Is Red Dead Redemption on Netflix and mobile?
Yes. Netflix’s December 3, 2025 guide says subscribers can download and play Red Dead Redemption on a mobile device with no ads or in-app purchases. The mobile release also includes the standalone Undead Nightmare expansion.

What you need for Netflix mobile
- A Netflix subscription and a supported mobile device: an Android phone or tablet, iPhone, or iPad.
- Download the game through the mobile app experience; it is included with the subscription rather than sold with in-app purchases.
- Use the mobile-optimized controls. The official information does not provide a comprehensive device-by-device comparison of resolution, frame rate, or graphics.

Which platforms have the December 2025 release?
Rockstar announced the release for iOS, Android, Netflix, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2, pairing both games. The console versions were developed with Double Eleven and Cast Iron Games, according to Rockstar’s November 13, 2025 announcement.
On consoles, Rockstar Store describes the package as the complete single-player experiences of both games, with additional content from the Game of the Year Edition. Red Dead Redemption has no multiplayer content. The Rockstar Store listing records December 2, 2025 as the release date.

Who can get a free upgrade to PS5 or Xbox Series?
Rockstar’s announcement says owners of the PS4 and Nintendo Switch versions, and owners of the digital backward-compatible version on Xbox One, can upgrade digitally for free and carry over game progress. Rockstar Support separately confirms the PS4-to-PS5 upgrade is free; its PS4-to-PS5 upgrade instructions were last updated December 1, 2025.

At launch, Rockstar said the console release would be available in the GTA+ Games Library and PlayStation Plus Game Catalog on December 2, 2025. That announcement confirms launch-date inclusion, not whether either catalog still carries the game now. Check the live catalog for your region and subscription tier before relying on access.
