You can capture a full webpage without paying for an app: use Full Page in the iPhone screenshot preview, or try Capture more after a screenshot on Android 12 or later. The right option depends on your phone, the page, and whether you want an image or a PDF.
Capture a full webpage on iPhone
Safari is Apple’s clearest documented use case for capturing content beyond the screen. Take a screenshot, then select Full Page in its preview. Apple’s iPhone guide, accessed October 3, 2026, describes this as a way to capture an entire webpage and save the result to Photos or as a PDF. Apple’s iPhone screenshot instructions do not promise that the control appears in every app or embedded browser.
- Open the webpage in Safari and let it load.
- Take a screenshot. On an iPhone with Face ID, quickly press and release the Side button and Volume Up together. On an iPhone with a Home button, press the Side button and Home button together.
- Tap the screenshot preview if it appears, then choose Full Page.
- Inspect the capture using the preview on the right; Apple also describes cropping the full-page capture.
- Save to Photos, or choose the PDF saving option to save it to Files.
The initial button combination captures the visible screen. The full-page option is a separate action in the preview.
Save a full-page webpage as a PDF in Firefox for iPhone
If you use Firefox on iOS and want a document rather than an image, Mozilla documents a full-page screenshot workflow that saves as PDF. Its support article was created January 5, 2023, so labels may change if the app is updated. See Mozilla’s Firefox for iOS instructions.

- Open the website in Firefox and take a screenshot with the iPhone buttons.
- Tap the screenshot thumbnail, then choose Full Page.
- Tap Done and select Save as PDF.
This documented route produces a PDF; it is not a guarantee of a long PNG or JPEG image.
Take a scrolling screenshot on Android
On Android 12 and later, Google says Capture more works on most screens that allow scrolling. Availability can depend on the device and the page or app, so do not expect the option everywhere. - Open the webpage and take a screenshot. Google’s general instructions use Power and Volume Down.
- Tap Capture more at the bottom of the screen, if it appears.
- Adjust the crop guides to include the scrollable content you need, then save the capture.

When the phone’s full-page control is unavailable
If the page is incomplete, first let it finish loading and retry the phone’s full-page or scrolling option. On Android, check the manufacturer’s support instructions when Capture more does not appear.
If you have a computer and only need a full-page image, Firefox desktop has a built-in capture option: right-click an empty area of the page, choose Take Screenshot, then Save full page. Mozilla says the result can be downloaded as an image or copied to the clipboard. This is a desktop capture; the cited instructions do not establish that it reproduces the page’s mobile layout. Check the result before relying on it
Inspect the capture for missing content or overlays, particularly on long pages. The official instructions cited here do not specify how lazy-loaded images, sticky elements, nested scroll areas, or very tall documents behave across device models. Treat these as practical checks rather than guaranteed limitations or features.
