Short answer: The Bigme B13 Pro has a 13.3-inch, 4:3 Kaleido 3 color E Ink panel with a 3200 × 2400 matrix. Bigme rates it at 300 PPI for black-and-white content and 150 PPI for color, and advertises refresh of up to 60FPS. That 60FPS figure applies to the fastest partial-refresh modes, not to every image or the instantaneous response of a 60Hz LCD. Ghosting is reduced by automatic refresh management but is not eliminated, and published materials do not give an internal battery, battery capacity or hours-per-charge figure. The display’s headline resolution is 3200 × 2400 pixels in a 4:3, 13.3-inch format. That is a large, square-ish workspace suited to a document page, terminal window or portrait-oriented reading area. Why black-and-white and color have different PPI
Bigme lists 300 PPI for black-and-white and 150 PPI for color. Kaleido 3 produces color by placing a color-filter layer over a monochrome E Ink layer. The underlying black-and-white pixels can therefore render finer detail than the color-filtered image.
In practical terms, small black text can look considerably sharper than small colored text or thin colored lines. A PDF with black body copy and occasional colored highlights should remain comfortable, while a dense spreadsheet, miniature colored labels or fine UI icons may look softer. Do not describe the panel simply as “300 PPI color”; that would overstate the detail available in color mode.
How to choose text size
- Use black or dark text for the smallest type and code.
- Increase font size when syntax highlighting, colored annotations or other fine color details are important.
- Evaluate the applications you actually use: a document-review workflow can benefit from the large monochrome detail even when its color accents are less crisp.
Is the B13 Pro really 60Hz or 60FPS?
What Bigme actually promises
Bigme’s official specification states, “Refresh rate: 60FPS.” Its launch announcement says the high-speed refresh system is intended to make scrolling, document changes, window movement and app interaction smoother, and positions 60FPS as twice the prior B13’s advertised 30FPS.

Why 60FPS is not the same as a 60Hz LCD
On an LCD or OLED monitor, a 60Hz rating usually describes a regular display scan with response times fast enough for moving images. E Ink behaves differently: changing the capsule arrangement can take longer, and the controller may update only parts of the screen to gain speed. The B13 Pro’s 60FPS number describes the fastest refresh modes under the monitor’s processing strategy; it does not guarantee LCD-like pixel response, perfect frame delivery or smooth video in every mode.
The independent review associated with the product reports that partial and aggressive refresh modes are the ones used for speed. They can make scrolling and cursor movement feel more immediate, but they trade away some image cleanliness and can leave residual images. A full refresh redraws the display more completely and is cleaner, but slower.

How bad is ghosting on the Bigme B13 Pro?
Ghosting is managed, not eliminated
Bigme says the B13 Pro has automatic ghosting-removal optimization that adjusts refresh behavior as the image changes. That can reduce the need to trigger a full refresh manually, but it does not remove the physical trade-off between speed and a clean E Ink image.

The independent review reports that ghosting can accumulate in web, browse and video/speed modes. A full refresh is the cleanest option, while partial or aggressive modes are faster and more likely to leave traces of previous content. No percentage, response-time measurement or laboratory ghosting score has been published for this model, so claims such as “zero ghosting” or a precise reduction figure would be unsupported.

Ways to keep artifacts under control
- Start with the normal or quality-oriented refresh setting for reading and document work.
- Switch to a faster partial or aggressive mode when scrolling or moving windows is more important than a pristine image.
- After a long browsing session, rapidly changing page or video playback, trigger a full refresh if the previous image remains visible.
- Return to the cleaner mode for fine text, diagrams and screenshots where residual marks are distracting.
Ghosting is most noticeable when a high-contrast object moves over a light background, when a page contains large dark blocks, or when video changes continuously. It is less intrusive during mostly static text work.
Does the B13 Pro have a battery?
Published information does not establish an internal battery
The reviewed product materials do not identify an internal battery, battery capacity or hours-per-charge rating. Therefore there is no reliable “battery life” number to quote for the B13 Pro. Treat it as a USB-C-powered monitor rather than assuming it can operate independently like a tablet.

How much power does it use?
Bigme states 15 W consumption, down from 26 W for the previous B13. Bigme also says that a full-featured USB Type-C cable can carry video transmission and power in one connection. The actual power arrangement still depends on the host device and connection: some low-power laptop USB-C ports may not sustain what the monitor requires, in which case an external adapter or power bank is needed.
Portable power planning
If you use a power bank, compare its usable watt-hours and USB-C output with the monitor’s 15 W rating. A rough planning formula is usable watt-hours divided by 15 W, with additional allowance for conversion losses and the power used by the source device. This is an estimate for an external power source, not a claimed runtime for an internal B13 Pro battery.

- For HDMI, plan on a separate USB-C power connection because HDMI alone does not provide the monitor’s operating power.
- For phone or tablet use, check both display-output support and whether the mobile device can supply enough power; a powered hub or adapter may be necessary.
- Carry a suitable USB-C cable and power source when working away from mains power.
How to connect and use the B13 Pro
USB-C single-cable setup
- Connect a full-featured USB-C cable between a compatible computer or mobile device and the B13 Pro.
- Confirm that the host’s USB-C port supports video output as well as power delivery; a charge-only port will not carry a display signal.
- If the host cannot provide enough power, connect the monitor to a suitable USB-C adapter or power bank while maintaining the video connection.
- Select the B13 Pro as an extended or mirrored display in the host operating system.
- Choose a refresh mode based on the task: prioritize clarity for reading, and use a faster mode for scrolling or window movement.
HDMI setup

The official store price observed for the B13 Pro was $569 on sale against a $749 reference price. Those figures are time-sensitive and should not be treated as a permanent MSRP or guaranteed transaction price.

The display flickers, shuts down or will not start
- Use a USB-C power source that can sustain the stated 15 W requirement.
- Replace a charge-only or damaged USB-C cable with a full-featured cable when using USB-C video.

- If a laptop port is low-power, use an external adapter or power bank rather than repeatedly reconnecting the same port.
Text looks less sharp than expected
