B&H Photo’s early listings for four AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9000WX processors were reported on July 14, 2025. The pages said preorders would open July 23, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time—a date that has passed. At the time, B&H had not posted prices.
What happened with the Threadripper PRO 9000WX listings?
HotHardware reported that B&H Photo had product pages for the Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9995WX, 9985WX, 9975WX, and 9965WX before the stated preorder date. The report said the pages scheduled preorders for July 23, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. ET. AMD’s contemporaneous availability statement, as quoted in HotHardware, said select Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9000 WX-series processors would be available from retailers starting in July 2025. HotHardware’s July 14, 2025 report covers the listing and timing; PC Gamer’s July 15, 2025 coverage also describes the preorder date.
This is historical listing news, not a current preorder announcement or confirmation of present-day stock. The sources establish what B&H’s pages reportedly showed in July 2025, not whether the retailer currently has these processors available.
Which processors were listed, and what were their reported specifications?
The following figures were published by HotHardware in its July 14, 2025 report. They are reported specifications, not results from comparative testing.
#1 Best Overall
- AMD Ryzen Threadripper Processors for Desktop Workstations
- Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9000 WX-Series
| Processor | Cores / threads | Base to boost clock | Total cache | L3 cache | TDP |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9995WX | 96 / 192 | 2.5–5.4 GHz | 480 MB | 384 MB | 350 W |
| Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9985WX | 64 / 128 | 3.2–5.4 GHz | 320 MB | 128 MB | 350 W |
| Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9975WX | 32 / 64 | 4.0–5.4 GHz | 160 MB | 128 MB | 350 W |
| Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9965WX | 24 / 48 | 4.2–5.4 GHz | 152 MB | 128 MB | 350 W |
The 9995WX is the four-model list’s 96-core, 192-thread flagship. The core counts and clock ranges distinguish the tiers; all four are listed at a 350 W TDP. These specifications alone do not establish how the processors compare in real workloads or which offers better value.
Did B&H list prices, and are the circulating figures official?
No. HotHardware said the early B&H pages did not show prices, and AMD had not provided MSRPs in the reported context. Dollar figures circulated elsewhere were estimates inferred from retailer search filters, not posted B&H preorder prices or confirmed MSRPs. PC Gamer likewise characterized the circulated amounts as estimates. There is therefore no confirmed transaction price in these reports to use for a value comparison.

What about the other 9000WX models?
HotHardware’s report also describes the 9955WX as a 16-core, 32-thread part with a 4.5–5.4 GHz clock range, 80 MB total cache, and 350 W TDP. It describes the 9945WX as a 12-core, 24-thread part with a 4.7–5.4 GHz range, 76 MB total cache, and 350 W TDP. Those two models were not among the four B&H pages identified in the early-listing report.
In the paragraph about the 24-core processor, the report appears to repeat the name “9975WX.” The 24-core model in the four-model list is the 9965WX; the 9975WX is listed as the 32-core part.
