The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 is one option in a changing midrange market—not a fixed-value benchmark. Compare it with the AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT and Intel Arc B580 using current local prices, the games and resolution you care about, and the exact memory version. The RTX 5060 has 8 GB of VRAM; the RX 9060 XT comes in 8 GB and 16 GB versions; and the Arc B580 has 12 GB. No single card is the best choice at every price or for every game.
Graphics cards to compare with the RTX 5060
| Card | Memory | Launch price context | What to weigh |
|---|---|---|---|
| NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 | 8 GB GDDR7 | NVIDIA announced a $299 starting price in May 2025; this is launch pricing, not a current street-price guarantee. How the RTX 5060 compares in reviews
Review results depend on the games, settings, resolution and test setup. Treat benchmark percentages as evidence about that review’s test suite, not as a guaranteed difference in every game.
RTX 5060 versus Arc B580
TechSpot’s 2025 test aggregate put the RTX 5060 6% ahead of the Arc B580 at 1440p. Tom’s Hardware’s 2026 hierarchy showed a larger RTX 5060 lead: 24% at 1080p and 17% at 1440p. Those figures come from different suites and dates, so they should not be averaged into a single definitive result. GamersNexus also found the comparison varied by game; in its 1440p Dying Light 2 result, the B580 beat the RTX 5060 in average frame rate and lows. RTX 5060 versus RTX 4060 and RTX 5060 Ti
In TechSpot’s 2025 suite, the RTX 5060 led the RTX 4060 by 27% in the 1440p aggregate, but the 1080p uplift varied by game—from 8% in Star Wars Outlaws to 45% in God of War Ragnarök. GamersNexus reported that its RTX 5060 was generally 15–25% behind the RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB across the resolutions it tested. Neither result guarantees the same gap in a different game or test setup. GamersNexus said it paid $330 for one sample bought from Newegg and $360 for another bought in Taiwan; those are its sample purchase prices, not market averages.

Is 8 GB enough for 1440p?
It depends on the game and settings. TechSpot reported some 1440p cases where 8 GB cards showed problems ranging from reduced performance to missing textures. That finding does not mean every 8 GB card fails at 1440p, but it makes VRAM a relevant part of the comparison if you play demanding games at that resolution. The 16 GB RX 9060 XT and 12 GB Arc B580 offer more capacity on paper than the RTX 5060’s 8 GB; capacity by itself does not determine frame rate or value.
How to choose among these cards
- Check the exact model and price in your market. Compare real listings rather than assuming a launch MSRP is still available. NVIDIA announced the RTX 5060 at $299 in May 2025; Tom’s Hardware listed 2025 launch MSRPs of $249 for the Arc B580, $299 for the RX 9060 XT 8 GB, and $349 for the RX 9060 XT 16 GB.
- Match the card to your games and resolution. Look for benchmarks of the games you actually play at 1080p or 1440p. Results can vary materially between titles, even within one review suite.
- Check VRAM on the listing. Distinguish the RX 9060 XT 8 GB from the 16 GB model, and confirm that an RTX 5060 Ti listing is the 16 GB version if that capacity is part of your reason to upgrade.
- Decide whether ray tracing and upscaling features matter to you. NVIDIA promotes DLSS and ray tracing for the RTX 50 family; treat feature support separately from measured performance in independent reviews. NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 50 Series page
- Recheck the price gap before buying. If a higher-memory 16 GB card is close to the RTX 5060 in your local listings, it changes the comparison. If the RTX 5060 is substantially cheaper, that can change the value judgment in the other direction.
What dated prices can—and cannot—tell you
Launch prices provide historical context, not a current buying recommendation. In its October 2026 price-watch snapshot, PC Gamer showed specific US listings of $515.34 for an RTX 5060 and $499.99 for an RX 9060 XT 16 GB. These are individual listings from that dated snapshot, not market averages or guaranteed prices. Prices and availability change, and US listings should not be mixed with listings from another region. PC Gamer’s graphics card price tracker

For a useful value comparison, check the price and stock you can actually get, then compare the exact card variants using benchmarks for your games and resolution. Do not name a winner based only on launch MSRP or one game result.
