Do your five Duty Quests first when you need guaranteed currency, then use your three daily Shugo Festival Reward Keys on the mini-game in which you place highest. Duty Quests provide fixed Kina and Abyss Points, while the hourly Shugo Festival converts a few minutes and one key into several reward-card picks, including Centuryroot Tokens and Enhance Stones. Neither system has a universal rewards-per-minute winner: quest duration changes with the assigned objective, and Festival value changes with your placement and the cards you receive.
Quick answer: which activity should you prioritize?
Choose according to the resource you need rather than treating the activities as substitutes.
- Need Kina or a dependable Abyss Point income? Complete Duty Quests. Every Common, Rare and Epic Duty Quest guarantees 50,000 Kina and 1,000 Abyss Points.
- Need Centuryroot Tokens or Enhance Stones in a short session? Enter the Shugo Festival. Registration takes three minutes, the mini-game lasts about 2.5 to 5 minutes, and participation is free until you claim the reward cards with a key.
- Want the best overall daily routine? Finish available Duty Quests, join a Festival when its hourly window suits you, and spend up to three keys on the mini-game where you consistently finish highest.
At level 45 and above, Festival cards supply progression materials, while Duty Quest reward slots can add tickets for other activities. Completing both systems therefore gives broader coverage than choosing only one.

How the Shugo Festival works
Hourly schedule and entry
The Shugo Festival opens every hour at :00 server time. Registration remains open for three minutes. Once registration closes, one of 11 mini-games runs for approximately 2.5 to 5 minutes, according to the AION 2 Tier List description updated October 12, 2026.
#1 Best Overall
- Compatible with Windows and Android.
- 1000Hz Polling Rate (for 2.4G and wired connection)
- Hall Effect joysticks and Hall triggers. Wear-resistant metal joystick rings.
- Extra R4/L4 bumpers. Custom button mapping without using software. Turbo function.
- Refined bumpers and D-pad. Light but tactile.
Joining the event costs nothing. A Reward Key is consumed only when you claim the post-game reward cards. This distinction matters: you can learn the event timing and participate without spending a key, then decide whether the result is worth claiming.
Keys, characters and placement
Three Reward Keys refill daily. The keys are shared by all characters on the same server, so creating or switching characters does not create a separate daily allowance. Higher placement unlocks more card picks, making your finishing position the main way to increase the value of a key.
A key pays for the complete card selection from that Festival result rather than one key per card. If you place well enough to unlock several picks, the additional cards come from the same key. Conversely, spending a key on a result with a low placement gives fewer opportunities to roll for extra rewards.

What happens if you do not spend the keys?
The allowance refills daily, but the available bank has a cap. When the bank is already full, a scheduled refill can be lost. The exact cap is not stated in the published Festival breakdown, so the safe practice is to check your key total before the next daily reset and avoid sitting at the maximum.
Shugo Festival rewards at level 45+
Guaranteed contents of selected cards
For characters level 45 and above, each selected reward card includes 50 Centuryroot Tokens and 700 Enhance Stones as its basic reward. These amounts apply per selected card, not merely per Festival entry, so a higher placement that grants more picks increases the number of basic bundles you collect from one key.
Additional rolls and reported highlights
Cards can also roll gear, Odyle, refining stones and Abyss Points. A level-45 reward report from Raid Relay highlights outcomes including 30 to 100 extra Centuryroot Tokens, 1,200 Enhance Stones and 800 Abyss Points. Those figures are reported reward highlights, not a published expected value for every mini-game or every placement; your result can differ.

Because the event contains 11 different mini-games and the available card picks depend on placement, there is no evidence-based single mini-game that always pays the most for every player. The practical measure is your own repeated finishing position: the mini-game in which you place highest generally gives you more card picks for the key you spend.
Turning Festival tokens into progression
The Festival Shop is where Centuryroot Tokens become long-term upgrades. Buy Daevanion Crystals first if character progression is your priority. Stigma Shards are the next recommended purchase. Wings, artworks and skins are later choices for players who value collection or appearance more than immediate progression.
This order is a spending priority, not a claim that cosmetic items have no value. If your build already has the progression materials you need, redirecting tokens to collection items is reasonable; the important point is to make that choice deliberately rather than spending early tokens before checking the upgrade costs you are working toward.
How Daily Duty Quests work
Unlock and daily limit
Duty Quests unlock at level 45. You can complete five per day, and the limit is shared across characters on the same server. A second character does not provide another set of five completions.
Guaranteed payment
Every Common, Rare and Epic Duty Quest guarantees 50,000 Kina and 1,000 Abyss Points. The guarantee applies to each completed quest regardless of which of those three rarity categories you receive.
The quest objective determines how long completion takes. The available information does not provide standardized times for every Duty Quest type, so a precise Kina-per-minute or Abyss-Point-per-minute figure would be misleading. A short objective can be very efficient; a lengthy objective may be worth doing for the guaranteed payout but cannot be fairly compared with a two-minute Festival round using a single universal number.

Random reward slots
In addition to the fixed Kina and Abyss Points, random reward slots can contain:
- Nightmare Dungeon tickets
- Shugo Festival Reward Keys
- Ascension Trial tickets
- Unknown Fissure tickets
- Hidden Cube keys
- Odyle
- Enhance Stones
These slots are opportunities rather than guarantees. A Duty Quest can therefore extend your activity options by supplying a ticket or an extra Festival key, but you should not budget your day on the assumption that a particular ticket will appear.
Shugo Festival vs. Duty Quests: side-by-side comparison
| Comparison | Shugo Festival | Duty Quests |
|---|---|---|
| Availability | Opens every hour at :00 server time; three-minute registration period. | Available after level 45; up to five completions per day. |
| Time required | One mini-game lasts about 2.5–5 minutes after registration. | Varies with the assigned objective; no standardized duration is published. |
| Entry cost | Participation is free; one Reward Key is spent when claiming cards. | No separate key cost is stated. |
| Daily allowance | Three Reward Keys refill daily; keys are shared across characters on a server. | Five completions per day, shared across characters on a server. |
| Guaranteed core rewards | At level 45+, each selected card gives 50 Centuryroot Tokens and 700 Enhance Stones. | Every Common, Rare and Epic quest gives 50,000 Kina and 1,000 Abyss Points. |
| Variable rewards | Cards can add gear, Odyle, refining stones and Abyss Points; higher placement grants more picks. | Random slots can add dungeon, trial or event tickets, Hidden Cube keys, Odyle or Enhance Stones. |
| Best use case | Short progression bursts and token/material farming when you can place well. | Reliable Kina and Abyss Points, with a chance to obtain tickets or extra keys. |
| Known rewards-per-minute value | Not established as a universal figure because placement and card rolls vary. | Not established because completion time depends on the objective. |
Which gives more rewards per minute?
There is no honest universal numerical winner from the available reward data. The systems measure different things:
- Festival time is predictable once you reach the event: registration is three minutes and the game is roughly 2.5–5 minutes. Your reward depends on placement and card rolls.
- Duty Quest time is unpredictable because the assigned objective changes. The payout is more stable: 50,000 Kina and 1,000 Abyss Points for each Common, Rare or Epic completion, plus whatever appears in random slots.
If you have only a few minutes, the Festival is the more practical activity because an event round has a defined time window and can produce several card bundles from one key. If your objective is Kina or Abyss Points, Duty Quests have the stronger guaranteed value even when the task takes longer. If a Duty Quest awards a ticket or extra key, its value also includes access to a later activity rather than only the immediate currency.
Comparing a Festival key directly with one Duty Quest is also misleading: a key is a limited daily resource and a quest is a completion slot. Consider the resource you are trying to obtain, the time you have before the next hourly event, and your usual Festival placement.
How to decide which Festival mini-game to play
Use placement, not a universal tier list
The published reward information does not identify one of the 11 mini-games as a permanent best choice. Since higher placement unlocks more picks, select the game in which you reliably finish near the top. A game that feels less lucrative on paper can be better for you if it produces more picks consistently.

Track your own results
For several entries, note the mini-game, your placement and the number of card picks unlocked. You do not need a complex spreadsheet; a short note on your phone is enough. After you have a personal pattern, spend keys on the format that gives you the strongest placements rather than changing games based on a single lucky or unlucky card roll.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Separate participation from claiming
You can enter a Festival without immediately committing a key. If you are testing a mini-game, learning its rules or unsure whether you will finish strongly, use the free participation opportunity to decide whether claiming that result makes sense. The key is spent at card claim, not at registration.
Recommended daily routine
- Check your level and shared allowances. Duty Quests and the level-45 Festival reward table require a level-45 character. Remember that both the five-quest limit and three-key refill are shared across characters on your server.
- Accept and complete the five Duty Quests when available. This secures up to 250,000 Kina and 5,000 Abyss Points if all five are Common, Rare or Epic completions. Those totals are simple additions of the per-quest guarantees, not a promise about any extra random slots.
- Review the random slots. Keep track of any Nightmare Dungeon, Ascension Trial, Unknown Fissure or other ticket you receive so it does not expire unused in your own schedule. The reward list confirms that these items can appear; it does not establish their individual drop rates.
- Join a convenient Shugo Festival. Be ready for the three-minute registration period at the next :00 server-time opening. The mini-game itself should take approximately 2.5–5 minutes.
- Spend up to three keys on your strongest mini-game. Use the format in which you consistently place highest, because placement controls the number of card picks. Do not spend a key merely because you entered; claim when the result is worth the pick count to you.
- Check the key bank before the next refill. Avoid leaving it at its cap, since a full bank can cause a scheduled refill to be lost.
- Spend Festival tokens deliberately. Prioritize Daevanion Crystals, then Stigma Shards, before wings, artworks or skins unless collection is your main goal.
Practical scenarios
You have five minutes before logging off
Duty Quest value depends on the assigned objective, so starting one without enough time can leave the completion unfinished. A Shugo Festival is a better fit if an hourly opening is about to begin and you can complete the registration and mini-game. Participation costs nothing; decide whether to use a key after seeing your placement.
You are saving for a progression upgrade
Complete Duty Quests for their guaranteed Kina and Abyss Points, then use Festival keys where you place well to build Centuryroot Tokens and Enhance Stones. Spend tokens on Daevanion Crystals first and Stigma Shards second. This combines dependable currency with targeted upgrade materials instead of relying on either system alone.
You are behind on several ticket-based activities
Duty Quests deserve priority because their random slots can provide Nightmare Dungeon, Ascension Trial, Unknown Fissure or other activity tickets. The tickets are not guaranteed, but completing the five daily quests gives you five chances to roll those slots while still paying the fixed Kina and Abyss Points.
You play multiple characters
Plan around the server-wide pools, not per-character assumptions. One character completing a Duty Quest reduces the five-completion allowance available to the others, and keys earned or spent by one character affect the shared Reward Key bank. Decide which character benefits most before using the daily allotment.

Common mistakes and fixes
Assuming every Festival entry costs a key
Mistake: skipping the event because you think registration consumes a key. Fix: enter freely and remember that the key is spent when you claim the reward cards.
Chasing a supposed permanent best mini-game
Mistake: selecting a game based on someone else’s placement or one unusually large card roll. Fix: use your own repeated placement history; more picks generally matter more than a single anecdotal result.
Ignoring server-wide sharing
Mistake: expecting five Duty Quests and three keys on every character. Fix: treat both allowances as shared server resources and schedule them on the character that needs the rewards.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteLetting keys sit at the refill cap
Mistake: ending the day with a full key bank. Fix: spend enough keys before the next refill to leave room for incoming keys. The exact cap is not specified, so monitor the in-game counter rather than relying on a presumed number.
Promising yourself a fixed rewards-per-minute rate
Mistake: using a single number to compare every quest with every Festival round. Fix: separate guaranteed rewards from variable rewards and record your own completion times. No standardized time table covers every Duty Quest, and no complete expected-value table covers every Festival mini-game.
Bottom line for your daily schedule
Duty Quests are the foundation when you need guaranteed Kina and Abyss Points: complete the five available server-wide slots at level 45 or above. The Shugo Festival is the efficient short-session supplement: attend its hourly window, place as high as possible, and spend up to three shared daily keys on your strongest mini-game. Use the resulting tokens for Daevanion Crystals and Stigma Shards before cosmetic purchases unless collecting appearances is your priority. Because the two systems pay different currencies and have different time requirements, the best routine is to use both rather than search for a single winner.
