Arjun Das confirmed that he met Farhan Akhtar and discussed Don 3, but said the project they discussed is not moving ahead for him now. He did not announce that he had signed on or been officially cast. The Times of India separately reported that Das was set to play the villain; that role was not confirmed in Das’s quoted remarks.

Das added that he hoped to work with Akhtar in the future, and said, “It was supposed to happen, but now it’s not happening.” His remarks establish that a conversation took place, not that he was formally cast or that a deal was completed.
Was Arjun Das confirmed as Don 3’s villain?
No. The Times of India report published October 3, 2026 said Das was reportedly set to play the villain. That is the outlet’s reporting, not a role announcement in the statements attributed to Das. The available reports do not establish a finalized replacement cast.

How the Don 3 situation reached this point
Don 3 had been expected to star Ranveer Singh. Hindustan Times reported that Singh exited in December 2025 and described the film’s status as uncertain. Subsequent disagreement and compensation claims have also been reported, but the accounts are attributed to media reports rather than presented as established legal or financial findings.
In April 2026, Akhtar told The Hollywood Reporter India, in remarks quoted by Hindustan Times and India Today: “What I’ve learned is to expect the unexpected. Nothing can be taken for granted until you actually have it on film. That’s really what it is.”

Has another actor been chosen?
The reports cited here do not confirm a replacement for Singh. Hrithik Roshan also rejected speculation that he had been approached. In February 2026, he said, as reported by India Today: “I would like to categorically clarify that I was never approached for Don 3 at any given time.”
As of the October 3, 2026 reports, Das’s comments describe talks that did not proceed, while the film’s broader status and casting remain unsettled. They do not establish that production has been cancelled.
