There is no clear all-round winner among the phones currently highlighted under ₹15,000 in India: comparison sites favor different models, and their rankings reflect different tests and editorial priorities. For a practical shortlist, consider the iQOO Z10x for its large battery and stated update policy, the Tecno Pova 7 5G as 91mobiles’ overall pick, the Lava Virat V1 5G for performance, or the Ai+ Nova 2 5G for battery capacity. Prices and availability are snapshots as of 4 October 2026, not guaranteed checkout prices.
Quick comparison: which phone suits which priority?
| Phone | Best fit | Evidence and trade-offs | Price snapshot |
|---|---|---|---|
| iQOO Z10x | Large battery and a defined update promise | iQOO lists a Dimensity 7300 chipset and 6,500mAh typical battery, and promises two Android upgrades plus three years of security updates. Gadgets 360 reports below-best daylight camera results, unusable low-light results and occasional stutters. | ₹13,267, listed by Gadgets 360 on 4 October 2026; verify the exact variant and live seller price. |
| Tecno Pova 7 5G | Shortlist for an all-rounder | 91mobiles names it its overall best under ₹15,000 in its 4 October 2026 list and publishes category ratings for camera, performance, gaming and software. Those are that publisher’s assessments; verify the phone’s variant, current price and maker’s support policy. | Not stated in the cited 91mobiles summary. |
| Lava Virat V1 5G | Performance-oriented everyday use | 91mobiles’ September 2026 guide names it its performance pick and reports an AnTuTu score of 515,146 for the Unisoc T8200 configuration. The same guide lists a 6,000mAh battery, 10W charging and a basic 13MP rear camera. A benchmark score does not establish sustained gaming performance. | ₹13,499, reported by 91mobiles as of 14 September 2026. |
| Ai+ Nova 2 5G | Battery capacity on a budget | 91mobiles’ September 2026 guide names it its battery pick and lists a 6,000mAh battery with 18W charging. Its support table lists one year of OS updates and two years of security updates. | ₹13,999, reported by 91mobiles as of 14 September 2026. |
The prices above are publisher-reported snapshots, not guaranteed offers. The lists also have different update schedules and candidate sets, so their “best” labels are not a single standardized verdict. Which phone is best for everyday usage under ₹15,000?
For a balanced shortlist, start with the Tecno Pova 7 5G because 91mobiles names it its overall pick in its 4 October 2026 list. That is a publisher’s judgment, not a guarantee it will suit every buyer or a conclusion shared by every comparison site. If battery capacity and a stated software-support period matter more to you, the iQOO Z10x has clearer documented specifications and support terms; weigh those against the camera and stutter concerns reported by Gadgets 360.
Which phone is best for gaming under ₹15,000?
The available evidence does not establish a definitive gaming winner. 91mobiles names the Lava Virat V1 5G its performance pick and reports 515,146 on AnTuTu for the Unisoc T8200 configuration. AnTuTu combines CPU, GPU, memory and overall user-experience assessments; the score is a single review-source result, not a direct prediction of frame-rate stability, heat or performance over a long gaming session. Compare reviews that test the games you play and sustained workloads before choosing.

How to compare camera quality
Look for sample-based results in daylight, low light, portrait mode and video rather than treating megapixel count as a quality score. For the iQOO Z10x, the manufacturer lists a 50MP main camera and a 2MP bokeh camera, while Gadgets 360 reports below-best daylight results and unusable low-light performance. The camera hardware figures alone do not overturn those review findings. Source: Gadgets 360 and iQOO India’s Z10x specifications.
How to compare battery life and charging
Battery capacity, charging speed and real-world endurance are separate considerations. The Z10x’s 6,500mAh figure is its typical capacity, not a guaranteed number of hours. Gadgets 360 observed up to two days specifically with light usage; heavier gaming, mobile data, brightness and other settings can change endurance. The manufacturer’s duration and cycle-life figures are based on stated internal laboratory conditions, not a promise that every owner will see the same result. Among the other shortlisted models, 91mobiles lists 6,000mAh for both the Lava Virat V1 5G and Ai+ Nova 2 5G, with 10W and 18W charging respectively.

What software updates are promised?
Count Android-version upgrades separately from security-patch support. iQOO’s India product information says the Z10x will receive two Android upgrades and three years of security updates. Check that the policy applies to the exact model and region you are buying; iQOO also maintains a system update support page. For the Ai+ Nova 2 5G, 91mobiles’ September guide lists one OS-update year and two security-update years. Its HMD Vibe 2 entry lists two years of security updates and no official OS-upgrade promise; verify any current manufacturer policy for your region before relying on it.

Check the exact price and variant before buying
- Confirm the RAM and storage configuration: a higher-memory variant may exceed the ₹15,000 limit.
- Check the final price with the seller on the day you buy; list prices can change outside promotions.
- Verify the manufacturer’s update terms for the specific model and region, rather than assuming every variant or market has identical support.
- For gaming or camera decisions, consult reviews with tests that match your use instead of relying on a category label or hardware specification alone.
