For damage in the August 2026 Update 5 snapshot, start with Baldy or King of Curses. Leona (Incarnate) [Max Passive], Falcon (Reincarnated), Shanks (Conqueror) [Max Passive], Toejì (Sorcerer Killer) – Spear [Max Passive], Hero Slayer (Monster), and Berserker (Vengeance) make up the rest of the SS damage group. This is an unofficial, date-stamped ranking: Update 5.1 was reported on August 16, 2026, and balance changes, traits, evolutions, and new content can change the order.
What this Anime Final Strike tier list measures
This list separates two questions that are often mixed together: Which units deal the most damage? and Which units are most valuable to a team? The main ranking is damage-first, based on the Update 5 lists published by Beebom on August 13, 2026, and Stealthy Gaming on August 14, 2026. Both publications put the same eight units in SS. A separate Anime Final Strike Wiki snapshot from August 14 uses a role-aware approach, where a unit can reach S tier through damage, area coverage, boss pressure, utility, control, or income.
There is no developer-issued ranking to settle disagreements. A comparison page states that Yappers Studios does not publish an official unit ranking. Treat every placement below as a useful August 2026 snapshot rather than a permanent rule. Forms, evolutions, passive levels, traits, map layouts, and game modes can all change practical performance.

The finite DPS figures are the values Beebom published in 2026. They are not a universal benchmark: the table does not establish the map, enemy defenses, trait rolls, upgrade level, or test conditions behind each number. Use them to understand the published order, not to promise identical damage in every match.

SS tier: the best damage-first units
Baldy
Baldy is the unusual entry at the top of the damage-first list. Beebom displays infinite Attack, Range, Attack Speed, and DPS rather than a normal measured number. That makes Baldy a special-case or uncapped listing. It is reasonable to call Baldy a top priority when your goal is damage, but it is not accurate to present “infinite DPS” as a directly measured result comparable with King of Curses at 18,383.14 DPS.
King of Curses
King of Curses has the highest finite DPS figure in the published table at 18,383.14. If you are choosing one damage carry from the figures that can actually be compared numerically, this is the clearest first choice. The number belongs to Beebom’s 2026 table and should be read as that publication’s Update 5 configuration, not a guaranteed value for every trait, map, or passive state.
Leona (Incarnate) [Max Passive]
Leona (Incarnate) [Max Passive] is listed at 12,426.20 DPS. The Incarnate form and Max Passive qualifier are not optional decoration; they identify the version that earned the placement. An ordinary Leona or an Incarnate copy without the maximum passive should not automatically be assumed to perform at this level.

Falcon (Reincarnated) reaches 10,801.00 DPS in Beebom’s published figures. The Reincarnated evolution is the ranked configuration. Keep that name intact when comparing units, because an unevolved or differently named Falcon is a different investment decision.

Shanks (Conqueror) [Max Passive]
Shanks (Conqueror) [Max Passive] is reported at 10,152.00 DPS. The Conqueror variant supplies the form requirement, while Max Passive identifies the investment level used in the ranking. If you have a lower-passive version, compare the cost of reaching the listed state with the immediate benefit of another unit rather than assuming the same output.
Toejì (Sorcerer Killer) – Spear [Max Passive]
The Spear version of Toejì (Sorcerer Killer) [Max Passive] is listed at 9,105.30 DPS and remains in SS. Stealthy Gaming also places the Katana version, Toejì (Sorcerer Killer) – Katana [Max Passive], in S+, so the weapon variant matters. Do not combine the Spear and Katana entries into one generic Toejì ranking.
Hero Slayer (Monster)
Hero Slayer (Monster) records 8,309.10 DPS in Beebom’s table. Monster is the ranked form, and the figure places it below the other finite SS damage entries while still above the S+ group in the damage-first classification.
Berserker (Vengeance)
Berserker (Vengeance) is listed at 8,201.00 DPS. It has the lowest finite figure among the eight SS entries, but that does not make it a weak unit. “SS” is a tier grouping, not a promise that every member has identical output. Map geometry, target density, enemy movement, and team support can make a lower figure more useful in a particular stage.

S+ units: strong upgrades without published DPS comparisons
Stealthy Gaming places six units in S+: Toejì (Sorcerer Killer) – Katana [Max Passive], Gojoe (Strongest Sorcerer) [Max Passive], Cyborg (Advanced), Naname (Overtime) [Max Passive], Ace (Prisoner) [Max Passive], and Majesty (Actuation). The source does not provide directly comparable DPS values for these entries, so the table above correctly marks their DPS as “not stated.” Their S+ label means they are strong targets for late-game investment in that editorial framework; it does not prove that each one beats every SS unit in raw damage.
Max Passive appears repeatedly in this group. When you compare an S+ unit with an SS unit, compare like with like: a maxed passive against a maxed passive, the intended evolution against the intended evolution, and the same trait quality where possible. A lower-investment copy can be the better short-term choice if it is already usable, while the max-passive version is the better long-term target.
Role-aware alternatives: S and A tiers
Raw DPS is only one way to win a stage. The Anime Final Strike Wiki’s August 14, 2026 snapshot explicitly says that S-tier value can come from DPS, AoE, boss pressure, utility, or income. That makes the following units important alternatives when your roster needs a role rather than another single-target damage carry.

Ichiru Masked, Yuneko, Akoza, Vesh, and Fire Hashira are therefore not “worse” in every situation simply because they are absent from the damage-first SS list. Their S placement answers a broader question about account value. Ulquiora, Sasoke (Hebi), Namu, Ice Admiral, Acu, Zeni, and Black Roku can also be sensible investments when their particular utility, control, income, or coverage solves the stage you are playing.

Why different tier lists disagree
There is no single official list to average. The comparison page describes Beebom’s early Update 5 damage focus, a DomiBlox video that favors a new Ichigo form for overall damage, and another source that favors Ichiru Masked, Yuneko, Akoza, Vesh, and Fire Hashira. These are different comparison axes, not necessarily factual contradictions.
- Raw damage: A list built around DPS will favor King of Curses, Baldy, and the finite-number SS entries.
- Role value: Area damage, boss pressure, control, utility, and income can justify a high placement without a top single-target DPS number.
- Access to the listed state: Max Passive and evolved forms may require more time or resources than a lower-tier unit that is ready now.
- Traits and team composition: A strong trait or a complementary team can make a lower-tier unit outperform its paper ranking in a specific setup.
- New content: Update 5 stages may reward a different mix of range, crowd control, boss damage, or economy than older maps.
Do not average these lists into a fake consensus. First decide whether you are ranking damage, account progression, a particular mode, or a specific role; then use the list that measures that goal.
Upgrade plan by game stage
Early game: use what is strong and available
Stealthy Gaming recommends using strong A- or B-tier units early. This is practical because an immediately deployable unit contributes more than an SS target you cannot yet obtain, evolve, or activate. Build a functional team, learn the maps, and avoid exhausting your resources chasing a perfect end-game form before your account can use it.
Mid game: replace weak B and C units
As your roster grows, replace B- and C-tier units with S- and A-tier options. The goal is not to discard every non-SS unit at once; it is to remove the units that no longer solve a problem. A role-aware S or A unit can be a better replacement than a pure damage unit if your team lacks coverage, control, income, or boss pressure.

Late game: invest in SS and S+
Late-game resources should increasingly go into the SS damage group and the S+ targets. For a damage-first account, the practical priority is Baldy or King of Curses first, followed by the SS forms you can build efficiently. Keep the exact form and passive qualifier in your plan so that “owning the character” does not get confused with owning the ranked version.
End game: finish passives and traits
Stealthy Gaming’s end-game guidance is to focus on max-passive versions and top traits. This is where the tier label becomes a destination rather than a shortcut. A lower-tier unit with the right trait, passive, map, mode, or team composition can remain useful, while an SS unit without its required form or investment may not deliver the published result.
How to choose between two units
- Define the job. Choose raw damage, area coverage, boss pressure, control, utility, or income before looking at the letter tier.
- Check the exact name. Confirm the evolution, weapon variant, and passive qualifier. For example, Toejì (Sorcerer Killer) – Spear [Max Passive] and Toejì (Sorcerer Killer) – Katana [Max Passive] are separate entries.
- Compare evidence on the same axis. King of Curses has a published finite DPS number, while S+ units such as Gojoe (Strongest Sorcerer) [Max Passive] do not have a comparable figure in the cited tables.
- Measure investment distance. If one unit is ready now and another requires a difficult evolution or Max Passive, use the ready unit for progression while working toward the long-term target.
- Test the map requirement. A unit that solves enemy waves, bosses, movement, or economy can be more valuable than a higher paper DPS unit that does not fit the stage.
- Recheck after updates. New traits, balance patches, evolutions, and Update 5 content can change the best choice.
What to expect from future updates
The August 13 and August 14 lists were built from early Update 5 information, while the comparison page reports Update 5.1 on August 16, 2026. That narrow date window is a warning against treating the ranking as permanent. A balance change can alter attack behavior; a new trait can raise a previously overlooked unit; an evolution can split one character into several materially different entries; and a new map can reward utility over raw damage.

Bottom line for Update 5
For a damage-first build, prioritize Baldy as the special-case top listing and King of Curses as the highest published finite-DPS option. The remaining SS group is Leona (Incarnate) [Max Passive], Falcon (Reincarnated), Shanks (Conqueror) [Max Passive], Toejì (Sorcerer Killer) – Spear [Max Passive], Hero Slayer (Monster), and Berserker (Vengeance). Use the S+ group for serious late-game upgrades, but do not treat its unstated DPS as proof of superiority. If your stage needs coverage, control, utility, income, or boss pressure, consider the role-aware S and A units instead. Revisit the list whenever Update 5.1 or a later patch changes forms, traits, passives, or map demands.
