Short answer: choose the REDMAGIC 10 Air if you want a gaming-first phone at a comparatively accessible price, the REDMAGIC 11 Pro if long sessions and competitive controls matter most, or the realme GT 7 Pro if you want high performance in a more conventional phone design. None can yet be named a definitive photography winner because comparable, independent camera tests are not established in the available evidence. OnePlus has not officially confirmed the Ace 7 specifications, so treat every reported Ace 7 price, processor and camera claim as provisional.
What is actually confirmed about the OnePlus Ace 7?
OnePlus has not published an official Ace 7 product specification in the evidence available for this comparison. That makes precise claims about its chipset, camera system, battery, charging speed or price expectations rather than facts. A sensible comparison therefore uses the officially documented OnePlus Ace as a family benchmark, while treating the Ace 7 itself as unconfirmed.
OnePlus’s 2022 specification page lists the OnePlus Ace with a MediaTek Dimensity 8100-MAX platform, 120Hz display modes, 150W wired charging, 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5 memory, up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage and an approximately 4,500mAh dual-cell battery. Its rear cameras are a 50MP Sony IMX766 main sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro camera; the main camera records up to 4K at 30fps.
Those figures establish the kind of package an Ace-series buyer may be comparing against: fast charging, a high-refresh display and a capable stabilised main camera. They do not prove that the Ace 7 has the same hardware or that any alternative produces better photographs. Use them as context, not as an Ace 7 specification sheet.

Best alternatives at a glance
| Phone | Best fit | Confirmed or reported hardware in the cited coverage | Price information | Main qualification |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| REDMAGIC 10 Air | Gaming-first buyers who want a large screen and big battery | 6.8-inch display, Snapdragon 8-series processor and 6,000mAh battery | Starting at $549/£439 for the reviewed configuration | Price is time- and region-sensitive; camera and sustained-performance testing are not established here |
| REDMAGIC 11 Pro | Long sessions, competitive play and built-in controls | Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, 12/16/24GB RAM, 256GB/512GB/1TB storage, 7,500mAh battery, shoulder buttons, game-mode slider and liquid cooling | Not stated in the cited coverage | Local availability and independent testing need checking |
| realme GT 7 Pro | High performance without an overt gaming-phone design | Presented as a cooling-focused phone with a conventional form factor | Not stated in the cited coverage | Complete camera comparison is not established |
The table deliberately separates stated facts from unknowns. A larger battery or an advertised cooling system can make a phone attractive for gaming, but frame-rate stability, surface temperature, charging behaviour during play and software support still depend on implementation and testing.
REDMAGIC 10 Air: the clearest gaming-first alternative
Why it stands out
GeekChamp’s comparison identifies the REDMAGIC 10 Air as the clearest currently sourced alternative for buyers seeking a gaming-focused phone near the expected Ace 7 price. The cited configuration combines a 6.8-inch display, a Snapdragon 8-series processor and a 6,000mAh battery. That combination prioritises screen area and endurance over compactness.
A 6.8-inch panel gives virtual controls and game interfaces more room, while a 6,000mAh cell provides more stated capacity than the approximately 4,500mAh dual-cell benchmark published for the OnePlus Ace. Capacity alone does not predict battery life: display brightness, modem use, game settings, thermal limits and background software all affect runtime. Nevertheless, the 10 Air is the straightforward choice when your first questions are “How large is the screen?” and “How much battery does the gaming model carry?”

The cited review lists a starting price of $549/£439 for its reviewed configuration. Treat that as a dated, region-specific reference rather than a permanent global price. Check the manufacturer or authorised retailer in your country for taxes, storage variant, warranty coverage, shipping and current stock before buying.
The available evidence does not provide a comparable camera test for the 10 Air. Do not assume that a Snapdragon platform or a gaming design makes it a better photographic phone than the Ace family benchmark. If you take many photographs, inspect local reviews for the main sensor, OIS, ultrawide quality, night scenes, portraits, video stabilisation and update policy before committing.

Who should buy it?

- Buyers whose target price is close to the cited $549/£439 starting point in their market.
- People comfortable giving gaming features priority over a proven camera comparison.

REDMAGIC 11 Pro: strongest case for sustained and competitive gaming
Hardware aimed at long sessions
MobilesTalk describes the REDMAGIC 11 Pro with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, 12GB, 16GB or 24GB memory options, 256GB, 512GB or 1TB storage, a 7,500mAh battery, shoulder buttons, a game-mode slider and liquid cooling. Of the phones covered here, that is the most explicit gaming feature set.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteThe shoulder buttons can move recurring actions such as aiming, firing or jumping away from touchscreen controls. A dedicated game-mode slider can make performance settings easier to reach than a sequence of software menus. Liquid cooling is intended to remove heat from the processor, but the existence of a cooling system is not proof of a particular frame rate or temperature. Look for independent tests that report sustained performance over a long session rather than a short benchmark run.
Memory and storage choices
The 12GB, 16GB and 24GB RAM options, together with 256GB, 512GB and 1TB storage choices, let you match the phone to your game library and multitasking habits. More RAM does not automatically improve a game’s frame rate; it can help with keeping apps resident and may make a high-end configuration more comfortable over time. Storage matters when several large games, recorded clips and offline media are installed. Select a capacity you can afford without paying for unused headroom.
Trade-offs
The cited description does not establish a price, camera ranking, regional warranty terms or test results. A specialist gaming phone may also be less suitable if you want a discreet design for work or a camera system with well-documented processing. Confirm local band support, charger contents, repair arrangements and return rights before importing one.

realme GT 7 Pro: conventional performance without a gaming-phone look
The realme GT 7 Pro is presented in the performance-focused coverage as a cooling-oriented phone with a more conventional design. That makes it the alternative to investigate when you want strong performance but do not want the visual language or physical controls associated with a dedicated gaming model.
Its conventional form factor can be easier to live with for photography, messaging and workplace use, yet the available evidence does not establish a complete camera comparison. Treat “cooling-focused” as a design emphasis, not as a guarantee of better sustained frame rates than either REDMAGIC model. Independent testing should answer whether performance remains stable after extended play, how warm the chassis becomes, and whether charging while gaming affects throttling.
The cited coverage also does not state a price, memory configuration, battery capacity, charging rate or camera specifications for this comparison. Obtain the exact regional model number before comparing it with the Ace benchmark or REDMAGIC phones; similarly named variants can differ by market.
Which alternative is best for gaming?
For the best balance of price context and gaming hardware: REDMAGIC 10 Air
The 10 Air is the most defensible recommendation when you want a gaming-first device and need a published price reference. Its 6.8-inch display, Snapdragon 8-series platform and 6,000mAh battery directly address screen space, processing and endurance. The $549/£439 figure is only a starting point for the reviewed configuration and may not match your country.
For competitive controls and maximum endurance on paper: REDMAGIC 11 Pro
The 11 Pro is the stronger candidate if shoulder buttons, a game-mode slider, liquid cooling and a stated 7,500mAh battery matter more than a conventional appearance. Its Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and up-to-24GB memory options target the highest performance tier described in the cited material. Verify availability and testing locally before paying a premium.

For a phone that also looks ordinary: realme GT 7 Pro
The GT 7 Pro is the sensible starting point for someone who wants performance and cooling in a mainstream-looking handset. Because the available evidence does not supply complete specifications or comparative tests, it is a form-factor recommendation rather than a proven winner in gaming or photography.
Is REDMAGIC better than OnePlus for gaming?
REDMAGIC has the clearer gaming-specialist proposition in this comparison. The 11 Pro explicitly lists shoulder buttons, a game-mode slider and liquid cooling, while the 10 Air is described around a large display, Snapdragon 8-series processor and 6,000mAh battery. The confirmed OnePlus Ace benchmark instead emphasises 120Hz display modes, 150W charging, LPDDR5 memory, UFS 3.1 storage and a stabilised 50MP main camera.
That is not a universal verdict. The Ace 7 itself is unconfirmed, and the evidence does not provide controlled tests of thermal throttling, touch latency, sustained frame rates, camera output or software updates for these alternatives. REDMAGIC is the more purpose-built choice when physical controls and cooling are your priorities; OnePlus may be preferable if the eventual Ace 7 combines gaming performance with stronger everyday camera processing, a broader service network or faster charging. Those possible Ace 7 advantages cannot be treated as established until OnePlus publishes them and independent reviews test them.
Which phone should you buy for gaming performance and a good camera?
There is no evidence-supported photography winner among the three alternatives in the available data. The correct approach is to choose the gaming requirements first, then verify camera performance in local reviews rather than infer it from megapixels or processor branding.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Camera checks that matter
- Main sensor and processing: compare sensor size, lens aperture where reported, highlight control, skin tones and detail in daylight.
- Optical stabilisation: confirm whether the main camera has OIS and inspect handheld night photographs and walking video.
- Ultrawide quality: check corner sharpness, colour matching with the main camera and low-light noise; an ultrawide’s megapixel count alone is not enough.
- Telephoto coverage: determine whether a real telephoto camera exists or whether zoom is digital cropping.
- Portrait rendering: look for hair-edge errors, glasses, fine texture and natural falloff rather than a heavily blurred cut-out.
- Video: compare stabilisation, autofocus, exposure changes, microphone quality and the maximum useful resolution and frame rate.
- Updates and support: verify the promised software-support period, security-patch cadence and the warranty channel for your region.
The OnePlus Ace benchmark gives you a concrete reference point: a 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide, a 2MP macro and up to 4K/30fps from the main camera. It does not establish equivalent hardware in the Ace 7 or any REDMAGIC or realme model discussed here.

How to compare the phones before ordering
- Set your market first. Search the manufacturer store and authorised retailers for your country. Record the exact model, memory/storage tier, tax-inclusive price, charger specification, return period and warranty provider.
- Define your gaming workload. Separate short casual sessions from several-hour competitive play. Note the games you play, target frame rate, graphics preset, controller use and whether you play while charging.
- Check sustained tests. Prefer reviews that run a demanding game or benchmark repeatedly and report frame-rate stability, throttling, surface temperature and battery drain. A single peak benchmark score is not a cooling assessment.
- Inspect control compatibility. For the REDMAGIC 11 Pro, decide whether shoulder buttons map correctly in your games and whether the game-mode slider exposes the settings you actually need. For other phones, check support for your preferred USB-C or Bluetooth controller.
- Compare display behaviour. Confirm the available refresh-rate modes, touch-response claims and brightness measurements for the exact regional model. Do not assume that a high refresh rate is active in every game.
- Audit the camera samples. Use full-resolution daylight, night, portrait, ultrawide and stabilised-video samples from the same reviewer when possible. Look for consistency, not one spectacular image.
- Calculate ownership risk. Include accessories, replacement availability, software updates, repair shipping and the cost of importing a device. A lower sticker price can disappear once taxes and weak local warranty support are included.
Battery, charging and cooling: what the numbers mean
The confirmed OnePlus Ace benchmark lists an approximately 4,500mAh dual-cell battery and 150W wired charging. The REDMAGIC 10 Air is described with a 6,000mAh battery, and the REDMAGIC 11 Pro with a 7,500mAh battery. These capacities suggest different endurance targets, but they are not laboratory runtime results and should not be converted into a guaranteed number of gaming hours.
Charging speed is also a system-level issue. A high-wattage charger can shorten top-up time under compatible conditions, while heat, cable rating, charger availability and charging limits during gameplay affect the real experience. The cited material does not state charging figures for the REDMAGIC 10 Air, REDMAGIC 11 Pro or realme GT 7 Pro, so do not fill those gaps with assumptions.
Cooling matters most after the first few minutes of play. Ask whether a review measures performance over 20 to 30 minutes or longer, whether the test uses a case, and whether the phone is charging. Liquid cooling in the 11 Pro and the cooling emphasis of the GT 7 Pro are promising design signals, not substitutes for repeatable measurements.
Software, warranty and regional availability
Specialist gaming hardware is useful only when the phone can be supported where you live. Before purchase, verify cellular-band compatibility, Google services or other required software, language options, update delivery, bootloader policy, repair locations and the process for obtaining replacement parts. These checks are particularly important for imported REDMAGIC models because the cited coverage explicitly makes local availability a qualification for the 11 Pro.
For every candidate, save the product page and order confirmation showing the exact storage tier and warranty terms. Retail listings can mix regional variants, and a returned or repaired device may not retain the same charger or accessories. Buy from an authorised channel when after-sales support is more important than the lowest advertised price.
Practical accessories for long sessions
A USB-C phone cooler can help a device maintain performance during extended play, but select a model demonstrably compatible with the phone’s port location, case and cooling surface. A mobile gaming controller is another sensible option for phones without shoulder buttons. Neither accessory turns an untested phone into a proven thermal or camera winner, and both add cost, weight and setup time.
Our buying recommendation
Buy the REDMAGIC 10 Air when your priority is a gaming-first phone with a large 6.8-inch display, a stated 6,000mAh battery and a clear, though region-sensitive, $549/£439 starting-price reference. Choose the REDMAGIC 11 Pro when competitive controls, the largest stated battery, liquid cooling and high memory/storage options justify checking availability and independent testing. Choose the realme GT 7 Pro when you want a more conventional-looking performance phone and are prepared to validate its exact regional camera, battery and support details yourself.
