To close a Bitget account, first settle every position, order, transaction, withdrawal, balance, debt and account restriction. On the website, use Profile > My Profile > Close Account. In the mobile app, open the menu, tap the profile bar and choose Delete Account. After you acknowledge the warnings and pass the requested security checks, Bitget says its review is completed within 24 hours. Deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed.
What to do before requesting deletion
Bitget’s deletion guides treat closure as a final settlement, not a way to leave open activity behind. Work through the following checks before opening the deletion screen:
- Close or liquidate every open position. A leveraged or spot position that remains open can prevent a clean closure and may be affected if Bitget terminates the account.
- Complete or cancel pending transactions and orders. Check spot, derivatives, conversion, P2P and any other product you use. Bitget’s Terms of Use say it may cancel or suspend pending transactions when an account is terminated.
- Withdraw all available balances. Move assets to an external wallet or another destination you control, using a supported network and a carefully verified address.
- Wait for withdrawals to finish. A withdrawal that is still processing is different from a balance that has already arrived. Do not submit deletion while any withdrawal remains pending.
- Empty the Bitget Web3 wallet. The mobile deletion flow specifically asks you to confirm that the Web3 wallet contains no assets. Assets left there cannot be recovered after deletion.
- Resolve debts, claims and restrictions. Clear amounts owed to Bitget and address any freeze, hold, limitation or reserve on the account.
Take your own records before closing: transaction IDs, tax-lot information, statements, trade exports and any support-ticket numbers you may need later. Deletion disables access, so information visible only inside the account may no longer be available to you.
When Bitget can block account closure
Bitget’s Terms of Use state that you may not be able to close an account when there is a pending transaction or outstanding claim, when you owe money, or when the account is subject to a freeze, hold, limitation or reserve. These conditions can apply even if the account’s displayed asset balance is zero.

The Terms also require payment of outstanding amounts owed to Bitget and authorize Bitget to deduct those amounts from the account. If you borrowed funds, used a product that accrues interest, or have another unsettled liability, resolve it before requesting deletion. A support agent may need to review a disputed claim or restriction before the closure option becomes available.
Website and mobile deletion paths
The navigation differs between the web interface and the app, but both flows end in an irreversible deletion request and security verification.

Labels can move after an app or website update. If you cannot find the option, use the account-closure category in Bitget’s Support Center rather than relying on an old screenshot.

How to delete a Bitget account on the website
- Sign in and open your profile menu. Use the account menu rather than starting from a trading screen.
- Select My Profile. Scroll through the profile settings until you reach the account-management area.
- Choose Close Account. If the option is unavailable, check for pending withdrawals, transactions, claims, debts or account restrictions.
- Read every warning and select the acknowledgments. The warnings cover permanent deletion and the loss of access to account-related data and services.
- Select Close Account again. Complete the password, two-factor or other security verification Bitget requests.
- Submit the request and keep the confirmation. Bitget says the review process is completed within 24 hours. That is a stated review period, not a promise that a pending withdrawal or dispute will settle within that time.
How to delete a Bitget account in the mobile app
- Open the Bitget app and tap the menu icon.
- Tap the profile bar. This opens the account settings area.
- Choose Delete Account.
- Confirm the prerequisites. The app asks you to confirm that positions are closed, balances have been withdrawn and the Web3 wallet is empty.
- Acknowledge the risk warning, tap Next and complete verification. Follow the exact password or security prompts shown on screen.
Do not treat the app’s Web3-wallet confirmation as a formality. The guide warns that assets remaining in that wallet cannot be recovered after deletion.
Withdrawals: where to send funds and what can go wrong
Bitget’s Terms permit transferring digital assets to an external wallet when your account has sufficient balance and the assets are not on hold. Select the asset and a network supported by both Bitget and the destination. Sending on an incompatible network or to an incorrect address can make funds unrecoverable; verify the address, memo or tag requirements and network before confirming.
Bitget’s deletion material does not promise that every asset or network will be available at every moment, and it does not publish one universal withdrawal-fee table in the account-deletion guidance. Network availability, minimums and fees can vary by asset, product and region. Check the withdrawal screen and the applicable product terms before sending, and leave enough balance to cover any displayed charge.

After submitting a withdrawal, monitor its status until it is completed. A transaction marked pending, under review or otherwise in progress should be resolved before account deletion. If the withdrawal is delayed, save its transaction ID and contact support while you still have account access.

Open positions
Close or liquidate every spot or derivatives position before requesting deletion. For leveraged products, verify that the position is actually closed and that no residual liability, margin requirement or settlement remains.
Open orders
Cancel unfilled orders and confirm that the order list no longer shows them as active. A cancellation request that is still processing counts as unfinished activity until the status changes.

Pending transfers and claims
Review deposits, withdrawals, internal transfers, P2P activity and disputes. Bitget’s Terms specifically identify pending transactions and outstanding claims as reasons closure may be unavailable. If another party has a claim against a transaction, deletion is not a shortcut around that review.

The cited Bitget deletion guides do not state a separate account-closure fee. That does not eliminate other charges. Bitget’s Terms incorporate applicable fee schedules and allow fees, commissions, interest and other charges under relevant products. Trading, withdrawal, borrowing and other product costs can therefore remain payable even when the deletion request itself has no separately listed price.

Before closing, review each product you used, settle any amount due and check the final balance after fees are applied. Bitget’s Terms say outstanding amounts owed must be paid and may be deducted from the account.

What deletion changes permanently
Deletion is not a temporary sign-out. Bitget describes it as permanent and irreversible. Once the request is completed:
- Login and trading functionality are disabled.
- API private keys are deactivated.
- Authorized devices are unlinked.
- Verified identity information is permanently deleted.
- Rewards and bonuses are not distributed.
- The account cannot be recovered.
Because access is disabled, export statements, trade history and other records you may need for accounting, tax reporting or a dispute before submitting the request.
Can you reopen the account or register again?
You cannot recover a deleted Bitget account. Bitget’s 2024 and 2025 deletion guides state that the same mobile number, email address or identity document cannot be used to register a new account for 30 days after deletion.
The mobile guide adds a further limitation: a bank-transfer account previously opened through Bitget may not be usable with a new account tied to the same identity card. A new registration is therefore not an immediate replacement for a deleted account, and it may not restore every linked service.
How long does deletion take?
Bitget states that its review process is completed within 24 hours after you submit the closure request. The period applies to the review, not necessarily to unresolved withdrawals, claims, holds or other financial activity. If the request remains pending beyond that window, keep the submission details and contact the Support Center.
What to do if a withdrawal is stuck or closure is unavailable
- Record the details. Save the asset, amount, network, destination, withdrawal ID or transaction hash, timestamp and the exact status message.
- Check whether the asset is on hold. A hold, limitation, reserve or compliance review can prevent transfer or closure.
- Do not submit duplicate withdrawals. Multiple attempts can complicate reconciliation; wait for the existing status or ask support how to proceed.
- Use the official Support Center. Select the route for account closure, crypto withdrawals, P2P disputes, ticket tracking or identity-verification resets, depending on the problem.
- Keep the ticket number. Reply in the same case with requested evidence rather than opening unrelated duplicate cases.
Bitget’s Support Center offers multilingual customer support. Support can investigate a stuck transaction or restriction, but the available material does not guarantee a particular resolution time or outcome.
