Apple is reportedly preparing two October product-launch groupings, but that does not mean it will hold two formal events. Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman’s reporting, as relayed by MacRumors and 9to5Mac, points to a home-device announcement on October 13 and a separate product window in the final week of October. The second window’s date, lineup and format remain unknown, and Apple’s confirmation is not established in the cited reporting.
What is reported for October?
| Window | Reported focus | Evidence and format |
|---|---|---|
| October 13 | A screen-equipped smart-home hub, a new HomePod mini and an updated Apple TV | Bloomberg/Mark Gurman reporting, relayed by MacRumors and 9to5Mac. Gurman described this as an event; Apple confirmation is not established. MacRumors; 9to5Mac |
| Final week of October | Additional products, with Macs among the possibilities | MacRumors cites multiple unnamed sources for a late-month unveiling. It does not identify an exact date, confirmed product list or format. MacRumors; 9to5Mac |
Does Apple have two October events?
Not on the evidence available. The October 13 launch has been described as an event by Gurman, as reproduced by 9to5Mac: “Apple is planning to hold an event on Oct. 13 to unveil its long-awaited smart home hub with a screen, the new HomePod mini and an updated Apple TV. All three devices will have Siri AI at the core.” That is a journalist’s report, not an official Apple announcement. 9to5Mac’s report of Gurman’s statement
The late-October report says products may be unveiled, but does not say Apple will stage another live presentation. Product announcements can be made in other formats, such as videos or press releases; the second format has not been specified. Macworld cautions against treating two announcement windows as proof of two full events. Macworld
Which products might appear?
October 13: home devices
The reported lineup is a new screen-equipped smart-home hub, a HomePod mini update and an Apple TV update. Gurman’s quoted description says Siri AI will be central to all three, but Apple has not confirmed the products or their final features in the cited reports. The Apple TV 4K is an existing product family; references to an updated Apple TV concern a rumored future model, not a claim that a new version is already available. 9to5Mac

Final week: possible Macs, not a confirmed MacBook Ultra launch
MacRumors lists a MacBook Ultra with an OLED display and thinner, lighter design, a base 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M6 chip, and an M6 iMac as plausible candidates for the late-October window. Those are possibilities, not a confirmed lineup. The report does not establish an exact announcement date or say which, if any, of these models will be unveiled. MacRumors
