Samsung’s official Book Cover is the only protective case in the available evidence confirmed specifically for the Galaxy Tab S12+. It is a magnetic folio with portrait and landscape stand positions, but it has no keyboard or built-in S Pen holder. Because compatibility with other cases has not been established, this guide does not invent a ten-case ranking.
Which protective case is confirmed to fit the Galaxy Tab S12+?
Samsung says its Book Cover for Galaxy Tab S12+ is compatible only with the Galaxy Tab S12+. That explicit fit matters: do not assume a cover made for the Galaxy Tab S10+, S11+, or another tablet will fit based on a similar screen size or appearance.
The tablet is identified by Samsung as the Galaxy Tab S12+ with a 12.6-inch display; Samsung’s UK specification page also says an S Pen is included. Check the full model name on a case listing before buying.
Samsung Book Cover: features and trade-offs
The Book Cover (model EF-BX840PBEGWW) attaches magnetically and folds into portrait or landscape viewing positions. Samsung lists its dimensions as 190.7 x 291.1 x 10.8 mm and its weight as 338 g. Those are Samsung’s product specifications; “slim” and “lightweight” are the manufacturer’s descriptions, not independent comparisons.

- No keyboard or pen storage: It is a folio case, not a keyboard cover, and it has no built-in S Pen slot or compartment.
Samsung’s product page does not provide a drop-test result or protection certification. Do not treat the camera rim or scratch-protection description as evidence that the case is rugged or proven to protect against drops.
Is the Book Cover the right choice for you?
Choose it if you want a folio and two stand orientations
It is the confirmed option if you want a screen-covering folio, magnetic attachment, and the ability to prop the Tab S12+ in either portrait or landscape. Its listed weight and thickness can help you judge whether its added bulk suits your use.

Look elsewhere if you need a keyboard or S Pen holder
The Book Cover provides neither. Samsung lists the Pro Keyboard and Book Cover Keyboard Slim as separate compatible accessories, but those are keyboard accessories rather than additional protective cases. Samsung also lists an Anti-Reflecting Screen Protector separately; it is not a case. Accessories are sold separately, according to Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S12+ accessories listing.

A useful protective-case list needs products explicitly confirmed for the exact tablet. The available product evidence substantiates one: Samsung’s Book Cover. It does not verify nine other Galaxy Tab S12+ cases, so including cases for older models or inferring fit from dimensions would risk recommending something incompatible.

When comparing other listings, look for an explicit Galaxy Tab S12+ compatibility statement. Then check which edges and corners are covered, whether the front closes over the display, stand orientation and stability, S Pen access or storage, weight and bulk, keyboard inclusion, and camera, button, and port access. Treat drop-protection claims cautiously unless the maker publishes a test result or standard behind them.
