A player-authored progression guide recommends Ascension Trail as an early source. It says the activity unlocks at level 45, the lowest difficulty becomes available at 1,000 CP, and completing it three times allows you to open the rewarded Manastone Stone Box. The guide author calls it “by far the fastest and most reliable,” but that is personal guidance—not an official comparison of drop rates or farming efficiency. Read the progression guide.
Other reported content sources
Aion 2 Maps lists Transcendence, Sanctuary, and the Abyss among Manastone sources. Its source list does not provide exact mob locations or comparative drop rates, so it cannot support a ranked route beyond the Ascension Trail recommendation above. How to get higher-grade stones through Alchemy
An AION2 Hub item database listing based on the Global Launch Scale Test client dated September 19, 2026, gives an Intermediate Manastone recipe requiring Alchemy level 20, five Lesser Manastones, three Spiritstone Powder, and two Professional Ink (Bound). The listing says the craft has a 20% chance to produce an upgraded “Combo” version. The page also notes that recipe contents are not yet in client data; treat these ingredients and the chance as test-client database information, not as a verified live Global recipe. Choose a route by access, cost, and gear lifespan
There is no supported numeric efficiency ranking across the reported routes. Use these practical distinctions when deciding what to run or craft:

For early progression, the player guide advises using Lesser Manastones and Lesser Soulstones because equipment is replaced quickly, rather than spending stones on repeated rerolls. Aion 2 Maps says Manastones socket into weapons and armor, while Soulstones go in accessories; it also warns that stones do not survive gear transfer. That makes the expected lifespan of the item as important as the source of the stone: avoid investing high-grade stones in a piece you are likely to replace or transfer soon. What the published odds do—and do not—tell you
For Korea, Aion 2 Maps summarizes NCSoft’s probability disclosure version 20260922200504, updated September 23, 2026. On the best non-Abyss stone, the disclosure gives a 1.5% chance per stone for top-tier Attack +10 and a 0.075% chance per stone for top-tier Damage Boost +100. These are Korea disclosure figures, not Global-published odds. Read the probability summary.
The same summary reports five damage lines with chances of 0.25%, 0.175%, and 0.075% across basic, high, and top tiers. The exact conversion of those stone stats into character-sheet percentages is creator advice or inference, not a fact established by the cited disclosure. In its Global checks dated September 28, 2026, Aion 2 Maps says it had not found a separate published Global probability disclosure in the material it reviewed. Do not apply Korea’s rates to Global as if they were official Global odds.

Practical farming plan
- Check your progression. If you meet the guide’s level 45 and 1,000 CP thresholds, run Ascension Trail on its lowest available difficulty and complete the three clears needed for the described Stone Box.
- Use the box for current progression. Favor lower-grade stones on short-lived gear and avoid repeated rerolls while you are still replacing equipment rapidly.
- Consider Alchemy only after checking the live recipe. The published Intermediate Manastone ingredients and Combo chance come from Global Launch Scale Test database data, so verify them in your client before spending materials.
- Compare other content by its actual rewards. Transcendence, Sanctuary, and the Abyss are listed as sources, but no exact drop rates or numeric efficiency comparison is established by the available source list.
- Invest in gear you intend to keep. Since the fan guide says stones do not survive transfer, treat socketing as a gear-specific expense.
