Why changing the fit can matter as much as changing ANC
The Major V’s on-ear format rests its cushions on the ears. If that pressure becomes uncomfortable over long sessions, a model with over-ear cups may be a better direction—not a guaranteed fix. Ear-cup space, head shape and clamp pressure all affect how headphones feel. Published reviews in this comparison do not establish a controlled comfort ranking across different head and ear shapes.
The WH-CH720N is the clearest value-led over-ear alternative in the cited coverage: What Hi-Fi? reports that it is surprisingly comfortable and reliably reduces commute noise. If you prefer an on-ear Marshall, the Milton ANC preserves that basic format while adding adaptive ANC, but its favorable comfort description remains a reviewer’s subjective assessment.
