In the United States, check your ZIP code on the WNBA League Pass page, then check the specific matchup on the WNBA schedule for its broadcaster. The game’s market and your location determine whether League Pass can show it live.
Why a WNBA game is blacked out
Blackouts are rights restrictions. The WNBA says local and national content providers hold exclusive rights to televise certain games live. League Pass therefore does not carry every game live in every location, even when it is the service you use for other matchups.

Local restrictions depend on where you are watching. The WNBA says it may determine location using your IP address or enabled location services; in the US, a ZIP code helps identify local team coverage. If you travel or move, the local restrictions that apply can change.
How to check whether a game is available where you are
- Check your US ZIP code: Open the WNBA League Pass page and use its ZIP-code availability checker to see local coverage.
- Find the exact game: Look up the matchup on the WNBA schedule and read its broadcaster or “Where Can I Watch” listing for your market.
- Check again close to tipoff: The WNBA says distributor lists can be updated and are subject to change. A season-wide list of broadcast partners cannot establish which provider carries a particular game in your area.
- Use the listed broadcaster for a live blackout: Depending on the game, that may be a local station, regional sports network, or national distributor. Do not assume that a subscription to one streaming service includes every matchup.
- If you missed the live window, check League Pass for the replay: Timing varies by the type of blackout and, for some restrictions, by country.
What to expect by location and game type
United States: national broadcasts
Games carried nationally by outlets listed by the WNBA are not available live on League Pass in the US. Its August 12, 2026 blackout article names ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, Disney+, CBS, Paramount+, NBC, Peacock, USA Network, and Amazon Prime Video. The FAQ and product page have overlapping but not identical outlet lists, so use the specific game’s schedule listing rather than treating any static channel list as exhaustive.

The WNBA’s 2026 schedule names partners including ABC/ESPN, CBS/Paramount+, NBC/Peacock, Prime Video, ION, USA Network, and NBA TV. League Pass carries select live games, and local blackouts may apply; a partner’s presence on the schedule does not mean it carries every game or carries it in every market.
United States: local team broadcasts
A local telecast of your WNBA team can be unavailable live on League Pass within that team’s applicable local footprint. Use the ZIP checker and the matchup’s broadcaster listing to identify the live option. The WNBA’s location checks mean an out-of-market game may be treated differently from the same game watched within its local footprint.
Canada and other countries
In Canada, the WNBA lists nationally carried games on TSN, Sportsnet (SN), CTV, and CTV2 as unavailable live on League Pass. It also identifies select LIVE Tempo games as unavailable live in Canada. Check the current Canadian schedule because specific games and providers can change.

The WNBA says that in territories where League Pass is available, games are available live except for local and national blackout restrictions in the US and Canada. This does not establish availability in countries where the service itself is not offered.

Special events
The WNBA’s blackout article says the All-Star Friday Night event, WNBA All-Star Game, and Commissioner’s Cup championship game will not be live on League Pass in the US or Canada and will be available on demand after they conclude. Check the applicable season’s schedule for current event rules.
When a blacked-out game’s replay appears
| Restriction | League Pass replay timing stated by the WNBA |
|---|---|
| US national blackout | On demand at 6 a.m. Eastern Time the following day. |
| US local blackout | Shortly after the game concludes. |
| Canada national blackout | Shortly after the game concludes. |
These windows are not interchangeable: in particular, a US nationally blacked-out game has a stated next-day release time, while US local and Canadian national blackouts are listed as replayable shortly after the game ends.

What League Pass and device support do—and do not—change
League Pass is useful for out-of-market games and on-demand viewing, but it is not a guarantee of live access to every matchup. The WNBA supports devices including Amazon Fire TV; watching on another supported device does not change broadcast rights or remove a blackout. The WNBA also offers League Pass through Amazon Prime Subscriptions in select markets, but a subscription purchased through Amazon can be watched only on Amazon Prime platforms. Confirm market availability and the game’s listing before subscribing for a particular live matchup.
The WNBA page displayed an annual price of $39.99 when checked on October 4, 2026; prices can change. That price does not change the blackout rules.
