The strongest clearly documented 8K wireless choices are the Razer Viper V4 Pro and Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 family. The ASUS ROG Keris II Ace may also qualify, but ASUS’s global and US specifications disagree about its wireless polling maximum, so verify the exact regional model before buying. An 8,000 Hz maximum is a capability—not proof that you will play better—and battery life can fall sharply at that setting.

Best 8K wireless gaming mice at a glance

Mouse 8K wireless status Weight and shape Manufacturer-listed battery life What to check
Razer Viper V4 Pro Up to 8,000 Hz wireless and wired About 49 g in black or 50 g in white; right-handed symmetrical shape Up to 180 hours at 1,000 Hz; up to 45 hours at 8,000 Hz Choose the polling rate with battery life in mind.
Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 Up to 8,000 Hz report rate 60 g Up to 95 hours Confirm receiver, software and configuration support for the rate you intend to use.
Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 DEX Up to 8 kHz wireless 60 g; asymmetrical, right-handed shape Up to 95 hours Choose it for its different hand fit, not because the shape guarantees better control.
ASUS ROG Keris II Ace Global ASUS page: up to 8,000 Hz wireless; US page: up to 4,000 Hz wireless and 8,000 Hz wired 54 g, as stated on the US page Global page: 107 hours with lighting off or 67 hours with default lighting on, in 2.4 GHz RF mode Verify the exact regional SKU and included receiver; the cited ASUS pages conflict on wireless maximum.

These are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements. Razer’s figures come from its Viper V4 Pro specifications; Logitech’s from its PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 and PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 DEX product pages; and ASUS’s from its global and US product pages.

Which 8K mouse should you choose?

Razer Viper V4 Pro: the clearest all-round 8K wireless specification

Razer explicitly lists up to 8,000 Hz over both wireless and wired connections. Its right-handed symmetrical body is the lightest option in this comparison at approximately 49 g for black or 50 g for white. The main trade-off is endurance: Razer rates it for up to 180 hours at 1,000 Hz but up to 45 hours at 8,000 Hz. Those are manufacturer maximums, not a promise of identical runtime for every user.

Razer’s March 24, 2026 announcement quotes Lee “Faker” Sang-Hyeok, a six-time League of Legends World Champion, calling the mouse responsive for high-stakes matches. That is an athlete endorsement, not a controlled comparison or independent evidence that it improves competitive results. Razer also reports its own latency figures in the announcement; treat them as company performance claims, not third-party measurements. Razer’s announcement

Logitech PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2: a symmetric 60 g option

Logitech lists up to 8,000 Hz report rate and up to 95 hours of battery life for the standard PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2. At 60 g, it is heavier than the Viper V4 Pro on the listed specifications, but weight alone does not determine which mouse feels easier to control. Check the exact model configuration and that its receiver and software support the polling rate you plan to use.

Logitech’s listed package includes a receiver and USB-A-to-USB-C cable, and the product page describes PTFE feet. Confirm the contents for the version sold in your region rather than assuming every listing has the same bundle.

Logitech PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 DEX: a right-handed shape alternative

The DEX keeps the listed 60 g weight and up to 95-hour battery claim while using an asymmetrical, right-handed shape. It is the natural Logitech alternative to consider if that contour suits your hand better than a symmetrical shell. Shape fit is personal, so look for a return policy or try the mouse in person if possible.

ASUS ROG Keris II Ace: verify wireless 8K in your region

ASUS’s global product page lists up to 8,000 Hz wireless polling. Its US page instead lists up to 4,000 Hz wirelessly and 8,000 Hz wired. Because this changes whether the mouse meets a wireless-8K requirement, do not rely on the model name alone: check the local listing, exact SKU and receiver configuration before purchase. The US page lists a 54 g weight; the global page gives up to 107 hours with lighting off or 67 hours with default lighting on in 2.4 GHz RF mode.

Is an 8K polling mouse worth it for competitive gaming?

It can be worth considering if you specifically want the option of a high report rate and your computer and game workload can use it. At 8,000 reports per second, the nominal interval between reports is 0.125 milliseconds. That describes the reporting interval; it is not a measurement of total click-to-screen delay, nor does it establish that a player will notice the difference or perform better.

The cited manufacturer specifications establish product capabilities and battery claims, but do not establish a universal, perceptible gameplay advantage or a controlled improvement in competitive outcomes. Prioritize the shape and grip that let you aim consistently, then consider weight, receiver compatibility and battery life. If the 8K setting adds little value in your setup, a lower polling rate may be a more practical everyday choice.

Does 8,000 Hz polling drain battery faster?

The available figures show that battery life can be substantially lower at a higher polling rate, though the size of the change varies by model and test conditions. Razer lists up to 180 hours at 1,000 Hz and up to 45 hours at 8,000 Hz for the Viper V4 Pro. ASUS lists lighting-dependent battery figures for 2.4 GHz RF mode, but the cited figure does not specify an 8K wireless condition; do not treat it as an 8K runtime estimate. Logitech lists up to 95 hours for each PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 model without tying that number on the cited pages to a polling rate.

What to check before buying

  • Wireless, not just wired: Confirm that the listed 8K maximum applies wirelessly. ASUS’s cited US page separates its 4,000 Hz wireless and 8,000 Hz wired figures.
  • Receiver and configuration: Check whether the required receiver is included and whether the exact model, receiver and software support the target rate.
  • Regional SKU: Product pages and bundles can differ by market. This matters especially for the Keris II Ace.
  • Shape and grip: Compare the Viper’s right-handed symmetrical shell with the DEX’s asymmetrical right-handed design; neither is universally best.
  • Battery at your intended setting: Maximum battery figures may apply at a lower polling rate or under specific lighting and wireless conditions. Look for a rate-specific figure before assuming runtime.
  • Your PC and game: Consider whether your system and workload benefit from the higher setting; the polling-rate number alone is not a competitive outcome.
