The later group could include Macs, but Apple has not confirmed the dates or the rumored product list, and the reports do not establish that the final wave will be “the best.”
When is Apple’s next October launch?
MacRumors reported on October 5 that Apple may announce home products around Tuesday, October 13, and that multiple sources familiar with the matter pointed to more products in the final week of October. These are reported windows, not dates confirmed by Apple. The reports do not say whether either wave will arrive through a live event or press releases.
Apple has used both formats in October before: recent examples include the 2023 “Scary Fast” Mac event and multi-day Mac press releases in 2024. That history makes an October launch plausible, but it does not confirm Apple’s 2026 schedule. MacRumors’ September 22 overview of October launch precedents provides context, not evidence that a specific product is coming.
What Apple products are reportedly coming in October 2026?
Possible announcements around October 13
The reported home-product slate includes a new home hub, a HomePod mini, and an Apple TV 4K refresh. MacRumors attributed the October 13 timing to Mark Gurman’s reporting; 9to5Mac’s October 6 roundup also described the home products as expected or rumored. Neither account makes these announcements official. MacRumors’ October 5 report and 9to5Mac’s October 6 roundup outline the reported slate.

Possible products in the final week
Macs are the most prominent candidates for the later window, but the exact products are unknown. MacRumors named rumored “MacBook Ultra” models, a base 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M6 chip, and an M6 iMac as possibilities. These are not a confirmed list of products Apple will announce.
MacRumors separately said a high-end Mac Studio configuration with an M5 Ultra chip and 512GB of RAM had previously been announced for “late October.” That is a specific timing detail cited by the report; it should not be treated as confirmation that the Mac Studio belongs to the unconfirmed final-week list.

iPad mini timing remains open
A new iPad mini is another October candidate, but the reporting does not place it in either window. It could be announced alongside the home products, with Macs, or at another point in October, according to MacRumors.
What about the iPhone Duo dates?
9to5Mac reported that iPhone Duo preorders open October 16 and first deliveries begin October 23. Those dates are attributed to that outlet’s October 6 roundup; they do not confirm the rumored timing or identities of the other October products.

Should you wait for a MacBook Pro?
If your current Mac meets your needs, waiting until the reported final-week window passes could give you a clearer choice. If you need a computer sooner, do not treat an unannounced model as a reason to delay essential work: the reports do not confirm that a new MacBook Pro will appear, and they provide no verified price or final specification.
Make the decision against your own situation:
- Check the status: Apple has not confirmed the rumored MacBook Pro models or October dates.
- Weigh the wait: The possible later window is in the final week of October, but that timing is reported rather than official.
- Identify the change you need: A rumored M6 chip or a possible redesigned high-end model matters only if its eventual features address a real need.
- Compare after announcement: Wait for Apple to publish specifications, price, and availability before deciding whether a new model is a better fit than a currently available Mac.
The same approach applies to the Apple TV 4K, HomePod mini, and iPad mini: coverage of a possible refresh is not confirmation that it is available to buy. In particular, an Apple TV 4K listing you find now may refer to the current model, not the rumored refresh.

How much confidence should you place in the launch slate?
The October reports are useful as a watchlist, not a calendar. They support two broad expected windows and name several possible products, but Apple has not confirmed the schedule or the product identities described above. The phrase “save the best for last” is therefore an editorial hook: Macs may feature in the later wave, but no report establishes which products will launch or ranks them as Apple’s best of the month.
