The POCO X7 Pro is the strongest directly documented alternative to the Infinix GT 50 Pro and GT 30 Pro. Android Central places it in the same budget-gaming segment as the GT 30 Pro, making it the most defensible rival when sustained performance and price matter more than a distinctive gaming design. However, the available evidence does not establish a universal POCO advantage: there is no shared independent benchmark set, cross-market camera test, battery test, or current worldwide price. Verify the exact configuration and street price in your country before buying.
The Infinix GT 30 Pro remains unusually well specified for its class: a Dimensity 8350 platform, 1.5K 144Hz AMOLED panel, capacitive GT Triggers, 5,500mAh battery, 108MP rear camera, wireless charging, and a published Indian MRP of ₹31,999 for the displayed 5G+ configuration. The newer GT 50 Pro is reported by Infinix to reach up to 3.25GHz and more than 2,224,634 on AnTuTu, a claimed 26.45% improvement over the GT 30 Pro. Those figures make the GT 50 Pro the performance-led choice within Infinix’s range, while the POCO is the alternative to investigate if you prefer a conventional gaming phone design or find it at a better local price.
What counts as a good alternative?
A gaming-phone alternative should be judged as a complete device, not by processor branding alone. A faster peak score can still produce a worse experience if the phone throttles during a long session, becomes uncomfortable to hold, or lacks the controls and charging features you use every day. For this comparison, the important questions are:
- Sustained performance: Does the cooling system maintain frame rates after 20 to 30 minutes rather than only during a short benchmark?
- Gaming controls: Are shoulder triggers, touch sampling, vibration and gaming-mode controls useful for the games you play?
- Display response: Does the panel combine a high refresh rate with low touch latency, suitable brightness and a resolution you can run efficiently?
- Power behavior: How large is the battery, how quickly does it charge, and can you reduce heat while charging?
- Everyday ownership: Are cameras, software support, speakers, network compatibility, ergonomics and warranty acceptable outside games?
- Value: What storage and memory configuration is actually sold in your market, and what is the current street price rather than an old launch price?
The research supports a detailed baseline for the two Infinix models, but not a complete laboratory comparison with the POCO X7 Pro. Treat conclusions about the POCO as buying guidance and verification points, not as invented test results.

Infinix GT 30 Pro: the baseline an alternative must beat
Performance platform
Infinix’s launch material describes the GT 30 Pro as using a Dimensity 8350 Ultimate chip. The company’s product material identifies the processor family as Dimensity 8350 and positions the phone for gaming at up to 120 frames per second in supported titles. A game must support that frame-rate mode, and the display, thermals and graphics settings still determine whether it can be sustained.
Display and controls
The headline panel is a 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. A 144Hz mode can make menus and supported games look smoother than a 120Hz panel, but it is not automatically a performance advantage: the game has to render enough frames, and higher refresh modes can increase power consumption. The GT 30 Pro’s capacitive GT Triggers provide physical locations for mapped actions without requiring an external controller. They are a major differentiator for players who use two-finger or four-finger layouts in shooters and action games.
Battery, charging and camera
The listed battery capacity is 5,500mAh. Infinix also specifies wired fast charging and wireless charging. Those are useful for different reasons: wired charging minimizes downtime, while wireless charging is convenient at a desk or bedside. Neither figure establishes how long the phone lasts in a particular game or how hot it becomes while charging; those outcomes depend on brightness, network signal, frame rate and ambient temperature.

Indian pricing context
Android Central reported Indian launch prices of ₹24,999 for the 8GB/256GB model and ₹26,999 for the 12GB/256GB model in 2025. Infinix’s current Indian product page shows an MRP of ₹31,999 for the displayed GT 30 Pro 5G+ configuration. These are different types of figures: launch prices describe a particular sale configuration and date, while MRP is a listed maximum retail price. Compare the exact memory, storage, warranty and retailer price before treating either number as today’s cost.
Infinix GT 50 Pro: what the newer model changes
Documented performance claim
Infinix announced the GT 50 Pro on April 24, 2026. Its announcement says the chipset can run at up to 3.25GHz and reports an AnTuTu score above 2,224,634. Infinix presents that result as a 26.45% increase over the GT 30 Pro. Because the score is a manufacturer-reported result, it should be read as a directional claim rather than a directly comparable independent test. AnTuTu versions, temperature, performance mode, battery level and firmware can all change a result.
Design philosophy
Infinix describes the model as a “strategic evolution” built around “Physical Refinement, Thermal Sovereignty and Intelligent Optimization.” Those are positioning terms, not standardized measurements. Ask the seller for the regional specification sheet and look for independent sustained-load testing if thermal behavior is your deciding factor.
Accessory compatibility
Infinix says its GT Game Controller works with the GT 50 Pro. A controller can provide more consistent inputs than touch controls, but check the controller’s availability, regional compatibility and whether the games you play accept gamepad input. An accessory does not replace the convenience of integrated triggers for quick sessions.

POCO X7 Pro: why it is the leading documented alternative
Android Central explicitly places the POCO X7 Pro against the Infinix GT 30 Pro in the same budget gaming segment. That makes it the clearest alternative supported by the available evidence, rather than a speculative list of unrelated flagships. The strongest reason to consider it is the possibility of obtaining a conventional high-performance phone at a lower local price or with a configuration better suited to your market.
There is no independent benchmark dataset in the available material that tests the POCO X7 Pro beside either Infinix model. There is also no universal current price, cross-market camera comparison or battery endurance test. Do not claim that the POCO is faster, cooler, longer-lasting or better for photography without checking tests for your exact region and software version.
What to verify before purchase
- Record the exact model: Confirm RAM, storage, network bands and whether the listing is an official regional version.
- Check sustained gaming tests: Look for frame-rate graphs or repeated runs, not a single peak benchmark.
- Inspect control options: Determine whether the model has integrated triggers, software shoulder buttons or only ordinary touch controls. If triggers matter to you, this is a deciding difference rather than a minor specification.
- Confirm charging hardware: Check the included charger, wired charging rate, wireless-charging support and any bypass-charging or charge-separation mode.
- Compare support terms: Verify the seller’s warranty, service location and software-update commitment for your country.
- Price the complete setup: Include a case, cooler or controller if you would need one to reproduce your preferred gaming setup.

Choose the GT 30 Pro when integrated controls matter
The GT 30 Pro is the most straightforward choice for players who want capacitive shoulder triggers without carrying a controller. Its 144Hz 1.5K AMOLED panel, 5,500mAh battery and wireless charging form a strong feature set, and the two reported Indian launch configurations make it possible to choose between a lower price and more memory. Buy it only after checking current stock and software support: the 2025 launch prices may no longer be available, and the current listed MRP is higher.

Choose the GT 50 Pro when you want the newest Infinix performance claim
The GT 50 Pro is the logical Infinix upgrade if the reported 3.25GHz ceiling and 2,224,634-plus AnTuTu result matter more than a known price. The claimed 26.45% improvement is meaningful as a manufacturer comparison, but it is not a substitute for independent sustained-load testing. Ask whether your local model includes the same chipset, memory and cooling configuration described in the announcement.
Choose the POCO X7 Pro when value and conventional design lead
The POCO X7 Pro deserves first consideration when its verified local price undercuts the Infinix phones or when you prefer a less specialized appearance. It is the only alternative explicitly documented alongside the GT 30 Pro in the same budget-gaming category. Its case is strongest for buyers who are comfortable using touch controls or a separate controller and who can confirm cooling, update support and battery behavior through local tests.
Choose a conventional flagship only for specific non-gaming needs
A conventional flagship can be preferable if camera quality, long software support, compact ergonomics or dependable network compatibility outweigh integrated gaming controls. The available evidence does not identify a particular flagship as a measured alternative, so compare one only after establishing those requirements. A phone that wins a camera comparison but lacks the battery, cooling or controls you use for gaming is not automatically a better gaming-phone purchase.

Triggers versus a controller: the practical decision
Advantages of integrated triggers
- They are always attached to the phone and add no pairing or charging step.
- They can let you aim, move and fire with more fingers in supported games.
- They preserve a slim travel setup compared with a phone plus controller.
Advantages of a separate controller
- Physical sticks and buttons can be more comfortable for long sessions.
- A controller can work across several devices, not just one phone.
- It may be better for games designed around gamepad input.
The GT 30 Pro’s GT Triggers favor convenience and fast competitive layouts. The GT 50 Pro’s announced controller compatibility favors players who already own or plan to buy a gamepad. For the POCO X7 Pro, verify the exact control method rather than assuming it duplicates Infinix’s shoulder-button experience.

- Powerful Pass-Through Charging: Supports up to 85W pass-through charging so you can power up your laptop while you use the hub. Note: Pass-through charging requires a charger (not included). Note: To achieve full power for iPad, we recommend using a 45W wall charger.
- Transfer Files in Seconds: Move files to and from your laptop at speeds of up to 5 Gbps via the USB-C and USB-A data ports. Note: The USB C 5Gbps Data port does not support video output.
- HD Display: Connect to the HDMI port to stream or mirror content to an external monitor in resolutions of up to 4K@30Hz. Note: The USB-C ports do not support video output.
- What You Get: Anker 332 USB-C Hub (5-in-1), welcome guide, our worry-free 18-month warranty, and friendly customer service.
How to compare prices without being misled
- Match the configuration: Compare 8GB/256GB with 8GB/256GB, or 12GB/256GB with 12GB/256GB. Extra memory changes the value calculation.
- Separate launch price from MRP: The GT 30 Pro’s ₹24,999 and ₹26,999 figures were reported Indian launch prices in 2025; ₹31,999 is the current listed MRP for a displayed Indian configuration.
- Use local currency and warranty: Import savings can disappear after tax, shipping, incompatible bands or weak after-sales support.
- Add required accessories: Include a controller, case, cooler and charger if the phone does not include what your setup requires.
- Check return conditions: Gaming performance is difficult to judge from specifications. A clear return policy matters if sustained heat, touch latency or software behavior disappoints.
Thermal and performance checks after purchase
Run the same game at the same brightness and graphics settings for at least 20 minutes, then note frame-rate stability, surface temperature, battery loss and touch responsiveness. Repeat while charging only if the manufacturer permits gaming during charging. Test Wi-Fi and mobile data separately because a weak signal can create stutter that looks like thermal throttling. These checks do not create a laboratory benchmark, but they reveal whether the phone meets your own session length and comfort requirements.
For the GT 50 Pro, compare the result with the manufacturer’s performance mode enabled and disabled. A headline AnTuTu score above 2,224,634 does not tell you how the phone behaves after heat builds up. For the GT 30 Pro, test both the 120fps mode in supported games and the 144Hz display setting; the panel’s maximum refresh rate and a game’s rendered frame rate are separate limits.
Common buying mistakes
- Assuming a higher refresh rate guarantees higher frame rates: A 144Hz panel cannot make a game render at 144fps if the software or chipset does not deliver it.
- Using megapixels as a camera verdict: The GT 30 Pro’s 108MP figure says nothing by itself about dynamic range, stabilization or night images.
- Treating a manufacturer benchmark as an independent comparison: The GT 50 Pro’s 2,224,634-plus result is an Infinix-reported figure with test conditions not fully established here.
- Ignoring regional versions: Memory, storage, network bands, charger type and warranty can differ by market.
- Buying on an old price: A 2025 launch price can be unavailable even when a product page still shows a higher MRP.
- Overlooking comfort: A gaming phone that is heavy, hot or awkward with a case can be less enjoyable than a slightly slower conventional model.
Bottom line
The POCO X7 Pro is the best-supported alternative to investigate because it is explicitly compared with the Infinix GT 30 Pro in the same budget-gaming segment. It becomes the better buy only if its verified local price, sustained gaming behavior, software support and control scheme fit your priorities. Choose the GT 30 Pro for known integrated triggers and a clearly documented 144Hz AMOLED, 5,500mAh, wireless-charging package. Choose the GT 50 Pro if you want Infinix’s newest performance platform and accept that its 3.25GHz and 2,224,634-plus AnTuTu figures are manufacturer claims that still need local, sustained-use validation.
