Short answer: YouTube Studio is the safest free starting point: schedule videos individually in each channel, then manage the channel’s playlists separately. A playlist is a collection of videos, not a publishing schedule, and the available official playlist guidance does not show a way to schedule a playlist as one unit. Buffer and Publer list free allowances worth comparing, but their cited pages do not establish free playlist assignment across multiple YouTube channels. Check that specific workflow before relying on either.

First, separate video scheduling from playlist scheduling

“Playlist scheduling” can mean two different things. You might want to schedule individual videos to publish at set times and then organize them into playlists. Or you might want to schedule an entire playlist to become public or publish as a unit at a future time. The first is a practical channel-by-channel workflow; YouTube’s official playlist instructions cover creating and managing playlists, not scheduling a playlist as a single object. YouTube’s playlist guidance

For multiple channels, use the relevant channel’s YouTube Studio to schedule each video, then manage that channel’s playlists separately. This is free and avoids assuming that a third-party scheduler supports playlist assignment. It does mean repeating the process for each channel.

How to keep the native workflow organized

  1. Work in one channel at a time. Confirm the active channel before preparing or scheduling uploads, especially if you switch between several channels.
  2. Schedule each video individually. Choose the intended publication date and time for each upload in that channel’s YouTube Studio.
  3. Manage the playlist separately. In YouTube Studio, create or edit the relevant playlist, set its visibility and order, and add the videos. YouTube’s instructions cover these playlist-management actions. Manage playlists in YouTube Studio
  4. Check the result on the channel. Confirm that the scheduled upload and playlist organization are correct before repeating the workflow on your other channels.

YouTube also documents a daily limit on creating public playlists across YouTube Music, the main YouTube app and the YouTube API; access to advanced features can increase that limit. If you operate several channels or create many playlists in a short period, check the current YouTube playlist guidance.

Free tools to consider for multiple YouTube channels

The table separates documented account and queue limits from the key unanswered question: whether the free plan can assign each scheduled upload to a playlist on the intended YouTube channel. A vendor’s claim that it schedules YouTube content does not, by itself, establish that workflow.

Option What the cited pages establish What to verify before using it for this workflow
YouTube Studio Official instructions cover creating and managing playlists, including visibility, order, adding videos and editing details. Channel-native video scheduling is the practical free baseline. YouTube Help The cited playlist guidance does not establish playlist-level scheduled publication. Public playlist creation is subject to a daily limit. YouTube Help
Buffer Buffer’s free plan lists up to three channels and 10 scheduled posts per channel. Buffer pricing and Buffer plan features The cited pages do not establish YouTube playlist assignment. Confirm that the YouTube post types and channels you need are supported, and check current plan terms before planning around these caps.
Publer Its free plan lists up to three social accounts and 10 scheduled posts waiting at once per account; its product page describes scheduling YouTube videos and Shorts. The free-plan help page was updated August 12, 2026. Publer Free details and YouTube scheduling The cited pages do not establish free playlist assignment across multiple YouTube channels. Check whether each channel uses an account slot and whether the queue limit suits your publishing volume.
Metricool The help page describes free use with one brand and basic planning and analytics. Metricool plan differences One brand may be restrictive for several channel brands. The cited page does not establish the full YouTube feature set or playlist assignment.
SocialBu The product page markets YouTube video and Shorts scheduling across connected channels and describes a seven-day free trial. SocialBu YouTube scheduler The cited page supports a trial, not a confirmed permanent free plan; verify playlist assignment and what remains available after the trial.
Poststack The product page markets bulk scheduling and multi-channel YouTube management, describes the product as built in India, and states a 15-day trial requiring a card. Poststack YouTube scheduler The cited offer is a card-required trial, not a permanent free tier. Confirm playlist assignment and post-trial pricing before adopting it.
Pixalera The vendor page advertises free-forever access and says playlist assignment can be saved in upload templates. Pixalera YouTube scheduler The cited page does not establish that the free plan covers multiple YouTube channels. Treat the feature and plan descriptions as vendor claims and verify the channel limit and workflow directly.

Which option should you choose?

  • Choose YouTube Studio if you want a free, channel-native process and can schedule uploads and organize playlists separately.
  • Shortlist Buffer or Publer if a shared calendar or queue would help. Their cited pages provide free-plan limits, but do not confirm playlist assignment for this use case.
  • Evaluate Metricool only if its one-brand free plan fits your setup; that cap may be a poor match for several channel brands.
  • Consider SocialBu or Poststack if you are willing to test a time-limited trial rather than rely on a permanent free plan.
  • Check Pixalera carefully if upload templates with playlist assignment are the feature you need. Its page advertises a free-forever plan, but the evidence cited here does not establish multi-channel access on that tier.

No cited candidate establishes the complete combination of a continuing free plan, multiple YouTube channels and automatic playlist assignment at scheduled upload. Do not treat “YouTube scheduler” or “multi-channel” as proof of playlist support.

What to check before moving several channels into a scheduler

  1. Channel capacity: find out whether the limit counts YouTube channels, social accounts or brands, and whether your free tier can connect every channel you manage.
  2. Queue capacity: distinguish posts waiting in the queue from posts scheduled over a longer period. For example, Publer’s cited free-plan terms specify 10 scheduled posts at once per account; Buffer lists 10 scheduled posts per channel. Confirm current terms on each vendor’s page.
  3. Playlist assignment: ask whether a video can be assigned to an existing YouTube playlist as part of scheduling, whether that works for every connected channel, and whether it applies to both long-form videos and Shorts.
  4. Publishing method: establish whether the service uploads and schedules directly to YouTube or merely provides a reminder or calendar entry that requires manual publishing.
  5. Time zone: set the intended local publishing time and check how the scheduler displays and handles time zones. The cited sources do not establish that a candidate automatically uses India Standard Time.
  6. Offer and eligibility: distinguish a permanent free tier from a trial, and check current terms and account eligibility for your location. The cited pages do not establish India-specific restrictions, local support or rupee pricing for these schedulers.

Test the workflow on one channel first

Before connecting every channel or building a full calendar, run a low-risk check with one channel. Connect it, schedule a test upload using an appropriate private or unlisted setting if available, and confirm the scheduled time, the time-zone display and the playlist assignment. Then verify what appears in YouTube Studio. If any part requires a manual step, decide whether that is acceptable before scaling up.

A separate option for keeping a YouTube stream live

StreamNeo is not a playlist scheduling tool: it does not schedule uploads to publish later. It serves a different need—keeping uploaded videos live on YouTube 24/7. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live; StreamNeo loops it from the cloud, so your computer and home connection do not have to stay on. It supports uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream, and offers the first day free with no card. The monthly price is $9.99 per month. Learn more at StreamNeo, or start the free day.
