with Android 9+ or iOS 16 for the recommended tier. For an iPad, also check that its iPadOS version is supported by the store listing.
  2. Confirm physical memory. Look up the exact device configuration and compare its RAM or memory with 6 GB. Do not use free storage as a substitute for RAM.
  3. Check available storage. Compare current free space, not the model’s advertised total, with the 30 GB recommended storage figure.
  4. Interpret the model reference narrowly. A Galaxy Note 8 or iPhone 14 is the publisher’s named phone reference. A different model that appears similar on paper is not thereby performance-certified.
  5. Separate compatibility from comfort. A device that matches only the minimum may run the game but can still stutter. If the game is already lagging, try NEXON’s Low graphics setting and its storage, load and connection checks.

NEXON’s available mobile specifications do not establish a guaranteed frame rate, a best chipset ranking, or a tablet model that will play at a particular speed. If a decision depends on those outcomes, the specifications alone cannot settle it.

Why do official iOS memory figures differ?

NEXON’s detailed support FAQ and its February 2025 recommended-specification notice give 6 GB as the iOS recommended memory target. The US App Store developer description, however, includes a recommendation-style sentence listing 3 GB. NEXON’s FAQ lists 4 GB as the iOS minimum. Those official materials do not agree, so do not silently treat 3 GB as the smooth-play target; for a cautious recommendation, follow the detailed FAQ’s 6 GB figure.

Storage figures also depend on what the publisher’s row is describing. The live FAQ’s 3 GB download-capacity minimum and its 15 GB minimum / 30 GB recommended required-storage figures are not the same measure. A February 2025 iOS notice lists 10 GB in a download-capacity row. Use the FAQ’s required-storage amounts when planning device space, rather than interpreting a download-capacity figure as all the free space the game needs.

These specifications apply to NEXON’s English/global mobile release and the US Apple listing discussed here. Do not substitute requirements for a different regional publisher or for the Windows/Steam version when checking a phone or tablet.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can my phone run Blue Archive?

Compare its OS, physical memory and available storage with NEXON’s minimums: Android 7, 4 GB RAM and at least 15 GB free storage, or iOS 15, 4 GB memory and at least 15 GB free storage. For a more cautious smooth-play target, use Android 9 or later or iOS 16, 6 GB memory and 30 GB available storage. Meeting a listed tier does not guarantee a particular frame rate.

How much RAM does Blue Archive need?

NEXON’s recommended mobile target is 6 GB of device memory on both Android and iOS. Its listed minimum is 4 GB on either platform. RAM is separate from storage space.

Does Blue Archive work without an internet connection?

No. NEXON’s troubleshooting information says an internet connection is required, so an offline mode should not be assumed.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Does meeting the minimum guarantee that my phone will stay supported?

No. NEXON has said minimum requirements are subject to change, so a device that meets today’s minimum could fall outside a later requirement. Check the current support information if compatibility is uncertain.

Does Blue Archive have an officially guaranteed 60 FPS phone list?

No game-specific FPS guarantee or certified chipset ranking is established in NEXON’s mobile specifications. The listed models identify specification references, not promised frame-rate results.

Is the iOS recommendation definitely 3 GB of memory?

NEXON’s US App Store developer description contains a 3 GB recommendation-style statement, but its detailed support FAQ and February 2025 recommendation notice specify 6 GB for the recommended iOS tier. For a smooth-play target, use the detailed support guidance rather than treating those sources as if they agree.

Will Blue Archive run on my iPad?

The US App Store lists the game for iPad and gives iPadOS 15 or later as an installation requirement. That establishes compatibility, not smooth performance on every iPad. NEXON does not name a recommended iPad model; check the tablet’s actual OS, memory and available space.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Is the 446.9 MB App Store size enough to plan storage?

No. That is the US App Store package size shown in 2026, not the complete storage requirement after game data is downloaded. NEXON’s support FAQ lists 15 GB at minimum and 30 GB at the recommended tier.

Why does Blue Archive lag even though it installs?

Installation does not guarantee comfortable gameplay. NEXON suggests setting Graphics Quality to Low for stuttering during skills, and checking free storage, processor load and the connection environment. These steps may help but are not a guarantee or a substitute for meeting the recommended specifications.

The Bottom Line

Bottom line: For NEXON’s global mobile Blue Archive, target 6 GB of device memory, Android 9 or later or iOS 16, and 30 GB available storage. The Galaxy Note 8 and iPhone 14 are publisher-named phone references, not guaranteed FPS picks. Minimum specs may be enough to install and run the game, but they are not a promise of smooth play; for tablets, verify compatibility and specs without assuming an officially certified model.
