For My Recycling Center 2 on Xbox, begin with the game’s default display and controller settings. The Xbox listing confirms Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S versions, Series optimization and Smart Delivery, while the developer says console physics and graphics were optimized for performance. No authoritative Xbox source publishes a resolution target, frame-rate target, HDR mode, named graphics presets or a button-by-button map, so the best setup is a default-first calibration rather than a promised 4K, 60-fps or performance-mode configuration.

The practical recommendation

Install the latest build, launch with every in-game option at its default, and play long enough to reach a busy recycling yard. If your installed version exposes a quality/performance selector, compare the choices in that demanding scene and keep the one that feels steadier and more comfortable. The public Xbox information does not identify the selector’s name or its resolution and frame-rate targets, so judge the result by consistency, image clarity and input comfort instead of by an assumed specification.

Use a controller layout that puts interaction, driving and camera actions within easy reach. Full controller support, including Xbox controllers, is confirmed, but the published material does not provide the individual button assignments. Camera sensitivity and vibration are comfort controls: lower either when movement feels tiring or distracting, and raise them only as far as you can use accurately.

What the Xbox versions actually guarantee

Published fact What it means for your setup
Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S versions are listed. The guide applies to both console generations, but the correct performance expectation can differ by hardware.
The title is marked Optimized for Xbox Series X|S. Series consoles receive a version identified as optimized for that generation; the badge does not specify a resolution, frame rate or graphics mode.
Smart Delivery is listed. When supported by the platform, your console can receive the appropriate Xbox version without you manually choosing a separate generation SKU.
Full controller support and Xbox-controller compatibility are published. A standard Xbox controller is an appropriate input device. The sources do not publish a complete control map.
The developer says console physics and graphics were optimized for performance, with faster save/load logic and improved controller controls and UI. The statement describes development priorities, not a measured Xbox frame-rate result.

These facts support a sensible baseline, but they do not establish that either Series console runs at 4K, 60 frames per second, HDR, or a particular performance preset. Treat any such value shown by a later patch note or by your installed menu as version-specific evidence rather than as a universal promise.

Set up the console and display before changing the game

1. Verify the installed version

  1. Highlight My Recycling Center 2 in My games & apps and open its Manage game and add-ons screen.
  2. Install any available update, then relaunch the game. A patch can add, remove or rename graphics and control options.
  3. On a Series console, confirm that the game’s listing still identifies it as Optimized for Xbox Series X|S. This confirms the intended build, not a numerical performance target.

2. Check the Xbox display handshake

On the current Xbox dashboard, open Profile & system > Settings > General > TV & display options. Set the console to a mode your television or monitor accepts reliably. Use the console’s 4K TV details and refresh-rate checks to find a stable signal, but do not infer that the game renders internally at the selected output resolution. If changing the dashboard output introduces black screens, sparkles or repeated signal drops, return to the last stable mode before troubleshooting the game.

3. Decide whether to use HDR

No researched Xbox source documents an HDR mode for this title. If HDR is enabled at the console and the game appears washed out, excessively dark or clipped, compare the same scene with HDR disabled at the system level. Keep the setting that preserves readable shadows, bright sky detail and comfortable menus on your particular display; this is a display-calibration choice, not evidence that the game has a dedicated HDR implementation.

Configure the in-game options in a controlled order

Changing one variable at a time makes it possible to tell whether a setting helped. Record the original value or take a phone photo of each menu before experimenting.

  • BUILT-IN AUDIO SUPPORT — Plug in compatible headsets using the 3.5mm audio jack for direct voice chat and immersive in-game sound.
  1. Open the game’s Settings or Options menu from the title screen or pause screen.
  2. Apply the default display, camera and controller values first. Restart the game if a change requests it.
  3. Look for a graphics, display or performance page. If no such page exists, do not assume that the console is missing a hidden mode; the published Xbox material does not promise one.
  4. If a quality/performance choice is present, test each choice in the same busy-yard route. Use identical driving turns, camera movement and sorting actions so the comparison is fair.
  5. Adjust camera sensitivity in small increments. Stop when you can turn quickly enough to drive and inspect objects without overshooting.
  6. Adjust vibration to your preference. Strong vibration can make long sorting sessions tiring; disabling it is a comfort decision and does not increase the game’s frame rate.
  7. Choose the control layout that makes the primary interaction, driving and camera actions easiest to reach. Because no official button map is published, rely on the labels and diagrams shown by your installed build.
  8. Save the settings, return to the yard and repeat the same route. Keep the change only if it improves steadiness, clarity or control comfort without creating a new problem.

How to judge smoothness without inventing a frame-rate target

Use a repeatable busy-yard test

Quiet areas can hide performance problems. Drive through the most populated part of the yard, look across the largest collection of objects, then rotate the camera while walking and sorting. Watch for uneven pacing, delayed camera response, objects appearing late or a sudden drop in control precision. Repeat the route after every graphics-mode change. You are measuring consistency by observation; the available Xbox documentation does not provide a certified number to compare against.

Choose steadiness over a sharper still image

If one exposed mode looks sharper while another keeps camera motion and driving more even, the steadier mode is usually the better setting for active play. Conversely, if both feel equally responsive, choose the clearer image. Do not label either choice “60 fps” or “4K” unless a future developer or platform note explicitly supplies that target for your version.

Separate game performance from display latency

A television’s picture processing can make controls feel slow even when the game is rendering consistently. Enable your display’s game-oriented low-latency mode if it has one, and avoid adding motion interpolation or heavy noise reduction. Test with the same HDMI input and display preset before blaming a game setting. These television options change perceived response; they do not change the game’s internal frame rate.

Controller settings that remain comfortable for long sessions

Layout and reach

Start with the layout shown by the game. Interaction, driving and camera functions are the actions you perform repeatedly, so select the arrangement that keeps those commands reachable without releasing the stick you use to steer or look. If the Xbox Accessories app or your console’s controller settings offer remapping, treat remapping as an accessibility aid and write down the final arrangement so another player can restore it.

Camera sensitivity

Use a low-to-medium value as a starting point only if the installed build exposes a slider; no game-specific recommended number is published. In a test loop, make a quarter-turn with the camera, then try to center your view on a bin or vehicle. Lower sensitivity when you pass the target repeatedly, and raise it when turning across the yard requires several uncomfortable stick movements.

Vibration

Keep vibration on when tactile feedback helps you notice driving events, or reduce it when repeated rumbles distract you from sorting. Switching it off is safe for performance and can reduce hand fatigue. It will not unlock a graphics mode or improve a measured frame rate.

Two-controller and replacement-pad considerations

Because Xbox-controller support is explicitly listed, a compatible second or replacement Xbox controller is a reasonable optional accessory for local hand-offs or a worn pad. It is not a performance upgrade, and no controller model is required by the game’s published requirements.

Xbox One, Series S and Series X: what to expect

Xbox One

Use the default-first process and concentrate on stable camera movement and responsive driving. The listing confirms the platform, but it does not publish an Xbox One resolution, frame-rate target, HDR behavior or installation size. Avoid importing PC hardware figures as if they were console requirements.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Xbox Series S

The Series optimization badge confirms a Series-optimized version, not a guaranteed performance mode. If your build offers multiple choices, perform the busy-yard comparison at the display output you normally use. Keep the option that avoids the most noticeable pacing changes during camera rotation and vehicle movement.

Xbox Series X

Series X also receives the optimized listing, but no authoritative source supplies a separate Series X resolution or frame-rate measurement. Do not assume that a higher-capability console automatically enables a named quality or performance preset. Let the installed menu and your repeatable test determine the choice.

Troubleshoot common problems

The image is soft or unstable

  • Return the game’s graphics options to their defaults.
  • Check the Xbox TV & display options and use a signal mode your screen reports as supported.
  • Try a different HDMI input or cable if the dashboard itself also flickers or loses signal.
  • Disable display processing such as motion interpolation, then retest the same yard route.

Controls feel delayed

  • Enable the television’s low-latency or game picture mode.
  • Reduce camera sensitivity if the delay is actually overshoot, then repeat the controlled turn test.
  • Temporarily disable vibration to distinguish tactile distraction from genuine input delay.
  • Test another supported Xbox controller if available to rule out a worn stick, wireless interference or a low battery.

Performance changes after an update

Record the game version shown on the console, reset custom settings to defaults and repeat the busy-yard route. A patch can alter menu names or behavior. If a new graphics selector or frame-rate statement appears in an official developer or Microsoft listing, use that version-specific information rather than an older setting guide.

Loading or saving appears stuck

The developer specifically describes extremely fast save and load logic as part of the console work. If your console remains stuck on a load screen, first wait without repeatedly force-closing the game, then restart the title normally. Check for a pending game update and sufficient free console storage. If the problem persists across restarts, capture the version number and the exact step that fails before seeking platform support; do not delete local saves unless you understand the cloud-save consequences.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The game crashes or returns to the dashboard

  • Install pending Xbox and game updates.
  • Fully quit the title, restart the console, and launch it again.
  • Return custom display and controller settings to defaults.
  • If only one save causes the crash, avoid overwriting it and preserve the file while contacting support.

Do not apply the Windows PC requirements to Xbox

The Steam listing gives minimum specifications for Windows PC, not for either Xbox console. They are useful only when deciding whether a separate PC can run the game.

Windows PC minimum listed by Steam How to interpret it for Xbox
16 GB RAM Xbox memory is a fixed console platform design; this figure is not an Xbox upgrade or tuning requirement.
NVIDIA GTX 970 or AMD RX 580-class graphics card with 4 GB VRAM These are PC GPU classes and VRAM requirements. They cannot be translated into a Series X, Series S or Xbox One frame-rate promise.
18 GB available storage for Windows PC The Xbox listing does not publish an installation-size figure, so do not use 18 GB as a console capacity claim.

A decision checklist for your final settings

  • The game and console are fully updated.
  • The Xbox display output is a stable mode supported by your screen.
  • In-game graphics remain at defaults unless an exposed selector was tested in a busy yard.
  • You chose the tested option with the steadier response or clearer image, based on your preference.
  • Camera sensitivity lets you turn and center the view without overshooting.
  • Vibration and layout are comfortable for the length of your sessions.
  • You have not treated the Series optimization badge as proof of 4K, 60 fps or HDR.
  • You have kept Windows PC requirements separate from Xbox expectations.

When to recheck these recommendations

Revisit the settings after an Xbox patch, a developer post that publishes graphics modes or frame-rate targets, a change to Microsoft Store metadata, or any change to controller support. Those updates could turn today’s “if exposed” instructions into documented, version-specific steps. Until then, default-first calibration and repeatable busy-yard testing are the most defensible way to obtain a comfortable result on Xbox.
