StreamNeo is the first option to consider: it loops uploaded videos from the cloud, supports any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day. YouTube’s encoder directory also lists Gyre for continuous prerecorded streams and Upstream as a 24/7 cloud studio; Cloud-OBS offers a dedicated cloud OBS setup, while Google Cloud Live Stream API is the configurable, usage-billed route.
These are different kinds of services, not a tested performance ranking. Vendor capabilities and prices can change, so confirm current terms and whether a plan covers your number of simultaneous streams before signing up.
Best cloud services for continuous YouTube game-replay streams
- StreamNeo — Best fit for a straightforward always-on replay stream: it loops uploaded videos from the cloud, supports any quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and gives new accounts one free day.
- Gyre — A fit to investigate if you want a service listed in YouTube’s encoder directory specifically for continuous prerecorded-video streams. YouTube’s directory describes Full HD and 4K at 30/60 FPS and a built-in converter; those are directory/vendor descriptions, not independent test results. YouTube’s encoder directory notes that listed products are not made by YouTube.
- Upstream — Worth checking if you want a browser-based cloud studio in addition to 24/7 streaming. YouTube’s directory describes it as a cloud studio for easy 24/7 streaming with YouTube integration; verify current plan limits and whether the features match a replay-only channel. - Cloud-OBS — A dedicated cloud OBS configuration with uploaded playlists and browser controls, for users who prefer a remote OBS-style setup. The vendor lists a 1080p/30 FPS setup and 180 GB storage. Cloud-OBS service page.
- Google Cloud Live Stream API — A technical alternative for teams that want configurable cloud encoding and can estimate and manage usage-based charges. Billing depends on active channel time, resolution, codec, outputs, and distribution. Google Cloud pricing.
StreamNeo is a cloud service for keeping a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos: upload a recording or playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It runs the loop in the cloud, so your computer and home connection do not need to remain on. It is for uploaded video playback, not live camera broadcasting, and it streams to YouTube.
StreamNeo plans and included features
Each slot includes one always-on stream, 10 GB storage per slot pooled across active slots, 24/7 looping and playlists, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and support from the StreamNeo team. Every plan has the same product and quality allowance; only the billing period changes. The uploaded video streams as made, up to 4K 60fps, with no re-encode or quality tiers.

Before choosing a cloud service, check storage and upload limits against your replay library, supported quality and frame rate, how reconnects and failed media are handled, whether it uses a stream key or account authorization, and how you manage rotation or archives. Do not infer an uptime guarantee from phrases such as “ultra-stable.”

How the other options differ
Gyre and Upstream: managed cloud services
YouTube’s encoder directory is useful for discovering tools designed to connect to YouTube. Its descriptions establish that Gyre is intended for continuous prerecorded-video streaming and that Upstream is presented as a 24/7 cloud studio; they do not establish comparative uptime, support quality, or current pricing. Check each provider’s current plans for simultaneous stream limits, upload capacity, reconnect behavior, and how it handles stream archives before committing.
Cloud-OBS: remote OBS with playlist controls
Cloud-OBS describes a dedicated cloud OBS slot, an ordered playlist, pause/resume/skip controls in a browser, remote desktop access, and one configured destination. Its service page displays €34.99/month for the first three months, then €49.99/month; the page qualifies the launch offer as limited to the first three activations. These are volatile vendor-listed terms, not a guaranteed quote, so confirm price and availability on the Cloud-OBS service page. The listed setup is 1080p/30 FPS with 180 GB storage, so compare those limits with your source files and intended broadcast.

Google Cloud Live Stream API: configurable, usage-billed encoding
The API is a more technical choice than a creator-focused playlist service. Google bills active channels according to configured resolution and codec; each active channel has a ten-minute minimum, and additional time is rounded up to the nearest minute. Distribution streams are extra outputs, and endpoints also incur hourly fees. Region and configuration affect cost, so estimate your actual workload using Google Cloud’s pricing page rather than assuming a full month of continuous output will be cheaper than a managed plan.
Check YouTube eligibility and replay rights first
YouTube supports encoder-based gameplay streaming. To go live, a channel must be verified and must not have had a live-stream restriction in the previous 90 days; first-time enablement can take up to 24 hours. YouTube states a maximum of 10 active streams per channel and three active streams per stream key. See YouTube’s live-stream setup and policy guidance for current requirements.

Confirm you have the rights to rebroadcast the gameplay footage, soundtrack, voice chat, overlays, and any other included material. YouTube requires live content to follow its Community Guidelines and Terms of Service and may restrict live-stream access. Permission to play or record a game does not by itself establish that every element in a replay is cleared for continuous public rebroadcast.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Set up a continuous replay stream
- Prepare the files. Assemble only replays and audio you are entitled to rebroadcast. Check that files play through cleanly and that the playlist order and intended rotation make sense for a channel that may be watched at any point.
- Confirm the channel can go live. Verify the YouTube channel and check that it has no live-stream restriction in the previous 90 days. Enable live streaming in advance if it is the first time; YouTube says activation may take up to 24 hours.
- Choose the operating model. For a managed playlist encoder, upload the media, authorize YouTube or enter a stream key according to that service’s instructions, configure the playlist, and start the broadcast. For an API workflow, configure the live channel, input, output and distribution endpoints, then connect the resulting encoder output to YouTube; this requires technical setup and cost monitoring.
- Check the live result in YouTube Studio. Confirm the correct channel and stream are active, verify playback and audio, and check the viewer-facing title, description, and visibility. Do not treat a successful encoder connection as proof that the content is policy-compliant or that archives and broadcast rotation are configured the way you want.
- Plan for interruptions. Find out what happens if a file fails, the cloud encoder disconnects, or YouTube drops the stream. Confirm whether the provider retries automatically and whether you need to restart or rotate the broadcast or manage its archive yourself.
Or let it run in the cloud
With StreamNeo, upload a recording or playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home; your uploaded video streams at its original quality up to 4K 60fps at one price per slot; and StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card, once per account. Monthly is $9.99 per month. Start your free StreamNeo day.
Estimate storage and running costs
For a full-time channel, compare the cost of a slot or subscription with the API’s recurring active-channel, output, and endpoint charges. For every option, include the amount of replay media you need online, any additional slots or outputs, and the controls or support you need. A listed monthly rate alone may not represent the total if your configuration requires extra capacity or distribution.
StreamNeo provides an upload-time calculator to estimate transfer time and a cloud vs PC cost calculator for comparing operating approaches. Use the copyright safety checklist to review rights questions before uploading.
Quick Recap
Common problems and what to check
- You cannot start a YouTube live stream: check channel verification, prior 90-day live restrictions, and whether first-time live enablement has completed.
- The cloud service connects but viewers do not see the intended replay: check the selected playlist, file playback, destination channel, and stream key or account authorization. Confirm that the provider is sending the intended output to YouTube.
- The stream stops after a disconnect: check whether the service retries automatically, whether YouTube ended the broadcast, and whether the provider requires a manual restart. Recovery and archive rotation vary by service; confirm the behavior for your chosen configuration.
- A replay or audio track triggers a rights concern: review the rights for the specific footage, music, and other material and remove or replace anything you cannot rebroadcast. A cloud encoder does not grant content rights.
- Your bill is higher than expected on an API setup: review active-channel duration, configured resolution and codec, extra outputs, distribution endpoints, region, and rounding rules against the Google Cloud estimate.
- Your playlist does not fit the service: compare total uploaded media with included storage and upload limits, and check supported resolution, frame rate, and file handling before moving the full library.
