They describe pet progression and convenience features separately from a cosmetic transformation unlocked by equipping a complete fromis_9-themed costume set. Treating that costume effect as a pet ability—or assigning it combat effects—is not supported by those announcements.
Are pet transforms a combat system in AION 2?
Not according to the official announcements covered here. The available material does not give pet-transform stat values, skill levels, bonus amounts, or an activation threshold. It therefore cannot support a reliable list of pet-transform effects.
This is a limit on what those announcements establish, not proof that no related mechanic exists in every current game client or update. For exact mechanics, check the relevant pet or costume tooltip in your current version of AION 2.
What the official announcements do say about pets
Server-wide pet progression
In its January 7, 2026 roadmap, NCSOFT said pet ownership and Genus Insight were moving from per-character to server-wide sharing. Genus Insight would use the highest value reached by characters on the same server, while pet levels would be aggregated across those characters. The announcement describes progression and account convenience; it does not identify a pet-transform combat bonus.

Babymeow, Aristomeow, and Stigma skills
NCSOFT’s March 25, 2026 announcement names Babymeow and Aristomeow as new pets. It also lists eight new Stigma skills, but in a separate section about player classes. The announcement does not call those Stigma skills pet skills, so they should not be used as evidence that pets have active abilities.
Auto-Loot and server sharing
In its June 17, 2026 announcement, NCSOFT described special-grade costumes and pets becoming shareable across the server and Auto-Loot becoming available for all pets. These are announced sharing and convenience changes, not stated pet-transform stats or combat bonuses.

What the fromis_9 transformation means
The June 17 announcement describes a cosmetic effect: equipping a complete fromis_9-themed costume set lets a player transform into individual members of the group. It discusses costumes, pets, and wings as distinct collaboration items and does not attribute this transformation to a pet. It also does not say the effect grants combat stats, skills, or bonuses.
Pet-transform stats, skills, and bonuses: what is known
- Stats: No numeric pet-transform stat values are established in the announcements covered here.
- Skills: No pet-transform skill names or levels are established. The named Stigma skills are presented as class skills.
- Bonuses: No pet-transform bonus amounts or activation conditions are established.
- Progression: Server-wide pet-level aggregation is described as a progression change, not a transform bonus.
- Cosmetics: The fromis_9 transformation is tied to equipping a complete themed costume set, not to a stated pet ability.
These distinctions matter because a shared pet level, an Auto-Loot feature, and a costume appearance change answer different questions. None should be converted into an unreported combat effect.

How to verify a pet or transformation effect in-game
- Open the current client’s pet details and read the tooltip for the exact pet and rarity you own.
- Check whether each listed effect is passive or requires activation, and note any stated condition or duration.
- Open the costume details separately and check whether the transformation requires a complete set.
- Confirm whether a claimed effect applies to the character, the pet, or other characters on the same server; do not infer scope from server-wide sharing alone.
Older AION materials and mechanics from other versions do not establish how AION 2 works. Use current AION 2 descriptions when checking a particular pet or costume.
