Is AION 2 out yet?
Availability depends on region and date. NC announced a Korea and Taiwan launch for November 19, 2025. The official global teaser site lists October 5, 2026, for its global launch; that date is two days after the October 3, 2026, reference point used here. Check the official site and the store for your region on the day you plan to play, since a listed launch date does not by itself confirm that access is live in every market. The teaser also advertises launch celebration rewards, a scale test, and Founder’s Packs. Its listed Standard Founder’s Pack includes five days of advanced access and a 30-day membership; higher tiers add listed cosmetics and items. How are character builds different?

NC’s 2025 announcement lists eight classes and presents AION 2 as a sequel that inherits the original game’s identity and the conflict between Elyos and Asmodians. It also highlights manual combat and detailed character customization. Throne and Liberty: shape a role with two weapons
Throne and Liberty’s official gameplay description says you can equip and combine any two weapons to shape your combat role, with weapon mastery as part of the system. That is a different stated approach from choosing among AION 2’s listed classes, but feature descriptions alone cannot say which system is deeper or more enjoyable. Throne and Liberty gameplay
Which game has more to do in groups or PvP?
Throne and Liberty’s published activity range
The official gameplay page lists solo dungeons, six-player co-op dungeons, boss raids, 24v24 battlegrounds, guild control of Boonstones and Riftstones, and Castle Sieges. It also describes housing, gathering and crafting, weather-sensitive content, and day-and-night changes. That makes it the better-documented match here for someone specifically looking for a menu of group and guild activities. AION 2’s documented small-party PvE
The official global teaser lists four dungeons, each described as designed for up to five players, and companions that can become mounts and provide benefits such as auto-looting. This establishes small-party PvE and companion utility as advertised features; it does not support an equally detailed comparison of AION 2’s full endgame against Throne and Liberty’s listed modes. Can you play solo?

AION 2’s listed dungeons are for up to five players, and its teaser describes companion features. The available official descriptions do not establish how much group content is required, or whether companions can replace other players in particular activities. How do their worlds handle exploration?
AION 2 explicitly carries forward the Elyos–Asmodians conflict. In NC’s launch announcement, Executive Producer Seungwook Baek describes a world where players can “walk, fly, and swim” while exploring. Throne and Liberty’s gameplay page describes morphing for land, air, and sea traversal, as well as changes tied to weather and the day–night cycle. On August 12, 2026, the official Western service announced a planned live-operations transition to FirstSpark Games/NC in Q4 2026. The notice said accounts, characters, progression, inventory, existing Steam or console access, and cross-play would remain. It also said cross-progression would work between Steam and NC’s PURPLE platform, but not between other platforms. Because Q4 2026 was still in the future on October 3, check the official Throne and Liberty news page for revised timing or transfer instructions before making account decisions. The published plan is not a guarantee that details have remained unchanged.

What is known about support and monetization?
