The 2025 ASUS TUF Gaming T500 is a compact gaming desktop that pairs an Intel H-series processor originally designed for laptops with a discrete NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics card. ASUS lists configurations with a Core i5-13420H or Core i7-13620H and up to an RTX 5060 Ti. That hybrid design is a specification choice—not evidence that the T500 outperforms a conventional desktop.
What makes the TUF Gaming T500 a hybrid desktop?
ASUS announced the TUF Gaming T500 on May 2, 2025, as a compact gaming PC. Its unusual combination is a mobile-class Intel H-series CPU and a separate desktop graphics card. ASUS says the Core i7-13620H was originally designed for the power-efficiency requirements of a laptop form factor. The processor choice therefore reflects a different design approach from a desktop built around a conventional desktop-class CPU.
ASUS says the T500’s chassis offers more room for cooling than a laptop, and describes custom heatsinks, copper heatpipes, and a 90 mm fan. Those are manufacturer descriptions, not independent measurements of temperature, noise, power draw, or performance. The available specifications do not establish how the T500 performs against a similarly priced conventional desktop.
Which CPU and graphics card does it have?
The exact components depend on the configuration and market. ASUS’s global announcement lists the following ceilings and options:

|---|---|---|
| CPU | Intel Core i5-13420H or Core i7-13620H | Confirm the specific processor; not every unit has the i7. |
| GPU | Up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti | Check the exact GPU and graphics memory capacity for the SKU and region. |
| Memory | Up to 64GB DDR5 | Confirm the included capacity. The maximum is not necessarily the base configuration. |
| Storage | Up to 2TB PCIe 4.0 | Confirm the included SSD capacity and whether any M.2 slot is free. |
ASUS’s US announcement names two launch configurations: an i5-13420H with an RTX 5060 Ti with 8GB of graphics memory, and an i7-13620H with an RTX 5060 Ti with 16GB. Those are dated US launch configurations, not a guarantee that every region or current retailer has the same options. See ASUS’s global announcement and ASUS USA’s announcement for the published configuration details.
What are the T500’s size, expansion, and connectivity specifications?
ASUS’s US specification table lists two SO-DIMM memory slots and two M.2 SSD slots. The stated maximums do not tell you how many slots are occupied in a particular retail configuration, so check the exact SKU before planning an upgrade.

How should you assess a T500 listing?
The published specifications explain what the T500 is, but they do not establish whether it is a good value at today’s local price. Before comparing it with another gaming PC, verify the full retail SKU and compare:
- CPU model against the kinds of games and other workloads you run.
- Exact GPU and graphics-memory capacity, rather than relying on the RTX 5060 Ti name alone.
- Included RAM, and which SO-DIMM slots are occupied.
- Included SSD capacity, and whether either M.2 slot is free.
- Chassis dimensions and any independent evidence about cooling and noise.
- Current local price, availability, and warranty terms.
The ASUS materials cited here do not provide independent benchmark comparisons or measured noise and temperature results. Treat claims about desktop-level performance or cooler, quieter operation as marketing unless a separate, relevant test supports them.

Is the TUF Gaming TM500 the same PC?
No. ASUS announced the TUF Gaming TM500 on January 6, 2026, as a separate model family with a different published component set. Its announcement lists optional Ryzen 7 260 or Ryzen 5 220 processors, Radeon RX 9060 XT or GeForce RTX 5060 graphics, up to 64GB DDR5-5600 memory, up to 1TB PCIe 4.0 storage, and a 330W TFX power supply. Those specifications belong to the TM500, not the 2025 T500. See ASUS’s TM500 announcement.
