Databricks says bringing a partner into presales presentations can help customers commit to larger, multi-year data and AI programs—and create substantial implementation work for the partner. The examples cited by its Australia and New Zealand leaders are vendor-reported deal anecdotes, not an independently verified average or proof that joint presentations alone produce bigger deals.
What Databricks says is happening in joint sales presentations
Adam Beavis, Databricks vice president and country manager, described a pattern in which Databricks makes a presales presentation with a partner present, after which a customer may approve a three- or four-year commitment. In examples he cited, commitments were $4 million or $5 million. Reseller News reported his comments on 29 September 2026; it did not provide a sample size, calculation method, or average deal value. The account is specifically about Databricks’ Australia/New Zealand channel activity and statements from its APJ leadership. It should not be read as a measured global trend or a guarantee that a partner’s presence will change a customer’s decision.
How the partner can contribute before and after a deal
The reported model joins Databricks’ platform pitch with partner expertise, then places much of the resulting implementation work with the partner. The source does not quantify which party leads discovery or solution design in every deal, so the roles below describe the commercial distinction in the account, not a fixed division of labor.

The services figure is an estimate from Beavis as relayed by Reseller News, not an audited measure. For partner firms, the implication is that platform commitments may carry a separate opportunity to deliver migration, implementation, and data or AI consulting. A customer evaluating a proposal should assess that services scope separately from the platform commitment.
Why Databricks wants reusable partner delivery
Corrie Briscoe, Databricks APJ vice president of partnerships, described a strategy of starting with “beachhead” customers and workloads—early examples that help develop expertise—and then packaging intellectual property into service delivery kits. The aim, she said, is to let partners address customer needs faster. This is a stated approach and intended enablement, not a quantified forecast of partner revenue or proof that every kit is already available.

Databricks’ Partner Solutions and Accelerators page provides related context: it describes Brickbuilder Solutions as end-to-end lakehouse solutions and services for cloud migrations and common industry use cases, and Brickbuilder Accelerators as pre-built code and frameworks for implementing a methodology or Databricks capability. Briscoe’s reference to service delivery kits does not establish that every such kit is a Brickbuilder product.
Industry use cases and specialist skills shape the pitch
Briscoe pointed to skills transformation and agentic workloads for HR teams, as well as customer-experience transformation for CMOs, as examples of opportunities suited to industry-specific partner expertise. She also described partners diversifying and building specializations. These examples illustrate the intended role of partners: connect the platform to a particular business function and its practical needs, rather than relying on a generic technology presentation.

Skills remain a constraint as well as an investment area. Briscoe said Databricks’ global investment in skills and enablement training was close to $20 million, with a “good percentage” in Australia; she did not give an exact Australian amount. Databricks’ Partner Program page separately lists training and technical enablement among partner benefits.

Briscoe characterized the preceding five years as a period focused on winning initial use cases at enterprise customers. Her next-stage goal is for partners to build longer customer relationships by bringing successive use cases onto the platform. In that view, a large initial commitment is only part of the channel opportunity: partners may continue to contribute as customers identify additional data and AI projects.

Databricks’ partner page also describes co-selling access, joint go-to-market funding, connections with its sales teams, technical enablement, and partner categories including consulting and systems integrators, connected partners, data partners, and built-on partners. It describes progression through program tiers. Eligibility and benefits can change, so firms should confirm current terms directly with Databricks.

What customers and partners should take from the claims
- For customers: Evaluate the platform commitment, implementation scope, delivery responsibilities, and partner capabilities as related but distinct parts of a proposal.
- For partners: The reported opportunity is not only co-selling; it can include paid services delivery and, over time, work on additional customer use cases.
- For both: Treat the cited contract and services amounts as examples reported by Databricks leadership, not standard pricing, guaranteed partner revenue, or independently verified market statistics.
