Short answer: “Amazon AI Puck” is not a confirmed Amazon product name as of October 20, 2026. Amazon’s documented devices are Bee Frontier, a wearable or clothing clip, and Bee Eclipse, a magnetic phone attachment. For a general-purpose AI gadget, Rabbit R1 is the strongest fit among the products with documented current support. For recording conversations, creating summaries and remembering follow-up tasks, Bee is the better match. Limitless Pendant follows a similar transcription-first model, but its current sales and service status needs verification. Humane AI Pin should not be considered a current purchase because its cloud service ended on February 28, 2025.
Is the Amazon AI Puck real?
There is no confirmed Amazon product called “AI Puck” in the company’s official product announcement available as of October 20, 2026. That announcement names Bee Frontier and Bee Eclipse. Until Amazon publishes a page using the exact AI Puck name, treat references to an Amazon AI Puck as an unresolved naming issue rather than as a separate product.
That distinction matters when comparing prices, features or support. Bee Frontier and Bee Eclipse are real names in Amazon’s materials, but they are not interchangeable with an unverified “Puck” listing. A marketplace seller, social post or search snippet can mislabel one of the Bee devices, describe a prototype, or reuse an informal nickname. Do not pay for an “AI Puck” listing unless the seller can tie it to an Amazon page and a supported account or app.
The practical comparison is therefore between Amazon’s Bee devices, Rabbit R1, Limitless Pendant and the now-discontinued Humane AI Pin.

Choose Rabbit R1 if you want a visible, conversational gadget that attempts actions across websites and apps. Choose Bee Frontier or Bee Eclipse if your priority is turning real-world conversations into searchable memory, summaries, reminders and to-dos. Consider Limitless Pendant only after confirming that its service and sales channel still operate. Exclude Humane AI Pin from a current buying decision.
Amazon Bee Frontier and Bee Eclipse explained
What Bee is designed to do
Amazon describes Bee as “personal AI that remembers what matters from your conversations and turns it into useful insights and reminders.” The central workflow is ambient capture rather than a screen-based chatbot: the device listens to conversations, processes audio in real time, and produces summaries, insights, reminders and to-dos.
That makes Bee closer to a memory and follow-up assistant than to a miniature phone. It is intended for situations such as a meeting where you need action items, a conversation that contains dates or commitments, or a day whose important details you want organized afterward. It is not documented as a replacement for a full web browser, camera assistant or general app-control computer.
Bee Frontier form factor
Amazon says Bee Frontier can be worn on a wrist or clipped to clothing. That gives it two practical placements: a visible wearable for regular use, or a clip that can move between a shirt, jacket or bag. Before relying on it in public, consider whether its microphone position makes nearby people aware that a recording-capable device is present.
Bee Eclipse form factor and battery
Bee Eclipse is a slim device that attaches magnetically to a phone. Amazon’s announcement says it provides more than 21 days of battery life. The phone-mounted design may be easier to carry than a wrist or clothing device, but it also means the accessory remains physically associated with the phone rather than functioning as a fully independent handheld computer.
Audio processing and consent
Amazon states that Bee processes audio in real time and deletes the raw audio. Amazon also says the user is prompted to obtain permission from call participants when recording starts. Those controls reduce the risk of retaining unprocessed recordings, but they do not eliminate the need to follow local recording laws, workplace policy or the expectations of people in the room. A prompt is not a substitute for obtaining meaningful consent.

What is not yet established
The available Amazon announcement does not establish a final subscription schedule, all supported languages, regional availability, exact account requirements or a complete list of integrations. Those details can determine the long-term cost and usefulness of Bee. Confirm them in Amazon’s current product and support pages before ordering.
Rabbit R1: the general-purpose alternative
Hardware and interaction
Tom’s Guide described Rabbit R1 as a pocketable device with an LCD display, a rotatable camera and a push-to-talk button. Unlike a screenless pendant, it gives you a visual interface and a way to frame or inspect what the camera sees. The physical button supports deliberate activation instead of requiring an always-open voice conversation.
What the Large Action Model is for
Rabbit’s Large Action Model is intended to interact with websites and apps. Tom’s Guide gave examples such as travel planning and reservations. This is a fundamentally different promise from Bee’s conversation memory: R1 is trying to carry out multi-step digital tasks, while Bee is trying to remember and organize what people said.
Action-model behavior is also more dependent on account permissions, supported services and changes to websites. A task that works today can require reauthorization or stop working when a service changes its interface. Treat R1 as an experimental general-purpose assistant, not as a guaranteed automation layer for every app.
Price and current-support caveats
Tom’s Guide listed a $199 launch price in 2024. A 2026 comparison reported the R1 still available at $199 and continuing to receive software updates. Stock, software support, account requirements and return terms are volatile, so verify all four before purchase. A current listing should identify the seller, the supported region and the process for obtaining updates.

Tom’s Guide described Limitless Pendant as a screenless device for transcribing conversations, producing summaries and suggesting action items. Like Bee, it is aimed at memory support rather than at operating a visible screen or manipulating websites directly.

Tom’s Guide reported a limited-time price of $99 and an optional Pro subscription costing $19 per year at the time of its 2024 coverage. Those figures are historical, not a guarantee of the current checkout price. The current sales channel, service availability and subscription terms were not established by an official current source, so verify that the device can still be activated and that its cloud processing remains available before paying.
The screenless design can be unobtrusive and lightweight, but it also removes immediate visual feedback. You may need a phone or web dashboard to check a transcript, correct a summary or review a proposed task. That trade-off favors people who want passive capture and do not need an on-device camera or display.
Why Humane AI Pin is not a viable current option
Humane’s AI Pin depended on cloud servers for its core service. The 2026 comparison sources report that Humane sold its software assets to HP and shut down the AI Pin servers on February 28, 2025. Layer3 Labs reports that the Pin has no local fallback.

Without the cloud service, its defining AI functions do not operate. A low resale price cannot fix the service dependency, and there is no current setup path that turns the discontinued product into a supported standalone assistant.
Capability comparison: capture, conversation and action
Ambient memory and meeting follow-up
Bee and Limitless are the closest matches for meetings, interviews and personal reminders. Both are documented around transcription and summaries; Amazon additionally describes Bee’s insights, reminders and to-dos. If your main question is “Can an AI pendant record meetings and make summaries?”, the answer is yes for the documented use case of Bee and Limitless, subject to service availability, consent and the product’s current settings.
General-purpose digital tasks
Rabbit R1 is the only product in this comparison documented as using a Large Action Model to interact with websites and apps. That gives it broader task ambitions than a transcription-first wearable, but it also introduces more uncertainty around integrations and reliability.

Camera and screen
Rabbit R1 has both an LCD and a rotatable camera. Bee Frontier, Bee Eclipse and Limitless Pendant are described primarily through audio capture and memory workflows, not as camera-and-screen computers. If you need to see an answer on the device or point a camera at an object, R1 is the clear fit among these products.
Privacy, consent and data handling
Any wearable that can capture speech changes the privacy situation for everyone nearby. Before using one, make a simple policy for yourself:
- Tell participants when recording begins, even when the product provides a permission prompt.
- Follow local laws governing one-party and all-party recording; requirements vary by jurisdiction.
- Do not record confidential client, medical, legal or workplace conversations unless your organization permits it.
- Check whether summaries, transcripts and reminders are stored in an account and how long they remain available.
- Use the product’s deletion controls after a meeting when retention is not needed.
Amazon’s stated Bee behavior is real-time audio processing followed by deletion of raw audio. That is narrower than a promise that all derived summaries, reminders or account metadata are immediately deleted. Review the current privacy terms for the exact retention and sharing rules before using Bee for sensitive material.
Do you need a subscription?
There is no single subscription rule across this category. The documented figures are product-specific and time-bound:
- Amazon’s 2026 Bee announcement describes the hardware and processing behavior but does not establish a final subscription price or plan structure.
- Tom’s Guide reported Limitless Pro at $19 per year in 2024, alongside a limited-time $99 hardware price. Both need current verification.
- Rabbit R1’s cited $199 figure is a hardware price. The available comparison material does not establish every current account or service charge.
- Humane’s service shutdown makes subscription analysis irrelevant for the AI Pin.
When checking a listing, separate the one-time hardware cost from recurring AI processing, storage, premium summaries and cellular or account fees. A device that is inexpensive at checkout can cost more over a year if its useful features require a paid plan.
Which AI wearable should you choose?
Choose Bee Frontier when
- You want a wearable that can move between your wrist and clothing.
- Your priority is conversation capture, summaries, reminders and to-dos.
- You accept that current retail, regional support and subscription details must be confirmed.
Choose Bee Eclipse when
- You prefer a slim accessory that attaches magnetically to your phone.
- More than 21 days of stated battery life is valuable for your routine.
- You want the same capture-focused direction in a phone-connected form factor.
Choose Rabbit R1 when
- You want a screen, camera and push-to-talk interaction.
- You are interested in experimental automation across websites and apps.
- You can tolerate changing integrations and the need to verify current software support.
Consider Limitless Pendant only after verification
- You specifically want a screenless transcription and memory device.
- You can confirm that activation, sales and cloud processing work in your region.
- You have checked the current price and whether the optional Pro plan is still offered.
Do not buy Humane AI Pin for service access
The server shutdown means the Pin cannot satisfy a current need for cloud AI assistance, regardless of its second-hand price.

Buying and setup checklist
- Identify the exact model. Confirm whether a listing is Bee Frontier, Bee Eclipse, Rabbit R1 or Limitless Pendant. Do not assume “Amazon AI Puck” is an official model.
- Check the seller and region. Verify that the seller is authorized or reputable, that the device ships to your country and that returns are available.
- Confirm activation. Make sure the companion app, account creation and cloud service are still supported before opening the package.
- Price the first year. Add any subscription, storage, cellular, tax and accessory costs to the hardware price.
- Review recording controls. Locate the start/stop control, consent prompt, transcript deletion option and account logout process.
- Test a low-risk conversation. Record a short, non-confidential conversation, inspect the transcript and summary, and verify that deleting the raw audio behaves as expected.
- Set expectations for failures. Keep notes manually when a network outage, unsupported service or account error could affect an important meeting or reservation.
Common pitfalls and recovery steps
A listing calls the product “AI Puck”
Pause the purchase. Ask for the manufacturer’s exact model number, the official support page and the app used for activation. If those cannot be supplied, treat the listing as unverified rather than assuming it is Bee.
A transcript or summary is missing
Check that recording was explicitly started, the device had power and the companion account was connected. For a critical meeting, keep an independent written record because cloud processing can fail or be delayed.
A participant objects to recording
Stop recording and delete the captured material if appropriate. Do not rely on a device prompt to override a person’s refusal or local recording law.

Rabbit R1 cannot complete an app task
Confirm the required account is still linked, the service is supported and the R1 has current software. Website redesigns and permission changes can break an action-model workflow; use the service’s normal app or website when the task is time-sensitive.
A used Humane AI Pin appears functional
Do not interpret a screen, light or charging behavior as proof that the AI service works. The cloud shutdown on February 28, 2025 is the decisive limitation, and reports indicate no local fallback.
Final decision
There is no verified standalone Amazon AI Puck to rank. In the products that can be identified, Rabbit R1 is the best general-purpose AI gadget because it combines a display, camera, push-to-talk control and an action model aimed at websites and apps. Bee Frontier and Bee Eclipse are better for ambient memory, meeting summaries and follow-up reminders, provided Amazon’s current sales and service terms work for you. Limitless Pendant is a comparable screenless transcription option whose present availability must be checked. Humane AI Pin is not a viable 2026 purchase because its cloud service no longer operates.
