Verdict: The Anker PowerHouse 767 is a powerful 2,048Wh portable power station best suited to RVs, vans, campsites, mobile work and outage backup. Its 2,400W AC inverter, rapid AC charging, 100W USB-C ports, 20ms UPS mode and wheeled chassis make it unusually capable. The compromises are substantial weight, fan noise during heavy operation and the cost of a large battery. Independent tests delivered about 1.77–1.80kWh through the AC outlet, so plan runtimes from usable energy rather than the 2,048Wh headline figure.
What the Anker PowerHouse 767 is
The PowerHouse 767 is Anker’s large, lithium-based portable power station with a stated 2,048Wh cell capacity. In several markets, the same platform is sold under the newer name Anker SOLIX F2000. The exact product name, AC voltage, continuous-output rating, charging limit and warranty can vary by region, so check the label and local product page before buying accessories or connecting it to household equipment.
This is not a small emergency power bank. At approximately 30.5kg (67lb) and 52.5 × 25.0 × 39.5cm, it is a wheeled battery appliance. The telescoping trolley handle and wheels make movement across a floor or campsite practical, but lifting it into a vehicle or carrying it upstairs requires real strength.

How much energy do you really get?
The 2,048Wh number describes the battery cells. The inverter, battery-management electronics and cabling consume some energy before power reaches an AC appliance. Two independent tests show what that means in practice: Computer Bild measured 1.774kWh of removable capacity, while Notebookcheck drew approximately 1,800Wh through the AC socket at a load of about 250W before shutdown. Those results are roughly 87–88% of the nominal figure under their stated conditions.

Notebookcheck also reported around 60 hours with a 30W load. That is a useful low-power reference, not a guarantee for every device. Runtime changes with load size, power factor, inverter overhead, temperature, battery age and whether you use AC, USB or DC outputs. AC operation generally loses more energy than a directly connected USB or DC device because it requires the inverter.
Estimating runtime for your equipment
For a quick planning estimate, divide usable energy in watt-hours by the appliance’s average watt draw:
runtime in hours ≈ usable watt-hours ÷ average watts

A 100W average load would therefore be planned at roughly 17 hours before allowing for additional variation. A 30W load would be expected to run for about 59 hours on that simple estimate, close to Notebookcheck’s approximately 60-hour result. Real appliances cycle: a refrigerator may draw a high starting surge and then switch its compressor on and off, while a laptop’s consumption varies with screen brightness and workload.

Measure the appliance’s average draw with a plug-in watt meter when possible. For a refrigerator, record several hours rather than relying on the compressor’s nameplate; include door openings and the room temperature you expect during an outage. For a laptop, include charging losses and the monitor or dock if they share the station.
Can it run a refrigerator, microwave or power tool?
The 2,400W maximum AC output gives the 767 enough headroom for many household and workshop loads, but wattage alone does not answer whether a device will start. Motors and compressors can demand a brief surge above their running draw. Check both the appliance’s continuous rating and its start-up requirement against the regional 767 specifications.
- Refrigerator or freezer: Often practical if the running and start-up demands fit the inverter. Expect cycling and a shorter effective runtime than a steady-load calculation suggests.
- Microwave, kettle or toaster: These are high-wattage resistive loads. They may operate individually, but running several at once can exceed 2,400W.
- Hair dryer, heater or hot plate: They consume energy quickly; the station can power a suitable unit, but battery duration may be short.
- Power tools: Verify the motor’s starting surge. A saw or compressor that overloads the inverter may shut the output down.
- Air conditioner: Portable units can have substantial start-up and continuous demands. Confirm the exact model’s requirements rather than assuming the 767 will run it.
Do not connect the station to a home circuit through an improvised back-feed cable. Household backup wiring requires a properly installed transfer device and a qualified electrician.

Charging speed: AC, solar and combined setups
AC charging
Anker’s manual specifies up to 1,440W AC charging. In Computer Bild’s regional test setup, a full recharge took 85 minutes while the station accepted as much as 2,145W. Because that measured input exceeds the manual figure cited for the reviewed documentation, treat it as a market- and setup-specific result rather than a universal charging promise. Your wall voltage, firmware, temperature and regional charger can change the result.

Fast AC charging is valuable after a short outage or when moving between campsites. It also means the station can draw substantial power from a circuit; avoid sharing a lightly rated extension lead or overloaded household outlet.
Solar charging
The stated solar-input ceiling is 1,000W. The manual describes connecting up to five Anker 531 200W panels. Panel voltage, current, connector arrangement and the station’s input window must all match; five panels are not automatically appropriate in every region or wiring configuration. Sun angle, shading, clouds, panel temperature and cable length determine the power actually received, so a 1,000W rating is a ceiling, not an expected constant.
Before ordering panels, confirm the local version of the 767, the permitted input voltage and current, whether the intended panels are electrically compatible, and whether a bundle includes the necessary adapters. Never exceed the input limits printed in the current manual.

Anker lists compatible expansion batteries for the platform, including the Anker 760 Expansion Battery. Expansion increases stored energy for longer low- or medium-power operation; it does not turn the inverter into a higher-wattage model. The maximum AC output remains the limit of the main power station, and added battery weight reduces portability. Confirm that the expansion battery model, connector, firmware and regional 767 variant match before purchase.

UPS behavior and outage use
The 767 includes a UPS function with a stated 20ms transfer time. In UPS mode, connected equipment normally runs from utility power and switches to the battery when utility power fails. That transfer is fast enough for many desktop computers, displays, routers and network-attached devices, but it is not a blanket guarantee for every server, medical device or motor controller.
- Connect the station to a properly grounded wall outlet and allow it to reach the required charge level.
- Plug the computer, monitor, router or other protected load into the station’s AC output.
- Enable UPS or the corresponding backup mode using the station’s controls or app, following the regional manual.
- Test by removing wall power while observing the equipment. Save work first and confirm that the device remains stable before trusting it unattended.
- Check the station periodically; a UPS consumes energy even when the connected load is small, and firmware or settings can affect behaviour.
For a refrigerator or other compressor load, UPS mode is less important than surge compatibility and safe restart behaviour. Use a dedicated test before an outage exposes a problem.
Portability, controls and operating noise
The 767’s physical design is its main portability advantage. Notebookcheck found the trolley handle and wheels substantially easier than carrying the unit. On level ground, one person can roll it like luggage; loading it into a car still involves lifting a 30.5kg object. Plan a two-person lift for stairs, uneven terrain or a high vehicle cargo floor.

At low output, Notebookcheck found the station nearly silent in its test. Cooling fans become audible as output or charging power rises. Computer Bild measured a maximum of 55.7dB(A) during high-power operation or rapid charging. That is noticeable in a quiet room and can be intrusive beside a bed or desk, although fan activity will vary with ambient temperature and load.

What independent testing says
| Test source and year | Finding | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| Notebookcheck, 2023 | About 1,800Wh delivered through AC at roughly 250W; around 60 hours at 30W; nearly silent at low output; wheels and handle made transport easier. | Useful evidence of real AC energy and low-load behaviour under one test setup. |
| Computer Bild, 2023 | 1.774kWh removable capacity; 85-minute full recharge in its regional setup; up to 55.7dB(A) measured noise. | Shows conversion loss, fast charging and peak acoustic output, but results are not universal guarantees. |
| GearJunkie, 2023 | Used the station in a van with a blender, coffee machine, monitor, toaster and air fryer; reviewer Riley Marshall said it “could effectively replace the electrical system in my van.” | A reviewer’s assessment of a specific van setup, not a promise that every vehicle can be powered indefinitely. |
Best uses and important trade-offs
Where the 767 fits well
- RV and van travel: High output supports kitchen appliances, tools and electronics without immediately running a generator.
- Camping and events: The large battery can support several people’s devices and occasional high-draw equipment, while wheels simplify transport.
- Mobile work: A laptop, monitor, networking gear and lighting can run for extended periods, with 100W USB-C useful for compatible notebooks.
- Home outage backup: It can keep selected circuits or appliances running when used correctly, especially when paired with solar or an expansion battery.
Where another design may be better
- Frequent stair carrying: At 30.5kg, it is heavy even before cables and panels are added.
- Silent-room operation: Peak fan noise of 55.7dB(A) is not appropriate for everyone sleeping nearby.
- Backpacking or short trips: Smaller stations are easier to lift when 2kWh capacity and 2,400W output are unnecessary.
- Power-to-weight priorities: Newer 2kWh-class models may offer different output, battery chemistry, cycle claims or chassis designs; compare measured usable energy and weight, not only headline watt-hours.
How to choose between the 767 and another 2kWh station
Compare the following fields for the exact regional models available to you:
| Decision factor | Why it matters | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Usable AC energy | Determines real runtime. | Independent measurements or a clearly defined usable-capacity figure. |
| Continuous and surge output | Determines which appliances start and run. | Both values, plus regional voltage and frequency. |
| AC recharge time | Controls how quickly the station can return to service. | Input wattage, circuit requirements and whether the figure is a test result or a maximum. |
| Solar input | Determines off-grid recovery speed. | Voltage/current window, connector type and maximum wattage. |
| Battery and cycle information | Indicates expected longevity. | Chemistry, stated cycle count and test conditions; do not assume two brands’ claims are directly comparable. |
| Weight, wheels and handle | Determines whether one person can move it. | Total mass with expansion batteries and the terrain where it will be used. |
| Noise | Affects bedrooms, offices and campsites. | Measured low-load and peak figures, not just an “工quiet” marketing label. |
| UPS transfer time | Determines suitability for sensitive electronics. | Transfer specification and compatibility testing with your equipment. |
| Warranty and app support | Affects long-term ownership. | Local warranty length, service terms, firmware support and app availability. |
| Expansion | Determines whether capacity can grow later. | Compatible battery models, maximum number and regional availability. |
Warranty, lifespan and ownership expectations
Anker says its InfiniPower-equipped power stations are designed to last for over a decade with everyday use and include an industry-leading five-year warranty. That statement and warranty are subject to the market’s terms, exclusions and registration requirements. Confirm the warranty period for your country, who provides service, and whether expansion batteries carry the same coverage.
Large lithium batteries age faster when stored hot, left at extreme charge levels for long periods or repeatedly operated at their maximum output. Follow the current manual for storage charge, temperature limits and inspection. Keep the station dry, avoid damaged cables, and stop using it if the enclosure swells, overheats, smells unusual or shows physical damage.
Setup checklist before relying on it
- Verify that the product name (PowerHouse 767 or SOLIX F2000), AC voltage and plug match your region.
- Inspect the station, wheels, handle, charging cable and output ports for shipping damage.
- Charge it fully from a suitable wall outlet, then install any available firmware update through the official control method.
- Measure the real watt draw of the refrigerator, computer, medical equipment or tools you intend to run.
- Test each critical load separately, including motor start-up and UPS changeover where relevant.
- Label cables and keep the manual, adapters and emergency contact information with the station.
- Store it in a cool, dry, ventilated location where a 30.5kg device can be rolled out safely.
Is the Anker PowerHouse 767 worth it?
It is a strong choice when you need a genuinely large battery, high AC output, rapid wall charging and wheels. The measured 1.774–1.80kWh of AC-delivered energy is enough for long low-power sessions and meaningful outage support, while 2,400W allows many demanding appliances to run individually. Solar input up to 1,000W and compatible expansion batteries make it more useful for extended off-grid stays.
Buy it only if you have a plan for its mass and noise. Someone who must carry a station upstairs, sleep beside it while it is charging, or maximize watt-hours per kilogram may prefer a newer or smaller design. Also verify the local name, price, stock, warranty and specifications: the PowerHouse 767 and SOLIX F2000 branding, charging figures and availability are market-dependent.
