These are use-case matches, not independently tested rankings; plan limits and prices can change, so verify them with each vendor before switching.
How to choose a Typeform alternative
“Typeform alternative” can mean a free way to collect responses, a conversational form, a branded landing-page experience, a research survey, or a form that feeds a business workflow. Decide which job matters most before comparing tools.
- Volume and limits: Check caps on forms, responses or submissions, questions, file uploads, and monthly usage. A free plan that fits a small test may not fit ongoing collection.
- Data capture and logic: Confirm support for conditional branching, calculations, file uploads, and payment collection if your form needs them.
- Presentation: Compare one-question-at-a-time presentation with page-style forms, templates, branding controls, and custom domains.
- What happens after submission: Look for analytics, exports, integrations, document generation, approvals, or task creation that match your workflow.
- Total cost: Compare the plan that includes your required response volume, users, and features—not just an advertised entry price. Regional availability and billing cadence can affect the amount.
- Migration effort: Check whether the new service imports Typeform forms. Even if a structure imports, you may need to rebuild logic, integrations, and workflows, and move response data separately.

Which alternative fits your use case?
Tally: start here if free response volume is the main concern
Tally’s comparison positions its free offering as having unlimited forms and responses, with conditional logic, Stripe payments, and calculated fields included. That makes it a candidate when a response cap is your primary concern. Because this claim comes from a vendor that sells Tally, check the current plan terms and feature availability directly before committing. See Tally’s comparison page.
Google Forms: choose simplicity over advanced form behavior
The comparison describes Google Forms as free with a Google account and suitable for straightforward collection, while characterizing its logic as basic and noting the absence of payment processing and advanced logic. It is a sensible shortlist option if a simple form is enough and your work already sits in Google’s ecosystem; it is a weaker match if the form needs complex branching or payments.
Jotform: prioritize a large template library
Jotform’s distinguishing point in the comparison is its selection of more than 10,000 industry-specific templates. That can make it worth evaluating when a ready-made starting point matters more than building a minimal form from scratch. Check its current free-plan caps and paid plan for the number of forms and submissions you expect.
Paperform: consider it for a designed, page-like experience
Paperform is presented as a design-oriented choice, with landing-page-style forms and CSS control. Evaluate it if presentation and brand control are central to the form’s job, and compare the required paid plan against your budget; the comparison says it has no free plan.
SurveyMonkey: evaluate it for survey research
SurveyMonkey is positioned around research-oriented analytics, including cross-tabulation and benchmarking. It is a better candidate when analyzing survey results matters more than general-purpose form building. The comparison’s response-limit details conflict with one another, so confirm the current plan’s question and response limits directly.
Formstack: shortlist it for workflow and enterprise needs
Formstack is described as an enterprise-oriented option with document generation, compliance features, and approval workflows. If those capabilities are requirements, verify that the relevant plan supports your organization’s specific process and compliance needs; the comparison does not establish certification or suitability for any particular regulated use.

- Take control over the sound playing through audio hardware
ClickUp Forms: connect intake to project tasks
ClickUp Forms may fit a team that wants a submission to create a task rather than sit in a separate form inbox. Check whether the resulting task workflow, form availability, and plan limits match how your team manages incoming work.
Wufoo: keep the requirements basic
Wufoo is presented as a simple option. Its comparison-listed free allowance is five forms and 100 entries, so check those limits against your expected use before choosing it for continuing collection.

Quick Recap
Best Value
How to make the switch without losing important work
- Inventory the existing form. Record its questions, branching rules, calculations, uploads, payment steps, branding, and connected services. Note which responses or workflows must remain available.
- Check import support before rebuilding. Ask the destination vendor whether it can import your Typeform structure and which elements transfer. Do not assume that form questions, logic, response history, or integrations all move together.
- Map limits to your actual workload. Estimate expected responses, forms, users, and file needs, then check the destination plan for each relevant cap.
- Recreate and test the form. Test each branch, required field, calculation, upload, payment flow, and downstream integration with sample submissions.
- Plan the cutover. Decide how to handle responses submitted during the transition and retain access to historical data you need. Keep the old form available until the replacement has been checked in its real workflow.
