For freelancers in India who need to capture many client URLs, the best fit depends on whether the job is a one-off list, a recurring report, or part of a coded workflow. ScreenshotNeo is the first API to consider: it bills only clean shots, offers a $5 paid plan for 3,000 screenshots, and includes an MCP server for AI agents. For a CSV-based job, ScreenshotAPI.net documents dashboard and API bulk processing; for scheduled batches, Urlbox CaptureDeck publishes scheduling and retention features.

Prices below are vendor-published USD amounts checked on October 3, 2026—not confirmed India checkout totals. The reviewed sources do not establish INR billing, India-specific taxes or payment methods, or account availability for every vendor. Check checkout and plan terms before committing.

Which bulk screenshot tool fits your freelance work?

Choose by input method and how often you repeat the work, not by headline price alone. These are vendor-published capabilities and prices, not results from hands-on testing.

Tool Best fit Published free or entry offer Bulk or scheduling details
ScreenshotNeo Developers who want an API or AI-agent workflow with clean captures 1,000 screenshots/month free, no card; Starter is $5/month for 3,000 Bulk capture supports up to 100 URLs per call; MCP server includes screenshot, page-info and PDF tools. See the documentation.
ScreenshotAPI.net A list of client URLs submitted through CSV or JSON/API Vendor lists a seven-day trial with 100 screenshots; Essential is $9/month for 1,000 Bulk requests support up to 200 URLs at once; the page lists a limit of 20 requests per minute. CSV capture is described in the vendor’s help page.
ScreenshotOne Freelancers already building scripts or integrations Vendor advertises 100 free screenshots per month without a card POST /bulk accepts multiple requests. Jobs are lazy by default: rendering occurs when screenshot URLs are downloaded, unless execution is requested.
Urlbox CaptureDeck Recurring scheduled sets with stored deliverables Solo is $29/month for 1,000 captures; seven-day trial without a card Solo lists daily scheduling, up to 50 webpages at once, and one year of retention. Prices exclude VAT.
GoFullPage A few manual full-page captures without an API setup Paid feature packaging and current availability depend on the extension listing Vendor describes PNG, JPG, and PDF export. The reviewed information does not establish an efficient batch workflow.

ScreenshotNeo’s paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 screenshots; higher published monthly tiers are Growth $15 for 15,000, Pro $39 for 60,000, Scale $99 for 250,000, and Business $249 for 1,000,000. Yearly billing gives two months free; every feature is on every plan. These are published USD amounts, and final India checkout costs may differ.

ScreenshotAPI.net advertises a temporary 50% first-month promotion alongside crossed-out prices; do not treat that as its recurring price. ScreenshotOne’s own comparison article cites a $17/month tier for 2,000 screenshots, but that amount was not verified against its pricing page, so it is not used here as a comparable plan price.

How to choose for an India-based freelance workflow

Match the submission method to the job

  • One-off, small list: a browser extension such as GoFullPage keeps setup simple, but each capture is manual. Verify supported browsers and paid features in the relevant extension store before installing.
  • Client sends a spreadsheet: ScreenshotAPI.net documents CSV upload through its dashboard or API; its help page says CSV-column bulk screenshots require a paid tier. Check the input format and outputs before preparing a large list.
  • Scripted workflow: ScreenshotNeo, ScreenshotAPI.net, and ScreenshotOne expose API-oriented bulk workflows. Compare per-request URL limits, rate or concurrency limits, and whether jobs render immediately or only when output is fetched.
  • Recurring report: CaptureDeck’s published scheduling and retention may reduce repeat organization work. Confirm that its batch size and retention period match client deliverable requirements.

Estimate real workload and cost

Count unique URLs, page variants, scheduled runs, and likely retries per billing month. A capture quota does not necessarily mean one complete client project: different viewport sizes, page states, or reruns may require additional captures. Divide the published monthly price by the included quota only for a rough list-price comparison; it does not account for currency conversion, taxes, payment fees, failed-render rules, or storage needs.

Before paying from India, check the final checkout currency and amount, tax treatment, accepted payment methods, account eligibility, cancellation terms, and whether the vendor bills failed captures. ScreenshotNeo states that bot checks/CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits cost nothing, and each response identifies the page verdict and billing status with headers. Urlbox says failed captures are not charged; do not assume the same rule for other providers without checking their terms.

Check deadline and deliverable constraints

  • For an API, determine whether it returns images directly or creates URLs or jobs that need another download step.
  • For a large batch, compare maximum URLs per request with the number of requests allowed per minute or simultaneous jobs. A high per-request cap does not guarantee a fast completion time.
  • Decide whether you need PDFs, CSV reports, ZIP downloads, cloud storage, scheduled captures, or long-term retention before selecting a tier.
  • Check full-page behavior, lazy-loaded content, viewport dimensions, cookie-banner handling, and whether third-party pages are supported on the plan.

Its differentiator for client work is the pre-capture cleanup: it accepts consent banners like a visitor and removes more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets; each step can be disabled. It also reports page verdict and billing status, so the freelancer can distinguish a billed clean screenshot from a bot check, blank page, timeout, failed load, or cache hit.

ScreenshotAPI.net: CSV and API bulk processing

The vendor’s pricing page lists Essential at $9/month for 1,000 screenshots, with up to 200 URLs in a bulk capture request and 20 requests per minute. It also lists a seven-day, 100-screenshot trial. CSV upload and JSON-based REST requests are covered in the bulk documentation; the vendor’s help page says CSV-column bulk capture is only available on a paid tier. Verify the current plan, quota, and format before sending a client list.

ScreenshotOne: bulk endpoint with lazy execution by default

ScreenshotOne advertises 100 free screenshots per month without a card. Its bulk documentation describes multiple requests through POST /bulk, with shared options that can be overridden for individual URLs. By default, bulk work is lazy: a screenshot is taken when its generated URL is downloaded. Set execute: true when the job must run before the response, and account for concurrency limits and processing time.

Urlbox CaptureDeck: scheduled sets and retention

The CaptureDeck pricing page lists three relevant monthly tiers:

CaptureDeck plan Published monthly price Monthly captures Pages at once Other listed terms
Solo $29 1,000 50 Daily scheduling; one year of retention
Basic $49 3,000 100 Prices exclude VAT
Standard $99 10,000 300 Prices exclude VAT

The page lists a seven-day trial without a credit card. Urlbox also says failed captures are not charged and cached render-link captures are kept for 30 days by default. Its separate general API plans are not interchangeable with CaptureDeck: the general pricing page lists Lo-Fi at $19/month for 2,000 renders and limits it to low-quality third-party website screenshots or thumbnails. Its FAQ says the annual price works out to just over $4/month; verify the billing term and current checkout price before comparing it with a monthly plan.

GoFullPage: manual capture for occasional work

GoFullPage describes a full-page browser extension with PNG, JPG, and PDF export. The vendor’s product page and extension-store listings are the places to verify current browser support and which features require payment. The reviewed information does not establish a practical bulk workflow, so it is better suited to occasional pages than a recurring URL list.

DIY: send a bulk list through a screenshot API

For a scripted job, prepare and validate a URL list, choose a provider’s bulk format, then save outputs with a stable client-and-date naming scheme. The sample below illustrates ScreenshotOne’s documented endpoint structure; consult its current bulk documentation for required request fields and authentication. Bulk URLs may be lazy, so request execution when needed and fetch the generated screenshot URLs to trigger rendering otherwise.

  1. Normalize the input list: use one absolute URL per entry, remove duplicates, and confirm client authorization to capture the pages.
  2. Set shared capture settings such as viewport or format, then add per-URL overrides only where necessary.
  3. Submit the batch to POST /bulk following the provider’s authentication and payload requirements. For ScreenshotOne, set execute: true if rendering must happen before the response.
  4. Record each submitted URL alongside its returned result or screenshot URL, then download and verify outputs before delivery.
  5. For a deadline-bound job, start with a small sample batch and measure actual completion time and failure rate before submitting the full client set.

Or skip the browser setup

One GET request can return a screenshot or PDF with ScreenshotNeo; the API accepts common parameter names used by other screenshot APIs, which can make switching easier. Create an API key and replace YOUR_API_KEY with it. See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for options and response details.

const q = new URLSearchParams({ access_key: 'YOUR_API_KEY', url: 'https://stripe.com' });
const res = await fetch(`https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot?${q}`);
  • Consent banners, newsletter popups, and chat widgets are removed before capture; each cleanup step can be turned off.
  • Bot checks, blank pages, failed loads, timeouts, and cache hits are not billed; response headers report the page verdict and billing status.
  • An MCP server lets Claude, Cursor, and other MCP clients use screenshot, page-info, and PDF tools.
  • The free plan includes 1,000 screenshots a month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000.

Troubleshooting bulk screenshot jobs

A batch finishes with fewer images than URLs

Check each URL’s individual result rather than assuming a batch request succeeded as a whole. Look for invalid or redirected URLs, bot checks, blank pages, timeouts, and provider-specific failure statuses. Confirm the provider’s failed-capture billing rule and rerun only failures where possible.

A ScreenshotOne job appears not to have rendered yet

Its bulk behavior is lazy by default. Download the generated screenshot URL to trigger capture, or set execute: true when submission must initiate execution; allow for documented concurrency limits and processing time.

A CSV upload is rejected or unavailable

Check the required CSV column and formatting in the vendor’s instructions, and confirm the account is on a tier that includes CSV bulk capture. ScreenshotAPI.net’s help page says CSV-column bulk screenshots require a paid tier.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The job is too slow for the deadline

Reduce batch size, remove duplicate URLs, and check requests-per-minute or concurrency ceilings. Run a small representative batch first; browser rendering time varies by page and network conditions, and the reviewed vendor pages do not establish a universal completion speed.

The bill differs from the advertised USD price

Compare the plan’s billing period, quota, VAT or other tax, currency conversion, and payment fees shown at checkout. The reviewed sources do not establish India-specific INR pricing or tax handling.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use screenshots of client websites commercially?

That depends on your client agreement, the website’s content and terms, and the intended distribution. Confirm you have permission to capture and deliver the pages, particularly when screenshots will be republished or include personal information.

Is a bulk screenshot API the same as a visual monitoring service?

Not necessarily. Bulk capture can produce a set of images without providing change detection or monitoring. Confirm that a provider explicitly offers comparison or alerting if those are part of the client requirement.
