Anime Expeditions’ Summer Siege (Update 2.0) contains nine event units spread across capsules, a difficulty-specific drop, a craftable portal, Bingo, and the Season 2 Battle Pass. The most reliable plan is to open the live Summer Siege panel first, then farm Tidal Siege while you progress the capsule, Bingo, and Battle Pass tracks. Several published details—especially Lightning God’s route, capsule rates, Sovereign’s host rule, and evolution-currency naming—conflict, so the current client tooltip or rate panel takes priority.
All nine Summer Siege units and where they come from
Summer Siege uses event-specific tracks rather than the ordinary banner. The table shows the routes identified for Update 2.0 and the action associated with each one.

Confirm the live event panel before spending anything
Event content can change without the names in a guide changing. Before committing currency or stamina, open the Summer Siege event panel in your current client and inspect the Obtainment, Shop, portal, and rate screens. This is particularly important for Lightning God, whose published routes do not agree, and for Sovereign, where the host requirement is disputed.
- Open the Summer Siege event panel and record the nine units displayed in your client.
- Open each unit’s Obtainment entry. Treat that entry as the active route even if a guide names another stage.
- Open the Summer Shop and note the currency label and capsule price shown today.
- Open the Summer Capsule rate panel before buying. Save a screenshot if you are planning a large purchase, because the percentages in older guides conflict.
- Inspect Sovereign’s Portal tooltip to see whether hosting, joining, or either action can award Sovereign.
- Check the Battle Pass and Bingo pages so their objectives can be completed while you run Tidal Siege.
Summer Capsule units: Head Captain, Rainman, Sand, and Water Mage
Four units share the Summer Capsule pool: Head Captain (Char), Rainman (Forecast), Sand (Alligator), and Water Mage (Scholar). The September 3, 2026 guide from AllThingsHow reports a cost of 100 Sand Dollars for each Summer Capsule. Use that figure as a planning baseline only; the shop’s live price is authoritative if the event has been rebalanced.
How to farm and spend Sand Dollars
- Select Coral Kingdom–Tidal Siege from the Summer Siege activity list.
- Run the stage repeatedly and collect the Sand Dollars credited at the end of each completed run.
- Open the Summer Shop and buy Summer Capsules one at a time until the four capsule units are complete.
- After every purchase, check your collection rather than assuming a duplicate was converted automatically. Stop buying once all four names are marked obtained.
Tidal Siege is the best starting activity because the September guide says it supplies Sand Dollars while also advancing Battle Pass experience and Bingo stamps. That lets one activity progress three tracks instead of forcing separate early grinds.

Why you should not plan around a published percentage
Two 2026 guides publish incompatible capsule tables. NerdsChalk lists Rainman at 0.25%, Water Mage at 1%, Sand at 2.5%, and Head Captain at 5%. AllThingsHow lists Rainman at 1.5%, Water Mage at 15%, Sand at 3.5%, and Head Captain at 0.25%. Because those sets cannot both describe the same active pool, neither should be presented as a settled rate. Read the rate panel attached to the capsule in your client immediately before spending.

The disagreement also changes which unit appears “rare.” Do not stop farming because a guide labels one unit common, and do not calculate a required Sand Dollar total from either table. Your actual requirement is the number of capsules shown by your collection progress and the current shop price.

- Enter Coral Kingdom–Tidal Siege and set the difficulty to Hard Mode.
- During the run, fish up a Sharktooth Conch.
- Activate the conch before the run timer or stage ends. Finding it without activating it does not complete the described route.
- Defeat the resulting boss horde.
- Finish the stage so the event can record the completion and award progress.
If Sharkfang does not appear after a successful run, first verify that the stage was Hard Mode, that the conch was activated before the end condition, and that the boss horde was defeated. A partial run or an unactivated conch should not be treated as a completed unlock.
Sovereign (Djinn): craft the portal, then verify the participation rule
Sovereign comes from Sovereign’s Portal. The common preparation route is to farm Tier 5 materials and craft the portal with four Djinn’s Treasures.
Material farming
Anime Expeditions Hub, an unaffiliated fan site, reports a 4% Tier 5 material drop and a 25-run pity. Those figures are reported data rather than a confirmed developer specification. Use the material counter and pity indicator in your client, if present, to determine whether the current event still uses those values.

- Run the activity that currently lists Tier 5 materials in its rewards.
- Track Djinn’s Treasures until you have four for one portal craft.
- Craft Sovereign’s Portal from the event portal screen.
- Read the portal tooltip immediately before starting. It determines whether hosting, joining as a non-host, or either role can award Sovereign.
- Complete the portal and verify the unit in your collection before crafting another portal.
The host-rule conflict
NerdsChalk and AllThingsHow both report a 2% roll for a non-host participant. A separate fan guide says hosting guarantees Sovereign. Those claims describe materially different strategies, so do not spend four Djinn’s Treasures based on a remembered guide. Follow the current tooltip, and if the tooltip is unclear, host one portal only when the game explicitly labels hosting as the guaranteed method; otherwise use the displayed roll condition.
Kitsune: finish one Bingo board
Kitsune is awarded through Kitsune Bingo rather than a capsule or combat drop. The researched route requires one complete board; one guide calls that board Board #1.
- Open the Kitsune Bingo page from the Summer Siege event interface.
- Review every square on the active board and identify objectives that overlap with Tidal Siege, capsule purchases, or other event activities.
- Complete objectives until every square on one board is filled.
- Claim the completed-board reward on the Bingo page. Filling squares without pressing the claim control may leave Kitsune unawarded.
Because the board is objective-based, begin it before your first major grind. This prevents wasted runs that could have counted toward Bingo stamps or board conditions.

Jester: Season 2 Battle Pass level 50
Jester is the exclusive Season 2 Battle Pass reward. The unlock condition is level 50, followed by a manual claim.
- Open the Season 2 Battle Pass page and confirm that Jester is shown on the reward track.
- Earn Battle Pass experience through the event activities and objectives available in your client.
- Continue until the track reaches level 50.
- Claim the level-50 reward and check your unit collection.
The September guide says Tidal Siege can advance Battle Pass EXP, so running that stage early can progress Jester while you collect Sand Dollars and work on Bingo. Reaching level 50 alone is not the final step if the reward still shows an unclaimed button.
Lightning God (Overcharged): do not trust an old route
Lightning God has the least reliable published route. One guide sends players to the in-game Obtainment panel and current shops; another names Infinite Rose Kingdom–Act 1; a fan guide describes a Charged Dust Secret Portal. These instructions are mutually exclusive enough that a definitive route would risk sending you to the wrong activity.

Use this decision process:
- Open Lightning God’s entry in the current Summer Siege collection or Obtainment panel.
- Follow the activity, shop, or material name displayed there, including any event-specific currency.
- If the panel points to a Secret Portal, open that portal’s tooltip and confirm its material and activation requirements before farming.
- If the panel points to a stage, verify the exact world, act, and difficulty in the current client rather than relying on the Infinite Rose Kingdom–Act 1 reference.
- After meeting the displayed condition, claim or collect the unit and confirm that the collection entry changes state.
Do not assume Villain Invasion or Warriors Saga routes unlock Lightning God or any other Summer Siege unit. Those are earlier update tracks, not substitutes for the current event’s obtainment entries.
An efficient order for completing all nine units
The following order minimizes duplicated effort while leaving the uncertain routes until you can verify them.

- Audit the live client. Confirm Lightning God’s entry, the capsule price and rates, Sovereign’s host rule, and the evolution-currency label.
- Start Tidal Siege. Use the activity to earn Sand Dollars and, according to the September guide, advance Battle Pass EXP and Bingo stamps at the same time.
- Buy capsules. Spend Sand Dollars on Summer Capsules at the current shop price until Head Captain, Rainman, Sand, and Water Mage are all obtained.
- Keep Bingo and Battle Pass active. Complete overlapping objectives during your Tidal Siege and capsule sessions, then finish any remaining squares or missions separately.
- Farm Sovereign materials. Gather Tier 5 materials and four Djinn’s Treasures, then craft only after checking whether the current portal rewards hosts or non-host participants.
- Finish the special routes. Run the Hard Mode conch procedure for Sharkfang and follow the live Lightning God panel. Reserve evolution purchases until the shop confirms their currency and cost.
Evolution materials and currency names: verify before buying
Published guides disagree about the currency used for an evolution material. AllThingsHow’s September 2026 guide states 10,000 Event Coins per evolution material, while another source lists 10,000 Sand Dollars. Because the names imply different spending priorities, inspect the live shop item’s currency icon and price before purchasing. Do not convert a guide’s currency label into a general rule for the event.
Keep a reserve of Sand Dollars until all four capsule units are complete. An evolution purchase made with the wrong currency—or made before the capsule collection is finished—can delay the only route that definitely consumes Sand Dollars.
Common failure points and fixes
- Capsule unit does not appear: Reopen the collection and rate panel, confirm that the purchase was a Summer Capsule rather than a standard banner item, and check whether the result was a duplicate.
- Sharkfang did not unlock: Repeat Coral Kingdom–Tidal Siege on Hard Mode, activate the Sharktooth Conch before the run ends, defeat the boss horde, and complete the stage.
- Sovereign did not drop: Verify the current portal tooltip. A remembered 2% non-host rule may be obsolete if the client now requires hosting, or vice versa.
- Kitsune remains locked: Make sure every square on one board is complete and that the board reward has been claimed.
- Jester is missing at level 50: Return to the Season 2 Battle Pass and press the claim control on the level-50 reward.
- Lightning God route looks different: Trust the current Obtainment panel and shop labels; the conflicting stage and Secret Portal references are not a safe universal route.
- Currency total seems wrong: Check whether the shop calls the currency Sand Dollars or Event Coins. The published evolution prices use both names, so the icon and label in your client decide.
What counts as a complete Summer Siege collection
Your collection is complete only when all nine entries show as obtained: Head Captain (Char), Rainman (Forecast), Sand (Alligator), Water Mage (Scholar), Sharkfang (Abyssal), Sovereign (Djinn), Kitsune, Jester, and Lightning God (Overcharged). Use the collection screen as the final check instead of assuming that a portal clear, a level milestone, or a completed board automatically claimed its unit.
