That makes it a useful place to discover visual directions or individual pieces, but the presence of a pixel-art theme does not establish that it is designed for drawing sessions or commission queues. The gallery also links to Fiverr for custom design; check the designer’s portfolio and terms before commissioning.
Streamlabs: search and install overlays
Streamlabs documents search and filters for keywords, colors, types, widgets, and styles in its overlay guide. Its instructions cover installation in Streamlabs Desktop, importing an .overlay file, and adding overlays to OBS Studio with or without its plugin. Some designer overlays may include matching items such as an Alert Box or Chat Box, according to Streamlabs; inspect the contents and preview the result on your art scene before using them.

A custom overlay may suit you if a ready-made pack cannot accommodate your camera position, canvas shape, queue label, or commission status. Choose formats and check the scene
For transparent overlay assets, format matters. Elgato’s OBS overlay guide specifies PNG for static transparency and WEBM for animated transparency. Use the format that matches the asset and confirm that transparency renders correctly in your scene; a file that appears transparent in one preview may not behave as expected after import.
Elgato lists 16:9, 4:3, 9:16, and 1:1 as common webcam-overlay ratios. These are starting points for webcam graphics, not a requirement to frame an art canvas in the same shape. Social bars and other secondary graphics should stay clear of the primary content. Preview the overlay with your drawing visible, at the output dimensions you intend to stream, and check it in each scene where you plan to reuse it.

Studio Queues recommends matching browser-source dimensions to the intended output and checking transparency and scene behavior. Its pixel-width suggestion is specific to that guide, not a universal standard: size the source for your own layout and verify that it does not obscure the art.
A practical selection and setup checklist
- Write down the on-screen essentials. Decide whether viewers need a nameplate, alert, queue position, commission status, or another specific detail.
- Choose an unobtrusive position. Reserve a margin or corner that stays clear of the drawing, hand, cursor, and important interface controls.
- Find a suitable starting point. Browse StreamElements for themes or separate widgets, search Streamlabs’ library with relevant terms and filters, or consider a custom design if your layout has particular needs.
- Check contents and terms. Confirm the exact components, file format, editing options, current price, and usage rights for the asset you plan to use.
- Install it in your streaming software. Follow the provider’s instructions for Streamlabs Desktop or OBS Studio, including any required import or plugin steps.
- Preview the real scene. Show the artwork, camera if used, and relevant software interface. Check readability at the intended output size, verify transparency, and remove or reposition anything that competes with the canvas.
- Check every scene and state. Confirm the overlay behaves as expected wherever you reuse it, including when alerts appear or queue information changes.
Common overlay problems and fixes
- The overlay covers part of the drawing: Move it into a clear margin or corner, reduce its size, or remove nonessential elements. Recheck against the live canvas capture rather than a blank scene.
- Text is difficult to read at stream size: Preview at the intended output dimensions and simplify or enlarge only the necessary label. Avoid solving readability by placing a large panel over the artwork.
- A transparent asset has a visible background: Confirm that the asset actually supports transparency and use the appropriate format—PNG for static transparency or WEBM for animated transparency, as Elgato specifies. Then check how it renders after import.
- An animated overlay loses transparency or fails to play as expected: Check that the file is an animation format intended to preserve transparency, such as WEBM, and verify its behavior in the target scene.
- An imported overlay does not appear in OBS: Recheck the provider’s installation steps, including whether the workflow requires importing an
.overlayfile or using Streamlabs’ plugin. Confirm that the source is present and visible in the correct scene. - A browser-source queue or widget is clipped or misaligned: Match its dimensions to the intended output and check the source’s transparency and behavior in the scene. Adjust to your layout rather than relying on a single suggested width.
- A downloaded pack is not a good fit for drawing: Treat general streamer popularity or a gaming-oriented preview as no guarantee that it will suit art. Keep only the components that help viewers understand the session, and test them over your actual canvas.
