AMD launched it on August 3, 2023, with a $429 USD suggested etail price.
Is the Radeon PRO W7500 suitable for CAD and workstation use?
It is aimed at professional users running mainstream workloads in architecture, engineering and construction; design and manufacturing; and media and entertainment. AMD bases the card on RDNA 3 and supports it with Radeon Software PRO Edition. Before choosing it, check whether your specific application and version have an appropriate Radeon PRO driver or certification path; a professional GPU label alone does not establish certification for every application.

The W7500 has 28 compute units, 1,792 stream processors, 28 ray accelerators and 56 AI accelerators. AMD rates its FP32 compute performance at 12.2 TFLOPs. It supports hardware ray tracing and includes 32 MB of Infinity Cache.
Does it need an external power connector?
No. AMD specifies 70 W total board power and PCIe-slot power only, with no auxiliary power connector. AMD recommends a minimum 450 W system power supply; that recommendation is not the same as the card’s 70 W board-power figure. The slot-powered design may suit a workstation with limited power connectors, but confirm motherboard slot compatibility and provide adequate chassis airflow.

These are AMD-published specifications. AMD’s datasheet identifies DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR 10, with up to 38.7 Gbit/s, HDR and support for up to 10K60 with DSC. The product page also lists 8K support. Actual display resolution, refresh rate and color depth depend on the monitor, connection and configuration.
What workloads and features does it support?
The card supports AV1 video encoding and decoding, hardware ray tracing, HDR and professional graphics APIs and software through Radeon Software PRO Edition. Those capabilities make it relevant to media work as well as design and engineering, but they do not guarantee a particular application’s performance; no independent benchmark results are established here.
AMD says the W7500 uses 46% less power than the Radeon PRO W6600. That is AMD’s vendor-published comparison, not an independently measured result.

How many monitors can it drive?
The W7500 has four DisplayPort 2.1 outputs, allowing up to four display connections directly to the card. AMD’s datasheet specifies UHBR 10 and support for up to 10K60 with DSC. The number of displays you can use at a particular resolution, refresh rate or color depth depends on the displays and setup; check their input requirements and the card’s configuration guidance before deployment.
What did the W7500 cost at launch, and what does it cost now?
AMD announced the card on August 3, 2023, at a suggested etail price (SEP) of $429 USD. That is its launch price, not a statement of today’s street price. Current pricing and availability vary by retailer and region and require checking a live listing.
Will it fit in your workstation?
The full-height, single-slot card is 216 mm long and uses PCIe 4.0 x8. Check for a compatible motherboard slot and enough chassis clearance for its height and length. Also confirm that your system’s PSU meets AMD’s 450 W minimum recommendation and that the case has suitable airflow for an actively cooled card. Its single-slot width and slot-only power can be useful where space or power connectors are constrained.

Its 8 GB of VRAM is a practical constraint to consider for very large scenes, models or datasets. Workloads that exceed available graphics memory may not suit this card, regardless of its compute features. Check your application’s memory needs and driver support before selecting it.
