Baseus 6-in-1 Steam Deck Dock is the best all-round alternative to the ROG Bulwark Dock DG310 if you need one dock for Steam Deck, ROG Ally, Legion Go and similar handhelds. Its adjustable cradle, three USB-A ports, Gigabit Ethernet and listed 100W power delivery cover the essentials, although its HDMI 2.0 output does not match DG310’s HDMI 2.1 feature set.
Choose iVoler for the lowest-cost basic setup, Valve’s Steam Deck Docking Station for a Steam Deck-first system with DisplayPort and official firmware updates, or BenQ BeCreatus for a desktop hub with many peripherals. Keep DG310 when 4K/144Hz-capable HDMI 2.1, VRR, ALLM, HDR, ROG Xbox Ally stand fit and up to 80W host delivery matter most.
What the ROG Bulwark Dock DG310 offers
ASUS announced the ROG Bulwark Dock DG310 on October 15, 2026. It is a six-in-one USB-C dock with one HDMI 2.1 output, three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports rated at 5Gbps, one Gigabit Ethernet port and one USB-C power input. Its fixed host cable can deliver up to 80W to a compatible handheld when the dock is connected to a 100W-or-higher USB-C Power Delivery charger.
The single display output supports up to 4K at 144Hz or 8K at 30Hz, with HDR, variable refresh rate (VRR) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM). ASUS also highlights RGB lighting and one-touch Bluetooth pairing. The integrated stand is shaped around the ROG Xbox Ally (2025), ROG Xbox Ally X (2025) and ROG Xbox Ally X20 (2026).

Other handhelds can use DG310’s ports when they support USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode and USB Power Delivery, but ASUS does not promise that the physical cradle will fit every model or protective case. That distinction—electrical compatibility versus mechanical fit—is the most important limitation to check before buying.

Best overall alternative: Baseus 6-in-1 Steam Deck Dock
Baseus is the closest substitute when one dock must serve several handheld families. GamesRadar lists an adjustable cradle that fits Steam Deck, ROG Ally, Lenovo Legion Go and Ayaneo 2S, including units with protective cases. That adjustable design addresses the problem DG310’s molded stand cannot: different handheld widths, grips and case thicknesses.
It also combines three USB-A ports, a USB-C port, Gigabit Ethernet and listed 100W power delivery. Those connections cover a wired controller, keyboard, mouse, storage drive and network cable without immediately requiring a hub. HDMI 2.0 is the main compromise. It is adequate for ordinary 4K television or monitor use, but it does not provide the same stated 4K/144Hz ceiling or the explicitly listed VRR and ALLM support of DG310.
Rank #2
- 5-in-1 Connectivity: Equipped with a 4K HDMI port, a 5 Gbps USB-C data port, two 5 Gbps USB-A ports, and a USB C 100W PD-IN port. Note: The USB C 100W PD-IN port supports only charging and does not support data transfer devices such as headphones or speakers.
- Powerful Pass-Through Charging: Supports up to 85W pass-through charging so you can power up your laptop while you use the hub. Note: Pass-through charging requires a charger (not included). Note: To achieve full power for iPad, we recommend using a 45W wall charger.
- Transfer Files in Seconds: Move files to and from your laptop at speeds of up to 5 Gbps via the USB-C and USB-A data ports. Note: The USB C 5Gbps Data port does not support video output.
- HD Display: Connect to the HDMI port to stream or mirror content to an external monitor in resolutions of up to 4K@30Hz. Note: The USB-C ports do not support video output.
- What You Get: Anker 332 USB-C Hub (5-in-1), welcome guide, our worry-free 18-month warranty, and friendly customer service.
Choose Baseus when
- You regularly switch between Steam Deck, ROG Ally, Legion Go and other USB-C handhelds.
- Your handhelds remain in cases while docked.
- Gigabit Ethernet and several USB-A accessories matter more than HDMI 2.1 features.
- You want 100W-class input capability without buying a dock dedicated to one device.
Check before buying
- Confirm whether the specific regional package includes a charger; the cited listing does not establish that.
- Verify the HDMI 2.0 output’s supported resolution and refresh-rate combinations for your monitor.
- Make sure the adjustable cradle does not press buttons, block vents or leave the USB-C plug at an angle.
Best budget option: iVoler 5-in-1 Steam Deck Dock
iVoler is the budget choice for a simple desk or television setup. The cited GamesRadar listing describes HDMI, three USB 3.0 ports, one USB-C port and 65W power delivery. That is enough for display output, charging and a small set of peripherals when you do not need DG310’s HDMI 2.1, VRR, ALLM or 80W host-delivery capability.
The 65W figure is the decision point. Some handhelds can operate normally at that level, while others may reduce charging speed or performance when gaming at high power. The listing does not establish HDMI generation, maximum refresh rate, Ethernet, DisplayPort, charger inclusion or broad cradle compatibility, so treat iVoler as a basic-function purchase rather than a universal replacement.
Choose iVoler when
- Price and basic HDMI, USB and charging functions are your priorities.
- You use one handheld and do not need wired networking.
- Your monitor or television does not require high-refresh 4K output.
Best for Steam Deck owners: Valve Steam Deck Docking Station
Valve’s official Steam Deck Docking Station is the strongest choice for a Steam Deck-first setup. GamesRadar lists HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, three USB 3.1 ports and 100W delivery, and the package includes a power supply. The dock also receives firmware updates from the Steam Deck, which can simplify compatibility fixes and dock-side improvements.
Recommended Free Tools
Its trade-off is physical specialization. The cradle is made for Steam Deck, so a ROG Ally, Legion Go or another thicker or differently shaped handheld may not sit securely. DisplayPort is valuable if your monitor uses that input or if you want to reserve HDMI for a television, but it does not make the dock mechanically universal.

Choose Valve’s dock when
- Steam Deck is your primary or only handheld.
- You need both HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4.
- An included power supply and Steam Deck-delivered firmware updates are worth prioritizing.
Best desktop hub: BenQ BeCreatus
BenQ BeCreatus is aimed at a desk that behaves more like a complete workstation than a compact console dock. GamesRadar lists HDMI, DisplayPort, two USB-C ports, five USB-A ports, 3.5mm audio, Ethernet and up to 135W total power delivery. That unusually broad I/O is useful for several storage devices, audio gear, controllers and two different monitor standards.
The 135W figure is total dock power, not a stated guarantee that 135W reaches the handheld. The cited information also does not establish cradle dimensions, case clearance, HDMI or DisplayPort generations, maximum refresh rates or charger inclusion. Measure the handheld and check the product’s mechanical drawings before treating BeCreatus as a drop-in replacement for a console-style dock.
Choose BeCreatus when
- You need many USB-A and USB-C peripherals at once.
- Your monitors use a mix of HDMI and DisplayPort.
- Ethernet and 3.5mm audio are useful at the same workstation.
- A larger desktop hub is preferable to a minimal travel dock.
Do you need HDMI 2.1?
HDMI 2.1 matters when your display chain and games can use features beyond ordinary 4K television output. DG310’s stated limits are 4K at 144Hz or 8K at 30Hz, plus HDR, VRR and ALLM. A monitor must support the chosen resolution and refresh rate, the handheld must output it through USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode, and the dock must negotiate the required signal. A handheld game may still render below that resolution or refresh rate even when the connection supports it.
Baseus uses HDMI 2.0, while iVoler’s HDMI generation is not stated. Valve’s dock lists HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4, but its maximum refresh-rate combinations are not stated in the cited listing. BenQ lists HDMI and DisplayPort without generations or limits. If 4K high refresh, VRR or ALLM is central to your setup, DG310 or Valve’s dock has the clearest documented advantage; otherwise, HDMI 2.0 can be sufficient for a 1080p or standard-refresh 4K display.

How much charging power is enough?
Dock power labels are not interchangeable. DG310 states up to 80W to the host when paired with a 100W-or-higher USB-C PD charger. Baseus lists 100W power delivery, iVoler 65W, Valve’s dock 100W and BenQ up to 135W total. The latter figures do not, by themselves, prove how much power reaches the handheld after the dock’s own electronics and attached USB devices draw power.
Use your handheld maker’s recommended input as the baseline. If you play demanding games while charging, connect the dock to a charger that meets or exceeds the dock’s requirement and leave headroom for peripherals. A lower-wattage charger can result in slower charging, a “slow charger” warning or battery drain during play. A high-wattage charger cannot force a handheld to accept more than its USB-PD negotiation allows.
Compatibility checklist before ordering
- Confirm video support. Check that the handheld supports USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode and that its operating system exposes the required display modes.
- Measure the fit. Compare the handheld’s width, thickness, port position and case dimensions with the dock’s cradle. An adjustable cradle is safer for mixed-device ownership than a molded Steam Deck or ROG Xbox Ally stand.
- Match charging requirements. Compare the dock’s stated delivery with the handheld’s preferred USB-PD profile, then verify whether a suitable charger is bundled.
- Count ports by speed and type. Three USB-A sockets are not automatically equivalent: confirm whether they are USB 3.x and whether you need USB-C data, audio or DisplayPort.
- Choose networking deliberately. Use Gigabit Ethernet if you download large games, stream locally or want lower and more consistent latency than Wi-Fi. ASUS describes a wired connection as lower-latency and more reliable than wireless.
- Check the display connection. Select HDMI 2.1 or DisplayPort only when your monitor, cable and handheld can use the requested resolution, refresh rate and adaptive-sync features.
- Verify the exact package. Before payment, check regional model number, live stock, included charger, cradle dimensions and return policy.
Common failure modes and fixes
The handheld charges slowly or loses battery while gaming
Check the charger’s wattage, the dock’s negotiated USB-PD profile and the power draw of attached drives or accessories. Disconnect high-draw USB devices, use the recommended charger class and test again. If the dock’s specification describes total input rather than host output, do not assume the full number reaches the handheld.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
The display is limited to 60Hz
Confirm the monitor input, cable rating, operating-system display settings and the dock’s HDMI or DisplayPort generation. A dock cannot create a high-refresh mode that the handheld’s USB-C output or the display does not support. For DG310, enable the monitor’s appropriate HDR, VRR or low-latency mode only after the basic signal is stable.

The handheld does not sit correctly
Remove or change the protective case only if the manufacturer permits it, adjust the cradle where possible and ensure the USB-C plug is fully inserted without sideways force. A dock can be electrically compatible yet unsafe or unstable in a stand designed for a different chassis.
USB devices disconnect
Test one peripheral at a time, avoid unpowered high-draw drives when the dock has limited power headroom and check whether the port is USB 2.0 or USB 3.x. If Ethernet and several storage devices are active simultaneously, a larger desktop hub such as BeCreatus may be a better fit than a compact travel dock.
Which dock should you buy?
| Your priority | Best match | Why |
|---|---|---|
| One dock for several handhelds and cases | Baseus 6-in-1 | Adjustable cradle, broad device fit, Gigabit Ethernet and listed 100W delivery |
| Lowest-cost basic dock | iVoler 5-in-1 | HDMI, three USB 3.0 ports, USB-C and listed 65W delivery |
| Steam Deck with official support | Valve Steam Deck Docking Station | Steam Deck-specific fit, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, included power supply and firmware updates |
| Many peripherals and mixed monitor standards | BenQ BeCreatus | Five USB-A, two USB-C, HDMI, DisplayPort, Ethernet, audio and up to 135W total delivery |
| 4K/144Hz-class HDMI 2.1 features and ROG Xbox Ally stand fit | ROG Bulwark Dock DG310 | HDMI 2.1 with HDR, VRR and ALLM, up to 80W host delivery and ROG-focused integration |
For most owners of multiple handhelds, Baseus is the safest balance of fit and connectivity. iVoler saves money when 65W and basic HDMI are enough. Steam Deck owners who value official updates and DisplayPort should choose Valve’s station. BenQ is the desktop-hub option. DG310 remains the specialist choice for HDMI 2.1 features, ROG Xbox Ally stand fit, one-touch Bluetooth pairing and documented 80W host delivery.
