Use an Xbox-compatible controller and start with the game’s default or recommended graphics preset. Set the game to your monitor’s native resolution, then reduce the most demanding effects one at a time only if frame pacing is inconsistent. That is the most defensible setup for Vasya Run because the developer explicitly recommends a controller, while no official source currently publishes tested presets, a target frame rate, a named GPU, or a complete list of keyboard and graphics options.
Vasya Run is listed on Steam as coming soon. The main listing says the game has full controller support and that “The developers recommend playing this game with a controller.” A separate Windows demo has different metadata: SteamDB records partial controller support for that build. Treat the demo and the eventual release as potentially different input and performance targets.
What the published PC information actually tells you
The available Steam information is enough to choose a sensible starting setup, but not enough to declare a universal “ultra” preset or a tested 60-FPS configuration. The published facts are:
| Item | Published information | What it means for your setup |
|---|---|---|
| Release status | The Steam listing says the game is not yet available and is marked “Coming soon.” | Settings, menus and performance may change before the full release. |
| Controller support in the main listing | Full controller support is listed; Xbox controllers are named, and the developer recommends a controller. | Begin with an Xbox-compatible gamepad rather than assuming keyboard and mouse is the primary layout. |
| Controller support in the demo record | SteamDB records partial controller support for the separate Windows demo. | A controller may work differently in the demo than in the release build. |
| Memory requirement | 8 GB RAM minimum and 16 GB RAM recommended. | 8 GB is the stated floor; 16 GB gives the operating system and background applications more headroom. |
| Processor field | The listing only says “CORE.” | No specific CPU model can be recommended from the published requirement. |
| Graphics field | The listing only says “RTX.” | No exact GPU, VRAM capacity, resolution, preset or ray-tracing requirement is established. |
| Performance target | No official target FPS or frame-time result is published. | Choose a cap based on your display and observed frame pacing, not an invented benchmark. |
| Demo depot size | SteamDB records approximately 11.37 GiB installed and 10.47 GiB downloaded for the demo depot. | Allow more free disk space than the download size for installation and updates. |
Those gaps matter. A label such as “RTX” does not identify a particular graphics card, and the 8 GB/16 GB figures describe system memory rather than graphics memory. Do not treat them as proof that every RTX card, or any particular resolution and frame rate, will perform identically.

The best first-time setup
1. Connect an Xbox-compatible controller
Connect the controller before launching the game, then confirm that Windows and Steam see it. A wired connection is useful for initial diagnosis because it removes wireless pairing and battery variables. A wireless Xbox-compatible controller is convenient once the input is working reliably.
In Steam, open the game’s controller properties and verify that the device is detected. If the game offers an in-game controller indicator, use that screen rather than assuming that a button prompt confirms every input. The full-release listing’s recommendation is the strongest available guidance on intended play, but the demo’s partial-support record means you should test the exact build you are using.
2. Start with the default or recommended preset
If the released build exposes a graphics preset, select its default or recommended option first. Record the initial values or take a screenshot. This gives you a known baseline and makes it possible to undo an adjustment that makes the image or frame pacing worse.
3. Select the monitor’s native resolution
Use the display’s native resolution before changing quality settings. Native resolution avoids an unnecessary scaling step and makes it easier to judge whether a later reduction in resolution actually improves consistency. If the game starts in a window, use its display mode options to choose the mode that behaves most reliably on your system; do not assume that borderless, windowed and exclusive fullscreen will perform identically.

4. Test one change at a time
Use the same scene, route or repeatable section for each comparison. Change one setting by one step, play the same section again, and note whether camera movement feels smoother and whether image quality remains acceptable. Changing several options together hides which adjustment helped.
5. Cap frames only when the game provides the control
If Vasya Run exposes a frame-rate limit, choose a value appropriate to your monitor and to the frame pacing you can actually sustain. A cap that the system can hold consistently generally feels better than an uncapped rate that repeatedly swings between fast and slow frames. Because no official target FPS is published, this is a stability choice, not a claim that the game requires a particular number.
Graphics settings: a safe tuning order
The exact names and availability of these options are not published. Use the following order only for controls that appear in your build.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →- Preset and resolution: establish the default preset at native resolution.
- Shadows and lighting: lower these first if frame pacing worsens in areas with many lights, moving objects or long visible distances. Keep a higher value when the scene remains stable and the extra definition is important to you.
- Reflections, ambient effects and volumetric effects: reduce these next if they are present. They can be expensive in scenes with water, fog, smoke or many reflective surfaces.
- View distance and geometry detail: lower one step if distant objects or large outdoor views cause dips. Check for distracting pop-in before keeping the change.
- Post-processing, effects and anti-aliasing: adjust these after the larger lighting and distance costs. Compare moving edges and fine detail, not only a still screenshot.
- Textures: lower texture quality only when available memory is a problem or when you see hitching associated with texture streaming. Texture quality often changes clarity more than instantaneous rendering speed.
- Upscaling or dynamic resolution: use these only if the game exposes them and you understand the mode’s resolution range. No official upscaling technology or dynamic-resolution target is documented for Vasya Run, so do not assume that a particular option exists.
This sequence is general PC-game guidance, not a measurement performed on Vasya Run hardware. If lowering a setting does not change the behavior in your repeatable test, restore it and try the next relevant control instead of degrading the whole image.

Choosing between image quality and frame-time stability
| Your priority | Starting choice | Adjustment rule |
|---|---|---|
| Cleanest image | Native resolution and the default or recommended preset. | Keep resolution and reduce expensive effects one step at a time if movement becomes uneven. |
| Most consistent motion | Default preset, then a conservative frame cap if one is available. | Lower shadows, lighting, reflections or volumetric effects before reducing resolution. |
| Limited hardware headroom | Native resolution with lower effect quality. | Test each reduction in the same scene; stop when frame pacing is acceptable. |
| Portable or thermally constrained PC | Use the lowest stable power and cooling mode your system supports, then tune in-game settings. | Watch for heat-related clock changes; a setting that works for a short test may not remain stable in a long session. |
Do not use a single overlay reading as a substitute for a repeatable comparison. Record whether the problem is a sustained low frame rate, brief stutter, delayed texture loading, or controller response. Each symptom points to a different adjustment.
Controller settings that are worth checking
Layout and button prompts
Confirm that the game shows the prompts matching your controller. If prompts are wrong or inputs are duplicated, disable any extra remapping layer temporarily and retest with the controller recognized directly by Steam and the game. The demo’s partial-support status means that a missing prompt or incomplete button action may be a build limitation rather than a defective controller.
Stick sensitivity and camera speed
If the build exposes sensitivity or camera-speed sliders, begin at their defaults. Increase sensitivity in small increments when turning feels too slow; reduce it when small thumb movements produce excessive camera motion. Change one slider at a time so you can tell whether the issue is horizontal movement, vertical movement or camera acceleration.
Dead zones
Use the smallest dead zone that prevents drift. A dead zone that is too large makes the character or camera feel unresponsive around the center; one that is too small allows worn sticks to move without input. Test by leaving the stick untouched for several seconds, then moving it slowly through the center.

- Mechanical Circular D-pad: Designed for quick reactions and accuracy in every direction, this D-pad elevates your gaming experience with superior responsiveness.
Vibration
Toggle vibration according to preference and battery life. If vibration cuts out or causes disconnects on a wireless device, test the same session over USB before changing graphics settings; the two problems are unrelated.
Keyboard and mouse: what can and cannot be assumed
The canonical listing names Xbox controllers and recommends a controller, but it does not publish a complete keyboard-and-mouse layout. Do not promise specific key bindings or mouse features until they are visible in the game’s controls menu, manual or an official update.
You can still test keyboard and mouse methodically:
Free tools Windows power users keep installed
One-click scans. No signup required.
- Open the controls screen and confirm which actions are listed.
- Check whether each movement, camera and action command accepts a keyboard or mouse assignment.
- Look for separate mouse sensitivity, raw-input, acceleration or invert options; leave unavailable options at their defaults.
- Test the complete layout in a safe area before relying on it in a difficult section.
- If an action is unassignable or prompts remain controller-only, switch back to the recommended controller for that build.
Keyboard-and-mouse support may improve in a later update, but the current published material does not establish parity with controller support.

Hardware, memory and storage planning
System memory
Steam lists 8 GB of RAM as the minimum and 16 GB as recommended for Windows. The minimum is not a promise of a particular resolution or frame rate; it is the lower published memory requirement. On an 8 GB machine, close browsers, launchers and recording tools before testing. On a 16 GB machine, leave enough free memory for Windows and background services rather than treating all 16 GB as available to the game.
Processor and graphics card
The processor field is shown only as “CORE,” and the graphics field only as “RTX.” No model numbers, VRAM amount, architecture, target resolution or performance result are supplied. Consequently, there is no evidence-based answer to “What exact GPU do I need?” beyond checking whether your system meets the listing and testing the build you intend to play.
Do not infer that an “RTX” label means ray tracing is required or that every card carrying that branding will deliver the same result. Ray tracing, upscaling and VRAM guidance should be treated as unknown until the developer publishes those details or the game exposes and documents them.

Disk space
SteamDB records the separate demo depot at approximately 10.47 GiB downloaded and 11.37 GiB installed, with the public-branch build updated on 17 October 2026. Keep additional free space for temporary installation files, shader caches and updates. Those figures describe the recorded demo depot, not a guaranteed full-release installation size.
Demo versus full release
Use the build identity when diagnosing a problem. The main Steam page describes the coming-soon game as having full controller support, while SteamDB’s separate Windows demo record lists partial controller support and a Steam release date of 31 October 2026. That difference can explain why a controller works in one build but lacks prompts or actions in another.
- For the demo, test every required action rather than assuming “partial support” means the entire game is playable with a gamepad.
- For the full release, recheck the controls menu after updates because support status and default bindings can change.
- Do not transfer a graphics profile blindly between builds; a demo may use different content, shaders or default settings.
Troubleshooting by symptom
| Symptom | Checks in order |
|---|---|
| Controller is not detected | Reconnect it, verify Steam sees it, launch with the controller connected, then test a wired connection. Confirm whether you are using the demo or another build. |
| Controller works but some actions do not | Check the in-game layout and compare the behavior with the build’s support status. Partial demo support may leave actions unavailable. |
| Motion feels uneven | Repeat the same scene, apply a frame cap if exposed, then lower shadows, lighting, reflections or volumetric effects one step at a time. |
| Image is blurry after tuning | Restore native resolution, then review anti-aliasing or upscaling options. Do not assume an undocumented upscaler is active. |
| Short pauses or hitching | Close background applications, check available system memory, allow shader or texture work to finish, and compare a second run through the same scene. |
| Settings do not persist | Apply changes, exit through the game’s normal menu, relaunch and verify. If only one build loses settings, record that build before reporting the issue. |
A repeatable five-minute tuning procedure
- Write down your display resolution, refresh rate, RAM amount and whether you are testing the demo or the coming-soon release build.
- Connect the Xbox-compatible controller recommended by the listing and confirm every essential action.
- Select the default or recommended preset and native resolution.
- Play one repeatable section for several minutes without changing anything. Note sustained slowdown, brief hitching, visual artifacts and input feel separately.
- Change one graphics option, replay the same section, and keep the change only if it improves the symptom without an unacceptable image-quality loss.
This procedure produces a useful personal profile without pretending that it is an official benchmark. Keep a written record so an update can be compared with the previous build.
Settings checklist
- Controller connected before launch.
- Xbox-compatible layout and prompts verified.
- Demo or full-release build identified.
- Default or recommended preset recorded.
- Native display resolution selected.
- One graphics change tested at a time.
- Frame cap used only if the game exposes one and your system can sustain it.
- Background applications closed on an 8 GB system.
- At least the demo’s recorded installation space, plus update headroom, available on disk.
- No unsupported GPU, FPS or ray-tracing claim used to justify a setting.
The practical answer is therefore straightforward: begin with the recommended controller, use the default graphics configuration at native resolution, and tune for consistent frame pacing through controlled, one-setting-at-a-time tests. More specific “best” values should wait for official model requirements, documented graphics options or reproducible measurements from the release build.
