Important limitations
At more than 8 lb, the Stratos is substantially heavier than the Samsung Jet 75 and can feel tiring for overhead cleaning. RTINGS reports a recharge time of nearly four hours, so plan charging between sessions. Storage options are limited, and the floorhead can struggle on thick-pile rugs.
RTINGS also found that its hard-floor pickup advantage over a Dyson twin-roller comparison was not clearly large enough to justify the extra maintenance complexity. That does not make the Stratos poor on hard floors; it means the additional roller arrangement should not be treated as an automatic reason to buy it.

Samsung Jet 75: the allergy-focused alternative

Do not infer that a £480 UK Shark bundle is equivalent to a $500 US IZ862H package, or that the £1,199 Samsung listing is the same contents as the US Bespoke AI Jet Ultra. Retail bundles, batteries and accessories can differ.
Hoover HF3 DynamicClean: a lightweight budget route
TechRadar reports that the Hoover HF3 DynamicClean weighs 2.54 kg. It handled everyday dust, crumbs and pet hair in the cited assessment, making it a useful option when low carrying weight matters more than premium construction.
The trade-offs are shorter battery life and lower build quality than more expensive alternatives. - Map your floors. If thick-pile carpet covers much of the home, remove the Samsung Jet 75 from the front of your shortlist because its high-pile result trails the Miele Duoflex HX1. If floors are mostly hard or low-pile, weight and dust handling can matter more.
- Count the pets and the cleaning frequency. For several pets or frequent fur cleanup, start with the Miele Duoflex HX1. Its small bin means you should be comfortable emptying it often.

Do not treat maximum runtime as normal runtime
The 63-minute Shark and 61-minute Samsung figures are maximum battery-life results from RTINGS’ 2026 tests. Motorized heads and higher suction draw more power. If you need to clean a large home in one pass, look for the exact battery configuration sold in your market.
Account for emptying frequency
The Miele’s small dirt compartment is a known inconvenience. Conversely, a self-emptying dock adds equipment that must be kept clean and supplied with whatever dust container or filter the local model requires. Verify those consumables before purchase.
Inspect brush-roll maintenance claims
