At CES 2025, ASUS announced a broad range of PCs spanning Copilot+ laptops, business systems, compact PCs, and desktop products. The featured consumer Copilot+ models use Snapdragon X-series, AMD Ryzen AI 300-series, or Intel Core Ultra platforms; they are not all the same kind of PC or built for the same buyer. The Zenbook A14 (UX3407) is the clearest example of ASUS’s portability pitch, with manufacturer claims of under-1-kg weight, up to 45 TOPS of NPU performance, and more than 32 hours of battery life.

What ASUS announced at CES 2025

ASUS presented a portfolio announcement, not a single PC or one uniform Copilot+ specification. Its consumer announcement grouped featured Copilot+ models around three processor platforms: Snapdragon X-series, AMD Ryzen AI 300-series, and Intel Core Ultra. The broader lineup also reached beyond consumer laptops to commercial PCs, compact PCs, and desktops.

Independent CES coverage additionally reported on products including the Zenbook Duo, Vivobook Pro 15, Vivobook S14 and S16, V-series desktops, and ExpertCenter AiO systems. That reporting offers context on the breadth of the event, but configurations and availability should be confirmed against official, model-specific information before choosing a particular machine.

How the lineup maps to different buyers

Segment What it covers What to consider
Portable consumer laptops Zenbook models, including the Zenbook A14 UX3407 Weight, battery-life evidence, screen, ports, and the exact processor and memory configuration.
Mainstream and creator-oriented laptops Vivobook models, including the S-series and Pro products reported at CES Match the display, graphics capability, memory, and storage to everyday or creator workloads; confirm the specifications of the exact model.
Business systems Commercial PCs in ASUS’s broader portfolio Check the exact business configuration, manageability, connectivity, and support terms rather than assuming consumer-model features apply.
Compact PCs and desktops Compact systems, V-series desktops, and ExpertCenter AiO products featured in CES coverage Consider desk space, upgrade needs, graphics requirements, and whether the all-in-one or desktop form factor suits the workspace.

There is no sound basis here for ranking these families against one another: that requires comparable configurations and testing. For a specific purchase, compare the regional model’s processor platform, display type and size, memory and storage, graphics, connectivity, and live price and availability.

Zenbook A14: the portability example

ASUS identifies the Zenbook A14 as the UX3407 model family and describes it as a Snapdragon X-series Copilot+ laptop. In its 2025 CES announcement, ASUS claimed the laptop weighs less than 1 kg, its Qualcomm Hexagon NPU delivers up to 45 TOPS, and its battery lasts more than 32 hours.

Those numbers are manufacturer-published claims, not independent test results. ASUS’s cited announcement excerpt does not provide a battery test protocol, and real runtime can vary with configuration, workload, settings, and test conditions. Treat the figures as a reason to investigate the A14 if portability matters—not as a guarantee of what a particular user will experience.

What the Copilot+ claim does—and does not—tell you

The Copilot+ label is part of how ASUS positioned selected PCs in this CES announcement; it does not mean every product in the wider lineup is a Copilot+ laptop or has identical capabilities. Compare the exact model and configuration for the processor platform and hardware features relevant to your work.

ASUS’s announcement also quoted Mark Linton, Microsoft’s Vice President of Device Partner Sales, describing Copilot+ PCs as “the fastest, most intelligent, and most secure Windows PCs ever built, with AI experiences that inspire productivity and creativity.” This is a promotional statement by a Microsoft executive reproduced by ASUS, not an independently established benchmark or neutral comparison.

Availability: distinguish the 2025 launch from current stock

ASUS USA announced on January 27, 2025 that the Zenbook A14 UX3407QA-PS76 was available online through the ASUS Store and Best Buy, and referenced an additional Best Buy configuration. That dated US launch information does not establish current inventory, pricing, or availability in other regions. Check the retailer’s live listing for the exact configuration before buying.

How to choose among the announced PCs

  1. Start with the job and form factor. Decide whether you need a highly portable laptop, a mainstream or creator-focused notebook, a business system, or a fixed desktop setup.
  2. Check the exact model code. Product-family names can cover different regional configurations. Verify the processor, display, memory, storage, graphics, and ports on the listing for the unit you intend to buy.
  3. Match claims to evidence. Treat ASUS’s A14 weight, NPU, and battery figures as manufacturer claims; seek independent testing if measured performance or runtime is decisive.
  4. Verify local availability and price. Use current regional retailer or ASUS listings rather than relying on a January 2025 launch announcement.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
