The available official information does not confirm direct PS5 Remote Play or Xbox Cloud Gaming support on Vision Pro, so claims that both work should be treated cautiously.
What works on Apple Vision Pro?
The best-documented route is Valve’s Steam Link app. It streams video and audio from a computer running Steam to the headset; the PC or Mac runs the game, rather than Vision Pro running the PC game itself. This is a local-computer streaming setup, not a cloud gaming service. Valve describes how Steam Remote Play streams from a host computer.
Apple’s current App Store listing requires Apple Vision Pro with visionOS 26.0 or later, a computer running Steam on Windows, Mac, or Linux, and both devices on the same local network. The listing says to connect to the computer, pair a controller, and play games already in the Steam library. See the Steam Link App Store listing for its requirements.
How to set up Steam Link
- Check the headset: confirm it is running visionOS 26.0 or later.
- Prepare the host: install and run Steam on a Windows, Mac, or Linux computer, and make sure the games you want to play are available in its Steam library.
- Connect both devices: put the computer and Vision Pro on the same local network. Valve recommends connecting the computer to the router with Ethernet and using the highest-bandwidth Wi-Fi band available to the headset.
- Install Steam Link: download the Vision Pro version from the App Store, open it, and follow its connection steps to find and connect to the computer running Steam.
- Pair a controller: connect a compatible controller and start a game through Steam Link.
Valve’s network guidance is a recommendation, not a guarantee of smooth performance. Wi-Fi quality, router distance, and the host computer’s connection can affect the experience; the App Store listing advises staying within reasonable range of the router.

Can you play PS5 on Apple Vision Pro?
The official sources available here do not establish direct PS5 Remote Play support on Vision Pro. Sony’s PS5 cloud-streaming information describes selected games streamed to PS5 and PlayStation Portal, not to Apple Vision Pro. Apple’s announcements about accessing PC and console games through Steam Link do not document a Sony Remote Play app for the headset.
That does not establish that no third-party workaround exists; it means direct PS5-to-Vision-Pro support is not confirmed by the cited official information. Do not assume the PS5 console can connect straight to the headset through a supported native app.

Does Xbox Cloud Gaming work on Vision Pro?
Microsoft’s Xbox Cloud Gaming getting-started guide, dated December 19, 2025, describes browser access on macOS, iOS, and iPadOS through xbox.com/play. It calls for a compatible device, stable internet, a supported browser, and a cloud-supported Game Pass subscription. The guide does not name visionOS or Apple Vision Pro, so it is not confirmation that the service works on the headset.
Opening Xbox’s website in Vision Pro’s browser may be something a user can try, but the available information does not verify that path or its controls and performance. Xbox subscription tiers, game catalogs, and supported devices can change.

Can you use an Xbox or PlayStation controller?
Apple lists PlayStation and Xbox controllers among Bluetooth accessories that can be used with Vision Pro, but warns that compatibility with third-party accessories is not guaranteed. Check the specific controller model and the game or app before relying on it. Apple’s guidance is in Use Bluetooth accessories with your Apple Vision Pro.
Apple’s June 2024 announcement also named DualSense and Xbox Wireless controllers as compatible inputs in its gaming context; that announcement is historical, so it should not replace checking current app and controller compatibility. See Apple’s June 2024 Vision Pro announcement.

For a setup with the strongest documented Vision Pro support, choose Steam Link and a computer that can run your games. Xbox cloud play and PS5 streaming should not be treated as confirmed Vision Pro features on the basis of the official information cited here.
