For most all-white builds, the shortlist is four-way: choose the ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5080 White OC for a premium showcase system, the Gigabyte AORUS RTX 5080 MASTER ICE 16G for the highest listed factory clock, the MSI RTX 5080 Gaming Trio OC White for a conventional white triple-fan design, or the ZOTAC RTX 5080 SOLID OC White Edition when case length is the limiting factor. Every choice still requires an 850W-class power supply, a native 16-pin/12V-2×6 cable, and a case that can accommodate a very thick card.
There is no common independent benchmark, noise test, or thermal measurement for these exact white cards in the available manufacturer material. Factory clock therefore should be treated as a secondary differentiator, not proof that one model is universally faster or quieter. Measure your case, compare the live price and regional warranty, then select the card whose dimensions, support hardware and appearance fit your build.
Quick answer: which white RTX 5080 should you buy?
- Premium visual flagship: ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5080 White OC, if your chassis has room for a 359 mm long, 76 mm thick card and you accept premium pricing.
- Highest listed factory clock: Gigabyte AORUS RTX 5080 MASTER ICE 16G at 2,805 MHz, provided a 360 mm card fits with your front fans or radiator installed.
- Balanced white triple-fan option: MSI RTX 5080 Gaming Trio OC White. Compare its current street price with the standard Gaming Trio White before deciding.
- Best for a shorter case: ZOTAC RTX 5080 SOLID OC White Edition at 329.7 mm, while reserving 3.5 expansion slots and room for its support hardware.
- Non-OC alternative: ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5080 White uses the same RTX 5080 platform without the OC designation; its captured manufacturer-store price was $2,099.99, but that figure is volatile.
What all of these cards have in common
These products are partner implementations of the GeForce RTX 5080 GPU. Manufacturer specifications for the ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte and ZOTAC cards identify 16 GB of GDDR7 memory, 10,752 CUDA cores, a 256-bit memory bus and 30 Gbps memory speed. Those shared platform figures matter more to game and creative-application compatibility than small differences in factory boost settings.
ZOTAC describes its card as “Powered by the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture and DLSS 4.” DLSS features and game support depend on the application and its settings, so regard that statement as an architectural capability rather than a guaranteed frame-rate result in every title.

The cards are physically large because an RTX 5080-class GPU needs substantial heatsink and airflow capacity. Length is only one clearance measurement: height can interfere with a side panel or cable bend, while thickness can block neighboring expansion slots. A front-mounted radiator or fan bank effectively reduces the GPU length available inside a case.
White RTX 5080 comparison
Dimensions below are manufacturer figures in the order length × height × thickness where provided. “Not stated” means the cited specification page did not provide a comparable figure; it is not permission to assume the card has the same dimensions as another model.
| Model | Factory clock information | Published dimensions and slot information | Cooling or support detail | Power guidance | Price and warranty information |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5080 White OC | 2,790 MHz OC mode; 2,760 MHz default | 359 × 150 × 76 mm; thickness is approximately four slots by measurement, so verify the case manual | White card holder listed by ASUS | Use the 850W guidance for this RTX 5080 class and verify the exact manual and connector requirement | Live price not established; regional warranty terms not stated in the captured specification |
| ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5080 White | Non-OC Astral variant; clock not stated in the captured specification | Not stated in the captured specification | White Astral design; holder information should be confirmed for the exact SKU | Follow ASUS’s current 850W and connector guidance for the SKU | $2,099.99 on the ASUS specification-page store listing captured during research; price can change. | ZOTAC RTX 5080 SOLID OC White Edition | 2,640 MHz engine clock | 329.7 × 137.8 × 67.8 mm; 3.5 slots | Bundled support stand | 360W board-power figure; 850W PSU recommendation | Current price, inventory and regional warranty not stated |
The 2,805 MHz AORUS figure is the highest listed clock in this group, while the ZOTAC is the shortest. Those facts do not establish a universal performance or acoustic winner: boost behavior, power limits, firmware, ambient temperature and the rest of the test system all affect results.
Model-by-model buying guidance
ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5080 White OC
The White OC Astral is aimed at a showcase build with generous internal space. Its 359 × 150 × 76 mm footprint is the second-longest listed here and the thickest published measurement, making it a poor match for compact or tightly packed cases. Measure from the rear expansion bracket to the closest obstruction, not just the case’s advertised maximum GPU length. A front radiator, pump housing or thick fan can consume several millimetres of that allowance.
ASUS lists both a 2,760 MHz default clock and a 2,790 MHz OC clock. Use the default figure when comparing out-of-box settings and regard the OC mode as a small factory tuning difference rather than a guarantee of higher real-world frame rates. ASUS also lists a white graphics-card holder, useful because a long, heavy card can sag over time. Check that the holder’s foot can sit on your case floor or power-supply shroud.

ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5080 White
This is the non-OC white Astral option for buyers who want the same product family without paying specifically for an overclocked SKU. The captured ASUS store specification showed a price of $2,099.99. That is a point-in-time listing, not a permanent MSRP or a promise of availability; recheck the live regional store or retailer before ordering.
The supplied specification does not give a comparable dimension or clock for this exact non-OC listing. Do not assume it will fit identically to the White OC card until ASUS’s current product page or the retailer’s SKU-specific data confirms length, height and thickness. Treat the 850W recommendation and 16-pin/12V-2×6 requirement as planning assumptions only after checking the exact manual.
MSI RTX 5080 Gaming Trio OC White
The Gaming Trio OC White is the straightforward choice when you want a white triple-fan card rather than a highly styled flagship. MSI lists 2,715 MHz in MSI Center’s extreme-performance mode. That setting may require MSI Center software or a selectable profile; the figure should not be read as the card’s guaranteed clock in every workload.
MSI’s captured material does not provide dimensions for this white OC SKU. Confirm all three clearances with the exact retailer listing: maximum GPU length with front cooling installed, card height to the side panel, and occupied slots. Also check whether your motherboard’s lower PCIe slots remain usable after the card is installed.
MSI RTX 5080 Gaming Trio White
The standard Gaming Trio White lists a 2,625 MHz extreme-performance clock in MSI Center. It can be a value-oriented alternative if its live price is meaningfully below the OC model. Because the captured material does not establish dimensions or a benchmark gap, make the decision on price, appearance, warranty and confirmed fit rather than assuming a large performance difference.

The AORUS MASTER ICE has the highest listed factory clock in this comparison at 2,805 MHz. Its 360 × 150 × 75 mm dimensions make it the longest card listed, so it needs a full-size chassis and careful front-of-case planning. Leave additional space for the power cable’s bend radius; a card that technically fits at the bracket can still press the connector against a side panel.
Gigabyte recommends an 850W power supply. The clock advantage is a specification-sheet distinction, not a tested ranking. Choose this model when the case can accept its length and you value its white AORUS appearance, not solely because 2,805 MHz is the largest number in the table.
ZOTAC RTX 5080 SOLID OC White Edition
At 329.7 mm, the SOLID OC White is the shortest card with a published length in this set. That makes it the practical starting point for a case with a tight front-to-back limit. It is still 137.8 mm tall, 67.8 mm thick and rated at 3.5 slots, so it is not a small-form-factor card. Reserve clearance below the primary PCIe slot and check whether a capture card, sound card or other expansion device will be blocked.
ZOTAC lists a 2,640 MHz engine clock, a 360W power figure and an 850W PSU recommendation. The bundled support stand can reduce sag, but it needs a stable contact point in your chassis. Include its footprint in your build plan, especially if the case has a bottom-mounted radiator or limited floor space.

How to check whether a white RTX 5080 fits
- Find the exact SKU dimensions. Use the manufacturer page and the retailer listing for the complete model number. Record length, height and thickness separately; do not rely on a single “GPU clearance” number.
- Measure installed obstructions. With front fans, radiator, brackets and drive cages installed, measure from the rear expansion-slot area to the nearest obstruction. A case’s headline GPU limit often assumes an empty front section.
- Check side-panel and cable space. Measure from the motherboard’s PCIe slot plane to the side panel. Add room for the 16-pin/12V-2×6 plug and a gentle cable bend; do not force a sharp bend at the connector.
- Count occupied slots. A 3.5-slot card can cover the next three slots and part of a fourth. Check motherboard slot spacing and whether your chosen vertical mount leaves adequate airflow.
- Plan support. Use the supplied holder or a compatible support bracket under the far end of the card. Ensure the support does not touch fan blades and does not obstruct bottom intake fans.
- Verify orientation and visibility. In a vertical mount, check riser length, bracket compatibility and side-panel clearance. In a horizontal mount, confirm that the white shroud and backplate face the window you actually want to display.
Power supply and 16-pin connector planning
Manufacturer guidance for the RTX 5080 cards in this shortlist is 850W. That is a system-level recommendation, not the card’s measured consumption. A high-core-count processor, several drives, pump hardware or manual overclocking can increase the headroom your system needs, so use the PSU maker’s calculator and transient specifications as a second check.
Plan for one 16-pin GPU input, commonly identified as 12V-2×6 on newer power supplies. A native cable from an ATX 3.x supply is preferable to improvised combinations. Route the cable so the plug is fully inserted and the cable does not pull sideways on the socket. Before powering on, inspect that no part of the connector is exposed and that the cable is not sharply folded immediately at the plug.
- Confirm the PSU can continuously meet the 850W recommendation for your complete system.
- Use the PSU’s native 12V-2×6 cable when the manual specifies it; do not substitute a cable from another PSU brand or model.
- Keep the cable clear of the card’s fans and avoid trapping it between the side panel and connector.
- If the PSU is older and lacks the appropriate native output, replace it rather than relying on an adapter without checking its rating and installation instructions.
Cooling, airflow and support in an all-white case
A white finish does not change the heat produced by the GPU, but it makes dust and cable clutter more visible. Provide a direct intake path at the front or bottom of the case and an unobstructed exhaust path at the rear or top. Do not press the card’s fans against a vertical side panel or a radiator shroud.
Large cards benefit from a rigid support point. The ASUS White OC lists a graphics-card holder, and the ZOTAC SOLID OC White includes a support stand. For the Gigabyte and MSI cards, confirm package contents before assuming a bracket is included; a separately purchased support bracket is inexpensive compared with repairing a sagging slot or damaged connector.

When using a vertical GPU mount, compare the riser’s airflow effect with a horizontal installation. A white card can look better vertically while receiving less cool air if it sits close to tempered glass. Prioritize the clearance and airflow specified by the case and card manuals over the display angle.

Clock speed, warranty and price: how to make the final choice
Factory clocks in this group range from the MSI Gaming Trio White’s 2,625 MHz extreme-performance setting to the Gigabyte AORUS MASTER ICE’s 2,805 MHz core clock. The ASUS Astral White OC lists 2,760 MHz default and 2,790 MHz OC, MSI’s OC White lists 2,715 MHz in MSI Center, and ZOTAC lists 2,640 MHz. These values come from different vendor modes and terminology, so they are not a substitute for a controlled benchmark.
Manufacturer pages are not reliable indicators of local stock or street price. Check the live listing immediately before purchase, including shipping, taxes, return period and the exact white SKU. The only captured price in this comparison is $2,099.99 for the ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5080 White store specification; it may no longer be current.
Warranty coverage was not stated in the supplied specification pages for these models. Read the warranty for your country, identify whether registration is required, and confirm whether the retailer or manufacturer handles returns during the initial fault period. Do not assume that two cards from the same family have identical regional terms.

Installation checklist
- Update the motherboard firmware and install the current graphics driver before replacing an existing card, if your current system remains operational.
- Switch off the PSU, unplug the AC cable and discharge the system according to the case and motherboard instructions.
- Remove the required rear slot covers and, if needed, front drive cages or radiator brackets that conflict with the measured GPU envelope.
- Insert the card squarely into the primary PCIe slot until the retention latch engages. Secure every occupied bracket position with the case screws.
- Install the included holder or support bracket under the card’s reinforced area without touching the fans.
- Connect the native 16-pin/12V-2×6 cable completely. Keep the cable bend away from the connector housing and side panel.
- Check that all fans can spin freely, front and bottom intakes are not blocked, and the white finish is oriented as intended.
- Reconnect the AC cable, start the system and verify that the card is detected at the expected PCIe link width and that its fans, lighting and performance profile can be configured in the vendor software.
Bottom line
Buy the ASUS Astral White OC for a spacious premium showcase, the AORUS MASTER ICE when its 360 mm body fits and the listed clock matters to you, the MSI Gaming Trio OC White for a balanced triple-fan shortlist, or the ZOTAC SOLID OC White when every millimetre of length matters. In every case, fit measurements, an 850W-capable power system, correct 12V-2×6 installation and verified local warranty are more important than a small factory-clock difference.
