Best overall alternative: the Anker Prime Power Bank (27,650mAh, 250W) is the strongest replacement when you need high combined output for a laptop, phone and other devices. The Xiaomi 212W HyperCharge Power Bank 25000 is the speed-focused option for compatible equipment, while the UGREEN Nexode Power Bank 25000mAh 200W is the best travel-oriented choice if you want a live power display and broad USB-C compatibility.

The CUKTECH 25 Power Bank SE remains attractive when its lower price, built-in USB-C cable and fast charging for one device matter more than simultaneous charging. The CUKTECH 10 Ultra is a different product category: CUKTECH catalogs it as a power charger, meaning a wall charger rather than a battery pack. It should be compared with high-output GaN wall chargers, not portable power banks.

Quick answer: which alternative should you buy?

Product Type Best for Key published specifications Main qualification
CUKTECH 25 Power Bank SE Portable battery Lower-cost, single-device charging with a built-in cable 25,000mAh; 90Wh; 100W peak; one USB-C port; one USB-A port; integrated USB-C cable Android Authority reported 20W total when two or three devices are connected
Anker Prime Power Bank (A1340) Portable battery Maximum combined output and laptop charging across several devices 27,650mAh; 250W maximum total output; two USB-C ports; one USB-A port; up to 170W USB-C recharge; 665g Maximum figures depend on the connected devices, cables and charging protocols
Xiaomi 212W HyperCharge Power Bank 25000 (P03MI) Portable battery Very high output for compatible HyperCharge or USB-C equipment 25,000mAh typical; 90.8Wh typical; 212W maximum; USB-C1 up to 140W; USB-C2 up to 45W; USB-A up to 120W Port combinations vary substantially, so 212W is not guaranteed in every setup
UGREEN Nexode Power Bank 25000mAh 200W with Smart Digital Display Portable battery Travel, visible power data and broad USB-C laptop compatibility 25,000mAh; 90Wh; 140W charging; real-time voltage, current, input and output display The product page positions it for two laptops, but actual sharing depends on each laptop’s draw
CUKTECH 10 Ultra Wall charger Charging from an outlet rather than carrying stored energy Cataloged by CUKTECH as a “Power Charger” It is not a portable battery; a competing model should be chosen by port and wattage requirements

For a portable battery, choose the Anker model if several devices must charge quickly at once, Xiaomi if your equipment supports its highest charging modes, or UGREEN if display feedback and travel-friendly USB-C support are priorities. Choose the 25 SE when one-device speed and price are more important than multi-device performance.

What the CUKTECH 25 Power Bank SE actually offers

CUKTECH lists the 25 Power Bank SE as a 25,000mAh, 90Wh battery with a 100W peak output. Its hardware consists of one USB-C port, one USB-A port and an integrated USB-C cable. CUKTECH says it can charge three devices and requires a 100W-or-higher USB-C Power Delivery wall charger to reach its fastest recharge rate. Those are manufacturer specifications, not independent laboratory results.

An independent review published by Android Authority on October 6, 2026 lists a $69.99 MSRP. That review found 100W capability for a single device but reported that total output falls to 20W when two or three devices are connected. This distinction matters more than the headline wattage: a laptop may charge quickly alone, yet the same battery can become unsuitable when a phone and another accessory are plugged in.

When the 25 SE is still the sensible choice

  • You normally charge one laptop, tablet or phone at a time.
  • You value an attached USB-C cable and do not want to pack a separate cable for routine use.
  • The $69.99 MSRP reported by Android Authority fits your budget and your region’s actual selling price is similar.
  • Your laptop accepts USB-C PD input at or below the bank’s single-device capability.

When to look elsewhere

  • You need a laptop and phone to receive meaningful power simultaneously.
  • You want more than two physical output ports or two USB-C ports.
  • You need a screen showing voltage, current and input/output behavior.
  • Your phone relies on a proprietary fast-charge mode that the battery may not support.

Portable power-bank alternatives compared

The following products address different weaknesses rather than offering identical replacements. Their maximum wattages are published ceilings. A device, cable and protocol must all support the requested mode before that ceiling is attainable.

Anker Prime Power Bank: best for maximum combined output

Anker’s Prime model, model A1340, is the most capable option in this group for users who routinely charge several demanding devices. It has two USB-C ports and one USB-A port, so a laptop can occupy one USB-C connection while a phone or tablet uses another. The published 250W figure is maximum total output, not a promise that every combination of devices will receive that amount.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Anker specifies up to 140W laptop charging through USB-C and up to 170W input for recharging the bank. Its 665g weight is substantial for a portable battery, but that mass accompanies the higher output class. Power Delivery 3.1 support makes it a better match for newer laptops that negotiate high USB-C voltages, provided the laptop, cable and charger are also compatible.

Choose this model when simultaneous laptop charging is the central requirement and carrying extra weight is acceptable. It is less compelling if you only need occasional phone charging or if an attached cable is more useful than additional ports.

Xiaomi 212W HyperCharge Power Bank 25000: best for compatible high-speed setups

Xiaomi lists a 25,000mAh typical capacity and 90.8Wh typical energy for the P03MI. Its port ratings are explicit: USB-C1 can reach 140W, USB-C2 can reach 45W and USB-A can reach 120W. Those figures explain why it is attractive for a high-power laptop or a phone that supports the relevant charging system.

The important caveat is port sharing. Xiaomi documents multiple combinations that change the available output by port, so the 212W headline applies only under the appropriate combination of devices and protocols. Connecting a second device can redirect power away from the first port. Treat the ratings as a map of possibilities, then verify the combination your own laptop and phone require.

This is the best fit when you already know your equipment supports the necessary USB-C Power Delivery, PPS, HyperCharge or other negotiated mode. If compatibility is uncertain, a less protocol-dependent choice with clearer real-time feedback may be easier to live with.

UGREEN Nexode Power Bank 25000mAh 200W: best for travel visibility

UGREEN positions its Nexode battery as a 25,000mAh, 90Wh power bank with 140W charging and a smart digital display. The display reports voltage, current, input and output in real time, allowing you to see whether a laptop is actually drawing power instead of guessing from a charging icon.

The product page lists compatibility with MacBooks, USB-C laptops, smartphones and tablets and presents the bank as capable of charging two laptops simultaneously. That description is useful for planning, but simultaneous charging remains dependent on each laptop’s negotiated draw and the bank’s power allocation. A low-power ultrabook and a high-performance laptop will not create the same result.

Choose UGREEN when you travel with several USB-C devices, need to diagnose a slow charge, or prefer a 90Wh-class battery whose status is visible at a glance. The display adds information rather than extra energy, so buyers focused only on the highest possible output may prefer the Anker or Xiaomi specifications.

How to choose between the three alternatives

If one laptop must charge as fast as possible

Start with the laptop’s USB-C input requirement, not the power bank’s largest number. A computer that requests 100W can use a battery capable of 140W or more, but it cannot draw extra power merely because the bank advertises it. Use a full-rated USB-C cable and connect directly to the bank’s highest-output USB-C port. The Xiaomi USB-C1 and Anker’s laptop-oriented USB-C output are the most obvious matches in the published specifications; UGREEN also lists 140W charging.

If a laptop and phone must charge together

Prioritize a bank with multiple USB-C ports and a high total-output ceiling. The Anker unit has two USB-C ports and the highest published combined rating in this comparison. Xiaomi offers three output ports, but its combinations need closer checking because the available wattage changes with the ports in use. UGREEN’s two-laptop positioning and display are useful when you want to observe how power is divided.

If you carry the battery on flights

Capacity is expressed both in milliamp-hours and watt-hours. The 90Wh and 90.8Wh figures published for these products make watt-hours the easier number for travel planning because it describes stored energy directly. Confirm the airline and airport rules that apply to your itinerary before departure; acceptance is governed by the carrier and route, not by a product page alone. Keep the battery accessible as required by the carrier and do not assume that a similar-looking model has the same energy rating.

If you want the least friction

The 25 SE’s integrated cable is convenient for quick, single-device charging. Among the alternatives, UGREEN’s display reduces guesswork, while Anker’s extra USB-C port reduces cable and adapter juggling for multiple devices. Xiaomi is convenient only after you have confirmed that your devices support its charging modes.

Watts, capacity and protocols: what the numbers mean

Peak output is not sustained output

“100W,” “200W” and “250W” describe a maximum negotiated condition. The connected device controls its request, the battery controls how it allocates power, and thermal or safety management can reduce the rate. A laptop near full charge also commonly tapers its intake, so a power meter may show less than the advertised maximum even when everything is working correctly.

Capacity labels are not a promise of delivered energy

A 25,000mAh label describes the cells’ nominal capacity under the manufacturer’s measurement method. Conversion losses, cable resistance and the device’s own charging circuitry mean the energy reaching a phone or laptop is lower than the cell rating. Watt-hours provide a more useful comparison across products with different internal voltages, but they still represent stored energy rather than guaranteed output at a specific port.

Protocol and cable compatibility decide the result

USB-C Power Delivery is a negotiation between charger, cable and device. Power Delivery 3.1 can support newer high-voltage profiles, but every link in the chain must be rated for the requested current and voltage. PPS can improve charging behavior for phones that request continuously adjustable voltage. HyperCharge and other proprietary systems may require a matching protocol and cable; a USB-C connector alone does not guarantee the fastest mode.

Before buying, check the laptop’s input wattage, the phone’s supported PD/PPS or proprietary standard, and the cable’s rating. If any one of those is lower than the bank’s advertised capability, the system will settle at the lower level.

Recharging the power bank quickly

Recharge speed is easy to overlook. CUKTECH says the 25 SE needs a 100W-plus PD wall charger for peak recharge, and Anker publishes up to 170W USB-C input for its Prime bank. A smaller phone charger can recharge either bank, but it will take longer and may not activate the fastest input mode.

  1. Check the power bank’s input specification and the wall charger’s USB-C output.
  2. Use a cable rated for the required wattage; a cable intended only for basic charging can limit the negotiated rate.
  3. Connect the charger directly to the bank’s designated high-power input port.
  4. Leave other output devices disconnected if the bank reduces input while charging and discharging simultaneously.
  5. Monitor the display when available, or check the manufacturer’s indicators, and allow the battery to cool if charging slows markedly.

Do not select a wall charger solely because its total wattage is high. The charger must expose a PD profile the battery accepts, and its output must remain available on the port you are using.

  • Please Note: To reach 10Gbps speed, keep the cable under 3.3 ft. For USB A Male to USB C adapters, try flipping the USB C connector. USB C Male to USB A adapters support bidirectional 10Gbps transfer within 3.3 ft

Practical setup: charging a laptop and phone at the same time

  1. Identify the laptop’s required USB-C input wattage and connect it to the power bank’s highest-rated USB-C port.
  2. Use a second USB-C port for the phone when available; this is preferable to placing both devices on a single shared port.
  3. Connect the phone with a cable that supports its required PD, PPS or proprietary mode.
  4. Wait for both devices to display charging, then check the bank’s indicator or display for active output.
  5. If the laptop repeatedly switches between charging and discharging, remove the phone temporarily and test the laptop alone. The result indicates a power-allocation or protocol limit rather than a defective cable by itself.

With Xiaomi, consult the documented multi-port combination for the ports you selected. With UGREEN, use the display to observe the allocation. With Anker, the additional USB-C port is designed for this type of multi-device setup, but the connected devices still determine their actual draw.

Common problems and fixes

The laptop says “slow charger”

Confirm that the cable is electronically marked and rated for the required power, then try the bank’s highest-output USB-C port. Check the laptop’s input specification; some models accept USB-C only for data or require a proprietary adapter. If the bank and laptop use incompatible PD profiles, no port rearrangement will create the missing profile.

The phone charges, but not at its advertised fast rate

Look up whether the phone needs PPS, a proprietary protocol or a specific cable. A bank can provide high USB-C PD output while still failing to trigger a vendor-specific mode. Disable battery-protection settings temporarily only if you understand their effect; software charge limits can look like hardware limits.

Charging slows when another device is connected

This is often normal power allocation. Compare the bank’s published port-combination table with your connection pattern and disconnect the lower-priority device to test. The advertised maximum is not a guaranteed per-port rate when several outputs are active.

The bank will not recharge at the expected speed

Use a wall charger that meets the bank’s input requirement, connect to the correct input port and replace any low-rated cable. Avoid charging the bank while it is powering several devices during troubleshooting, because pass-through or simultaneous operation can alter the input rate.

The battery becomes unusually hot

Move it out of direct sunlight, remove insulating coverings and stop charging if it becomes too hot to handle. High-power charging generates more heat than basic phone charging. Persistent overheating, swelling or physical damage is a safety issue; discontinue use and follow the manufacturer’s disposal guidance.

CUKTECH 10 Ultra: a wall-charger decision, not a power-bank decision

CUKTECH’s catalog calls the 10 Ultra a “Power Charger.” That classification means it belongs with mains-powered wall chargers. It does not store energy for use away from an outlet, so comparing its capacity in milliamp-hours or its airline suitability with the portable batteries above would be misleading.

What to compare in a competing wall charger

  • Total wattage: add the realistic requirements of the laptop, phone and accessories you expect to connect at once.
  • Per-port limits: a charger may advertise a high total while assigning much less to a port after a second device is plugged in.
  • USB-C PD and PPS profiles: match them to the laptop and phone specifications rather than relying on connector shape.
  • USB-A availability: retain it only if you have legacy cables or accessories; otherwise, additional USB-C ports usually offer more flexibility.
  • Power allocation behavior: look for a published table showing what happens when two or more ports are active.
  • Regional plug and safety certification: confirm the plug type, voltage range and certification relevant to your country.

A 120W-or-higher GaN charger is the appropriate category to investigate for a 10 Ultra-style use case when one laptop and several smaller devices must charge from an outlet. A specific competing model or affiliate offer should be verified for the destination market because prices, plugs, certifications and availability change by region.

When a wall charger is better than any power bank

Choose the wall-charger route when you are usually near an outlet, need to charge several devices overnight or during desk work, and do not want to carry 600g or more of battery. Choose a power bank when the defining requirement is continued charging during travel, commuting, flights or outages. Many buyers need both: a high-output wall charger to refill the battery and a portable bank for use away from the desk.

Price, availability and buying checks

Bottom-line recommendations

  • Best all-round portable replacement: Anker Prime Power Bank A1340, for its 250W total-output ceiling, two USB-C ports, 140W laptop capability and high recharge input.
  • Best for protocol-matched speed: Xiaomi 212W HyperCharge Power Bank 25000, if your devices support the required charging modes and you understand its port-sharing combinations.
  • Best travel and troubleshooting pick: UGREEN Nexode Power Bank 25000mAh 200W, when a 90Wh-class battery, USB-C laptop support and a live power display matter.
  • Best value-oriented single-device choice: CUKTECH 25 Power Bank SE, when the integrated cable and fast one-device charging outweigh its weak multi-device behavior.
  • For the CUKTECH 10 Ultra category: compare high-output GaN wall chargers by port profiles and allocation tables; do not substitute a portable battery unless you specifically need stored energy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the CUKTECH 10 Ultra a power bank?

No. CUKTECH catalogs the 10 Ultra as a “Power Charger,” which places it in the wall-charger category. It needs an outlet and does not replace a battery pack for off-grid charging.

Can a 250W power bank charge any laptop at 250W?

No. The laptop, cable and power bank must negotiate a compatible USB-C Power Delivery profile, and the laptop’s own input limit caps its draw. A 250W specification is a maximum total-output rating, not a universal per-device guarantee.

Why can a power bank’s advertised wattage drop when I plug in a second device?

The battery reallocates power among its active ports. Manufacturers publish different multi-port combinations, so the available output can change as soon as another device is connected.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Are 90Wh and 90.8Wh batteries automatically allowed on flights?

No. Those figures describe stored energy; airline, airport and route rules determine whether and how a battery may be carried. Check the carrier’s current policy before traveling.
