You do not need a Firefox add-on to capture a long web page on Windows. Press Ctrl+Shift+S, choose Save full page, then save the screenshot or copy it. Firefox Developer Tools offer a second built-in route when you need options such as a delay, filename, or device-pixel ratio.
Capture a full page with Firefox Screenshots
Firefox’s built-in Screenshots tool can capture the entire page, the visible area, a selected region, or a page element. Mozilla documents this workflow for Firefox on Windows 10 and Windows 11. Mozilla’s Firefox Screenshots guide describes the options and save workflow.
- Open the page you want to capture.
- Press Ctrl+Shift+S. Alternatively, right-click an empty part of the page and select Take Screenshot. You can also add the Screenshots button to the toolbar.
- Select Save full page to capture the whole page. Choose the visible-area, region, or highlighted-element option if you need a smaller capture.
- Select Download to save the image in Firefox’s default download folder, or choose the copy option to place it on the clipboard.
For a region capture, drag to select the area. You can move the crosshair with the arrow keys; Mozilla notes that this keyboard behavior does not work on Wayland, a caveat that does not apply to the Windows workflow described here.
Use Developer Tools for command-level control
Firefox Developer Tools can capture the full page or a single element. The screenshot toolbar button is not enabled by default. To turn it on, open Developer Tools, select its settings, and under Available Toolbox Buttons enable Take a screenshot of the entire page. Use the newly available button to capture; the file is saved to Downloads.

For more control, open the Web Console and use its :screenshot helper. Mozilla documents options for full-page capture, selecting an element, delaying the capture, setting device-pixel ratio, choosing a file or filename, and copying to the clipboard. Check the filename before repeating a command: reusing an existing filename can overwrite the earlier capture.

Privacy note
Mozilla says Screenshots telemetry includes interaction events, such as using Copy or Save full page, but states: “We never collect data such as the URL or details of the image captured.” Read the Mozilla support article for its explanation.

Are third-party Firefox add-ons necessary?
No add-on is needed for the basic task: Firefox already offers full-page capture and the Developer Tools methods above. The current availability, permissions, maintenance, and compatibility of individual third-party extensions are not established here, so there is no sound basis to recommend or rank a specific add-on.
