What does the new Ultimate Spider-Man widescreen fix change?
The update is for the original PC game, not a modern Marvel’s Spider-Man title, a suit mod or a complete remaster. The ThirteenAG Widescreen Fixes Pack release page identifies the project as Ultimate Spider-Man Widescreen Fix and lists these changes:
- Aspect ratio: fixes the game’s widescreen presentation.
- HUD: partially fixes the heads-up display.
- Field of view: fixes the FOV and lets players adjust it through an INI configuration file.
- FMVs: fixes the presentation of full-motion video sequences.
- Frame rate: provides a changeable FPS limit.
A report by Adrian Werner at Gamepressure, published October 3, 2026, adds that the update addresses stretched interface and menu elements, offers optional SMAA anti-aliasing, and increases rendering distance. The report describes an option that renders a tenfold area as experimental and notes that not everything works perfectly, so treat it as an optional tweak rather than a dependable improvement.
How do I play Ultimate Spider-Man on PC in widescreen?
You need a copy of the PC game separately: the fix modifies the game and does not include it. The compatibility reference for the underlying title is PCGamingWiki’s Ultimate Spider-Man page. Current seller stock and the availability of a legitimate copy have not been verified.

- Open the Widescreen Fixes Pack releases page and locate the Ultimate Spider-Man Widescreen Fix archive and its linked configuration materials.
- Use the release’s linked default INI or configuration information to review the available options, including the FPS limit and adjustable FOV.
- Follow the archive’s instructions for placing its files with the game. The indexed release excerpt says to extract the archive to the game directory, but does not provide a complete installation walkthrough; do not assume that instructions for a different mod apply.
- Launch the game and check the display and interface. If a setting causes problems, restore the default INI values or remove the fix files according to the project’s release guidance.
The release information does not establish a complete compatibility matrix for modern resolutions, Windows versions, graphics cards or every frame-rate setting. Results can therefore vary by setup.
Is this the same as Ultimate Spider-Man Remaster Mode?
No. The older Ultimate Spiderman Remaster Mode on Nexus Mods is a separate ReShade-based appearance package, not the current WidescreenFix update. Its documentation says to move its files into the game directory, install ReShade for the game executable, and load the package’s settings file. It also lists DirectX 9 and says a powerful CPU and GPU are required, with integrated graphics unsupported. Those requirements and steps apply to that package only.

What about the Ultimate Spider-Man debug menu?
The UNK9090 PC debug-menu project is another separate add-on. It requires Ultimate Spider-Man PC Widescreen and Visual C++ 2015, and adds debug-oriented functions such as warping and character viewing. Those dependencies are for the debug menu, not evidence of requirements for the WidescreenFix itself.
